Thank you, what a super interesting video stuffed with adorable content. Much respect to you, not just for what you do, but for carrying your child while you do it!
Really enjoyed this video, Amy. Watching working dogs doing what they do best is always a treat, they have an exuberance like no other and your team are really showing that!
Although we eat animals, we are ambivalent about hunting, especially 'sport' hunting because what is so often the canned, relatively indescriminate destruction of animals should not be a recreational pastime. BUT, we do support your skilled, ethical and selective hunting and your commitment to your animals. So thank you for your amazing insights on this channel. I hope it helps people understand the vast difference between turning up to someone's estate and blowing away anything that moves and, well, this. Love your dogs and wish our poodle was less of a prey-seeker lol.
I'm interested in all the tools you use for falconry, whether that's your animal partners or knives to cut leather straps! You have a clear and easy to understand teaching style that is a pleasure to listen to. Puppies are an added bonus!
RUclips originally suggested your videos to me, I think, because of Fable. Animal communication and intelligence have been of constant interest to me, and I'd looked at lots of videos related to that. But I've been so happy to watch whatever content you've explored because of your clear, detailed explanations of topics I know little about, and your humane care for all the animals. The amazing beauty of where you are on the planet helps, too. And who doesn't love puppies, especially piles of them!
Enjoyed your video such information and understanding. You are blessed with the opportunity to live in such a beautiful country. As young as you are you are a inspiration to everyone and what we see you are a great mother.
I loved every bit of the video! What an amazing area and hunting pack you have over there! 😍 And all the young ones get to grow up with this. I could watch this for hours. I can't even imagine all the time and scedules you must have to raise, train, hunt and take care of all the birds, dogs AND your own little baby. Impressive !!
This is a wonderful video! It was very cool to see how the dogs are used in falconry and what their breeds and specialties are! The puppies were an adorable bonus!
This was fantastic. Wish I could be there with you. Your interests and knowledge are exemplary and baby is experiencing the best of you and nature. More please! 💙
Amy, After watching the raptor fair video I did what you suggested and located a facility here in Northern California that offers introductory falconry classes. My daughter and I made the drive to Marysville and had a wonderful experience! Thank you for the idea and your great channel. Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge.
Hi ya Amy. Thank you for editing together such a wonderful and informative video. I loved it. Would really like to see more dog related vids, especially if you keep some of those pups, to show us all how you train them up. HNY to you all. X
Loved this video!! Grew up in California but lived in TN for 20 years before coming back to be with parents , I love your land and miss ours We had 2 acres in TN and lots of gorgeous hiking but to be able to live off the land and see how you do so many wonderful family and nature things is a dream of mine. I love the vast openness. Lovely. You don't get that here in San Diego. Not complaining as everywhere has its beauty..I love my beaches but want to retire back to where my neighbors aren't seen. 😁🤣🤣🤣
Just loved this Amy, thank you for your prep and attention to detail for us all to enjoy. Actually quite moving to watch. Your personality is exhibited in your animals, they just love serving you, brilliant, quite a teacher xx
It was so lovely such happy and mentally stimulated dogs! They all looked so happy and in their comfort zone. Thank you, I loved this as much as your falconry and your Fable videos, because they are All so happy and well taken care of.
Howdy from Sacramento! That's a nice double you shot there! I had a GSP for a number of years - great dog. We've been watching you for years and always appreciate your vids. Cheers!
Another wonderful and educational video, Amy! It was wonderful to see some of the dogs and learn more about them as well. Would love to see more videos in the future about the dogs in action and more of their training. Happy 2023 to all of you and to Fable, too!
Your young one is looking good! Glad to see you guys get out and about! I am REALLY jealous though! You have a beautiful "back yard"! Wonderful open fields in the rolling hillsides! WOW FANTASTIC! Thank you for sharing!
You are right, dogs love to work with their owners. & When they know their job it's a joy for them & a joy to watch. Dogs are amazing. I'm in California & we had a little sheep farm. We found border collies to be diligent shepherds. English Collies are herders as well, & they love to be baby sitters.
Here in Southern California we have areas that look like that in the winter when we have good rain. it doesnt happen every year and It only stays green for a few weeks but dang its beautiful.
Your birds are so incredible and intelligent but I adore seeing your dogs too! It is incredible just how much history there is in this video. It is very cool to see such long standard practices of the past in the modern era and carrying your son on your shoulders while you're doing it!
Loved it! I was raised with GS pointers! I thought about you over the weekend. My wife and family went to Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee to see the Eagles. We saw several Bal Eagles, red tailed Hawks, and small Falcons. God bless you and yours. -John
Amy, Amy, so glad to see your new footage. Love looking at the working pups and the landscape is just breathtaking. Alfie is growing so much. Thought of you earlier the summer when bird flu hit out part of Canada, hope it’s dying down in your area of the world. Cheers!
What an interesting lifestyle. Dogs, birds and humans working together to hunt. I grew up in a farming hunting community. Birds were not part of the hunting. I was not cut out to live this lifestyle. I became a psychiatrist (MD). One must have coordination skills but alas, such was not my gift. Solving mysteries, understanding medical issues I did quite well early on so I went to medical school to get the credentials to do what I do naturally. I love division of labor. TY for this view into your life.
Wow what an incredibly busy life..Hunting dogs, puppies, birds of prey..wife and motherhood. Certainly not, long walks out in the rolling hills...Not sure how you manage. Love learning all about Falconry etc. Your vlogs are wonderful. Can't wait for more. :)
Good morning Amy, so lovely to see you and the lad out for a walk with the dogs. i loved what you had to say about the italian spinone, a breed i didn't know about. thanks for sharing.
Silly RUclips never notified me of this video, so l only just found it, but l really enjoyed it. You have such a lovely family, both animal and human, and I am in awe of how you manage to keep on top of so many things! I hope you get some chill time at the end of your busy day. Love to you all.
Amy, I’m sorry I’m so very late to this video! Thanks for the great footage…ppl know I’d rather watch a working dog, especially “on point” than almost anything else! Hope all is well with Alfie, God Bless! ✨🤩👍😁
What an interesting "other" side of falconry. You are quite busy what with your son, dogs, puppies and the various birds. I'm sure there are stressful elements to what you do but on the whole, what a blissful lifestyle. Looking forward to more content from your gorgeous channel.
What bliss, Amy! To be hiking in the Scottish highlands with your pack of glorious dogs. Love your Spinone. You’re as much a dog person as you are a falconer.
Boop Boop ! I hope 2023 will be a great year for you & your family, of course including all the birds & dogs. Be sure & give my regards to Fable ! Boop Boop !
What a cool video! I love learning about the other things you do, and all while parenting a little one. Those dogs are something else! How great to see them doing what they were born to do.
Honestly, I could have watched an hour of your dogs! They are so happy! And those puppies... oh my WORD. I would love to be on the bottom of that puppy pile. 😀 xoxo
Awesome video, so cool to see you all work as a multi species team. I would love to see more about the process of training the dogs (and young puppies) around the falconry birds, as well as how you coordinate them while hunting. Thanks for sharing!
What a wonderful video!! I've never heard of the Italian spinone before, but they are such gorgeous dogs! And that video of (I think) Brynn interacting with the puppies-- SO SWEET! I would be very interested to see more dog content in the future if you're interested in making it :) Thank you for always providing such great and informative videos
I loved it... so interesting to see the dogs at work and your successful shot. Great description of the different breeds. Also wonderful was just tromping around with you in beautiful hills and terrain, walking and talking with kiddo on your back. Where are you in the Scotland? It's just so beautiful there..... great hiking grounds and wonderful vistas.
Great dogs! It does occur to me that you and James have a very great number of beings to look after.. You must be super organised there. This video really shows the beauty of setting you have there. Nice one! 🌟👍
Well they look to be very Happy Dogs Amy, so you must be doing something right...... How on earth do you cope with all those Puppies......They are bundles of energy... And so cute..... Take care and have a Great 2023..... :-)) xxx
Great vid. Many years ago, we had 2 of the brown speckled German shorthaired pointers when I was about 10yo(49 yeas ago). They were brilliant dogs, so smart and had a great temperament. Id forgotten I used to go hunting with my brother until I watched this. Thanks for memory flashes I got, and big hellos and 'boop boops' to you, bub and hub lol. Perth West Aust. xox
my dad and I hunt grouse and woodcock with English Setters and I can attest that they much prefer hunting season and will absolutely run themselves ragged during hunting season and will go nuts anytime the hunting closet gets opened
Love all the dogs Amy & that was a very interesting video! I was just wondering how much trouble you have with ticks & fleas in that area of the country? Happy New Year & hope that all of you are doing well! 💖💖👍👍🐶🐶

I've had the joy of knowing someone who owned a few spinones and they are such lovely dogs! Excellent video
Great video and very interesting. Brin looks like the cool uncle 💛🤍
I used have jack Russell’s and Border Terriers for rabbits with a ferret , and Lurchers for lamping also to catch rabbit and hare on the lamp.
