É uma pena este conteúdo não estar disponível em portugues para mais pessoas. Os calvinistas ganham porque eles estão muito presentes nas redes sociais e é por isso ganham muitos de nós jovens.

I never understood why people believe that sinners chose or want to be in hell. I mean no criminal chooses to go to jail or to be sentenced to capital punishment

It's our nature. The first thing Adam and Eve did after creation was to disobey God. We are all guilty. We deserve hell/jail. But, fortunately, there's a way out.

Personally, I believe Armani is a better clothing designer than Calvin Klein.

This was a useful lecture but there is more than one alternative to Calvinism besides Arminianism each of them is preferable to Calvinism e.g. Molinism, Provisionism, and Dynamic Omniscience.
As Roger said Arminianism is a lot closer to Calvinism than many realize. This is true Arminianism holds to major Calvinistic/Augustinian doctrinal errors such as Inherited Total Depravity/Total Inability (Of men to respond to the Gospel), the election of and predetermination of men to salvation (Albeit according to foreknowledge).
My greatest criticism of the lecture was the mischaracterization of some Christians as Pelagians or Semi-Pelagians and the claim that they reject Prevenient Grace.
This charge is sometimes made against Provisionists. I have never encountered an argument that rejects prevenient grace. All Christians hold that God initiates and makes the first moves in prior to salvation. However, Provisionists reject the Augustinian doctrine of Inherited Total Inability and therefore reject the Arminian Doctrine of Prevenient Grace which is seen as a necessity to overcome Inherited Total Depravity.
Both 'Election' and 'Predestination' are determinations by God towards those who are already believers for those 'In Christ. They are not actions by which anyone is placed into or determined to be placed into Christ, whether as the Calvinist claims unconditionally or as the Arminian claims on the basis of the foreknown faith of the believer.
Election throughout scripture is an election to service and it is corporate the believer 'In Christ' shares in the election of Christ.
In Predestination those who are (already) 'In Christ' are predestined to be conformed to His image and to adoption that takes place at the ressurection of belivers see Romans 8.

I do think Leighton is dangerous in that he definitely seems to teach (I've listened to him from day 1) that we desire God without any help. That is not biblical at all. We love our darkness rather than light. We do not in ourselves desire God.
I do think he dumbs down the significance of the fall.

Leighton REGULARLY reiterates that "Provisionism" DOES NOT say that we do ANYTHING
" in ourselves" or "without any help."
      The Scriptures agree...
      "Faith comes by HEARING...""
      and'
..."it is the POWER of God unto salvation for ALL WHO BELIEVE... "
Leighton says all the time that God has ALREADY ACTED and continues to act to bring us to Himself... @@Romans1136.

      Absolutely. No question.
But the problem is I think he misses is in and of ourselves we do not want God. Hence the Spirit must draw us. I'm not talking about pre faith regeneration as I do not see that anywhere in scripture, but a general drawing.

But that's another reason why Provisionism is NOT Calvinism or Arminianism.
You're forgetting the "other verse" about "drawing"--
"But when I am lifted up, I will draw all men to myself." John 12:32
So, that's been accomplished at the cross.
And God is drawing ALL the time via:
      1) creation.
      2) the Word.
      3) witnessing by Christians.
      4) even by supernatural dreams and visions and so on to reach the lost (as many testimonies are currently saying, especially in the Muslim world...)
      @@Romans1136.
It's SYSTEMATIC theologies that set up these issues that've already been solved.

Ok, I believe God is a EOS because of John 3:16, ALL are to come and partake of his gift , ALL are invited to partake of his salvation that he has freely given to us! Enough with the religious titles! Serving Christ and gathering his sheep is what counts! Preach the gospel of Christ, preach to the lost, to those who need to hear his hope and great peace of salvation!
