God I love my species so much. Thousands of years ago some dude saw a falcon and was like “hey do you want to be my friend?” And the falcon was like “sure, why not” and it just never stopped from there.
Thoroughly enjoyed your Falonry Hunting. The bond you have with your Female Peregrine Falcon is obvious. The first two puddle ducks she took down. One was a Hen Wood Duck the second a Drake Northern Shoveler. The third and your bag limit. What species was that one ? It was great watching your Peregrine work. 💪👃✨
Glad to see this. Great Education for all hunters. I've lost count how many times a bird hunter has tired to shoot one of my falconry birds because it was "chasing his game birds". Share the hunt folks!
So are Falcons allowed to hunt pheasants in the falconry sport? "Yes i know what wild birds do but in this situation, you're putting them on the game YOU CHOOSE". Falcons dont differentiate male from female birds like we do and as far as i know, it isnt lawful for hunters to take hen pheasants no matter what the bag limit is.
Its called incidental take while praticing falconry while not our goal its unavoidable you leave the carcas where it lies after your bird has fead, that and some states do let falconers take a limited number of femail animals as prey. Also rember that there are about 2000 falconers in the USA we cant make a big diffrence in prey populations using natural predators.
Beautiful!
You guys got it together what a great show of sportsmanship being a falconer🇺🇸 God bless America

Experienced falconers will let you know that there is absolutely no "friend" involved.
Love this
Do you get any duck for yourself? You said you only get 3 per day and the falcons each ate one? What would be it's motivating to hunt after it ate

Hunters/2A advocates can so often be our own worst enemies by the examples some set.

Glorious.
Proud to be a Bronze donor to DU!
Where was this hunt taped?
Curious as to what the blind is for?
Do you sell the ducks to the Chinese restaurant.
😋
How much is the purchase price?
They said in the video they trap and train a wild bird, especially if it is their first.
I'm assuming falconers can only hunt 3 ducks to the shotgun hunters 6 because the falcons never miss
