Can we leave hunting in the previous century? Other animals have right to live too. Leave them alone.

I love your voice and videos of your birds I even think hunting is ok, BUT! I must say it was very disappointing to learn you breed your dog, knowing about pet overpopulation and there are pure-breed pointers in rescues in every country, waiting to be rehomed. please at least give it some thought for the next time you want to breed her. Thank you, from 1 of your subscribers

Thanks for your comments. Luna has only had two litters in her life. One in 2020 and one in 2022. She has now been spayed as we don't want any further litters from her. I appreciate your concern and agree that many are overbred as pet cash cows. Sadly rescues often have lots of strict guidelines and won't rehome into working homes or homes that use kennels. We have taken on rescue dogs in the past but after a horrific incident last year where a rescue German wirehaired pointer killed one of our other dogs without warning we will never go down that route again. For us working dogs need to have full known history and extensive breeding line information. We only breed very occasionally for dogs needed for specific work. Hope this helps and thank you for watching the channel.

Although we eat animals, we are ambivalent about hunting, especially 'sport' hunting because what is so often the canned, relatively indescriminate destruction of animals should not be a recreational pastime. BUT, we do support your skilled, ethical and selective hunting and your commitment to your animals. So thank you for your amazing insights on this channel. I hope it helps people understand the vast difference between turning up to someone's estate and blowing away anything that moves and, well, this. Love your dogs and wish our poodle was less of a prey-seeker lol.

RUclips originally suggested your videos to me, I think, because of Fable. Animal communication and intelligence have been of constant interest to me, and I'd looked at lots of videos related to that. But I've been so happy to watch whatever content you've explored because of your clear, detailed explanations of topics I know little about, and your humane care for all the animals. The amazing beauty of where you are on the planet helps, too.
And who doesn't love puppies, especially piles of them!

What an interesting lifestyle. Dogs, birds and humans working together to hunt. I grew up in a farming hunting community. Birds were not part of the hunting. I was not cut out to live this lifestyle. I became a psychiatrist (MD). One must have coordination skills but alas, such was not my gift. Solving mysteries, understanding medical issues I did quite well early on so I went to medical school to get the credentials to do what I do naturally. I love division of labor.

Awesome video. I'm just curious as to the link between the dog and the bird? I was thinking that the dogs flush out prey like pheasants or rodents and then your Falcons kill them and bring them back to you. Kinda like replacing a shotgun with a bird. And the low and behold, you showcase your shotgun and actually kill a bird on video (great shootin' tex!). Lol kindof funny. So yeah is that how it works with the falcon though? Dog + Falcon = Lunch? So who brings back the prey then, is it the dog or is it the falcon? I would like to know as I'm a majour bugout survival prepper. I think you live in a perfect area for survival. Waaaaaaaay out of the beaten path. I'm assuming the road you walk on is basically your driveway. I'm going to be firing up my own RUclips channel of outdoor adventure of a sorts.
I love Fable btw. I have had several extremely lucid dreams of being a Ravens friend. I don't believe in animal ownership. It's more of a relationship. We love them and they love us. Win!
Anyway, I would really like to see how exactly hunting works in the falconry world. You've talked a alot about training them and keeping them, especially fable etc. I would really like to see some other aspects of all this. You have a wall of leatherworking tools, I am also a leatherworker and have some beautiful maroon tanned leather.
A suggestion for you to put on your store, and it's something I'm going to start doing, is taking some pictures of your birds and some beautiful settings and scenes around your area, and printing them up on a 20x30 (inch) price of poster paper. You could roll up the poster and ship them off in tubes. I bet you dollars to donuts you would sell those like crazy. People can frame them when they get them home. You could probably sell them for $50 - $200 each, depending. Original, signed posters of your birds etc. Well good luck. And yeah, some videos of your leatherworking would be really cool too. See you in the next video!!
