Absolutely love all the waterfowl episodes. Duck Camp Dinners, Ducklore, Timber Tour. They're far and wide my favorite in the Meat Eater collection. Chef JP is a fantastic addition to the team. Thanks for cranking out great duck hunting content!
I've been to Lousianna and Gulf Port mississipee and Southern Florida several times while working in water treatment. Some of the Best Food I have ever eaten in my life hands down! I really miss those times, but at the time I hated it because of the heat, but looking back those were some of the best times of my life.
For all its cons and vices, THIS is what true Louisiana (particularly southern Louisiana) is all about! I'll admit to cringing whenever you used the word "crayfish" and when you tried to pronounce "pirogues", but i loved your genuine enjoyment and appreciation for our beautiful, unique culture. Well done, Steve. That is my Louisiana that i know and love so dearly. Only thing missing was a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium aka "Death Valley". GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Not sure if that was done on purpose or not, but, that duck Steve was picking, talking about feathered head or wing for transport, he called a Drake Gadwall. It was not. A beautiful Drake Widgeon it was! That was around 12:15.
I hunt some ducks down here in Texas on my little property and when I first started I used to breast my ducks but I atleast got the legs too. Now I do the whole thing like these guys are doing but it is a little more work for sure. It is such a unique experience to see these ducks in the wild and im sure a whole other level there in Louisiana. Awesome stuff 👌
Living in California for my entire life I’ve been a fan of Steve and the meat eater crew for awhile now and I want nothing more to live this life feels so far away though. I hope I can get here one day
Brother I live In northern cali and while it may not be Louisiana swamps you can do damn fine hunting and fishing here. Lot of great waterfowl hunting to be done here.
Steve I know it took you awhile to get down here. But trust me we love watching you kill elk out west, or ducks in Louisiana. Thank you for spending time in Louisiana.
I've never been a Duck hunter (unless you count throwing rocks at them as a kid) but I love all things Meat Eater - and I watched this episode from start to finish. I'd love to have tried that Crawfish boil, and that slow cooked duck dish.
Bums me out when I see dogs that get babied into uselessness. Dogs love a good day’s work, that good girl isn’t just a dog that’s a hunting partner and good worker.
As always great episode I don’t waterfowl hunt but here in Oregon the people who do tell me there’s no better place upland hunting is my thing and I can definitely tell you there’s no better place maybe some day you can come to gods country thanks again Steve
People don't realize south Louisiana Duck hunters work hard for their ducks. Getting set up with pirogues filled with camo of the road is 'work'. All for the love of duck hunting. Even if you have a family camp in the marsh it's still challenging.
Glad to see y'all down south! ^^ As soon as I get my courses done and my licenses ready to go, I'm heading out with my bow as soon as the season starts! I've been aspiring to be a hunter since I was little and I'm hoping this year is the year I finally get out there! :) Y'all stay cool if you ever come back down this way, we're boiling down here at this point after that month-long drought lol
There's no better hunting show. This show truly shows what hunting is all about. Go out and do a little suffering to harvest an animal and then share that animal with friends while telling stories and trying new recipes. No way id rather live
I've never been hunting, Rinella make's me want to try it so bad. Love from Australia, we've got feral pigs and deer down here I'd love to try for 1 day.
9:00 I’ve caught a few live ducks and released them, had one try to rescue his friend I had in my arms at the moment, it was about a month ago. But boy do their wings leave a mark
My man, Steve, was in my stomping grounds. As a duck lover/raiser/eater/hunter, I do what I can. I raise mallards and let them fly off when ready. Just north of Pontchartrain on my tiny farm. Only one Male Mallard has ever earned my protection. He loved to be held.
Need to come out to Califorina some of the best waterfowl hunting in the nation, and I'm not just talking about hunting the rice. I definitely think it would be better to hunt the public refudges we have in states, and we have a very wide selection of waterfowl to hunt from .
I get a close up look at ducks with high power binoculars while birdwatching; no need to shoot them to get a close up look. They are beautiful animals with a huge variety of plumage, and I enjoy watching them in their natural habitat, especially wood ducks. I have no problem with hunting them, but have never been around anyone who is interested in hunting them with me. So I stick to deer hunting. I have caught a few wounded ducks over the years while trotline fishing that hunters were too lazy or too unaware to go retrieve.
As a bird hunter, I genuinely appreciate when Rinella posts waterfowl episodes.
I completely agree
No one cares what you think
JP bourgeois arguably rivals Steve for entertaining tv… I love duck camp dinners so much
Same. I wish they would do more fishing as well though
You and me both pal.
Meat eater episodes are truly unmatched. There isn’t any other series that captures the entire hunting experience better.
Yes. We've needed it too. Most other hunting videos were not authentic, or not relatable.
Most definitely
i'd say a close 2nd would be mullet man
There are other hunting series?
That black lab deserves a raise
No doubt!

We need more!!
Who else can’t wait for hunting season to begin?? 💥💥💥
I don’t want to wait
When does the season start in U.S or CAN? In Finland it starts at 20th of August.
Can’t wait but at the same time don’t feel like I’m ready yet.
September Goose opens in 15 days in Oregon! Good luck everyone!
Shit id just like to be able to shop on the meat eater store lol.
Louisiana is a special place. I've been all over the southern part of the state and the people are as good or better there as anywhere I've ever been.
That hard working dog is a joy to watch.
as primarily a waterfowler glad you post these. Also That pup busted his ass in that mud for you guys
Duck hunting, Cajun food and good friends. My Holy Trinity. Great episode
I've been to Lousianna and Gulf Port mississipee and Southern Florida several times while working in water treatment. Some of the Best Food I have ever eaten in my life hands down!
I really miss those times, but at the time I hated it because of the heat, but looking back those were some of the best times of my life.
Watching from the Philippines! My friends and I absolutely loves this show. We missed you sir Steve!
Proud to say Ronnie is my family and friend. He’s truly great people
So how do you spell "rouxtee"? Trying to find a written recipe online. Also how do I find all those french pronunciations of the duck species?
I’ve never been duck hunting. But this year it is on the calendar. I can’t wait.
It gets exciting. Well, it can get exciting for Illinois.

GEAUX TIGERS!!!
50th state to hunt in! Dude where you been? This is called sportsman’s paradise!
The best episode yet, Steve and Jean Paul are the dream team! Keep 'em coming! 🇬🇧
Not sure if that was done on purpose or not, but, that duck Steve was picking, talking about feathered head or wing for transport, he called a Drake Gadwall. It was not. A beautiful Drake Widgeon it was! That was around 12:15.

Moose and ducks. They only episodes rinella needs to put out to keep me happy
That mud struggle is real, I've never seen a dog struggle like that on a retrieve.
It’s 88 degrees outside right now at 11 pm. Seeing people in jackets has me pretty jealous
I would love to have that weather every day. I can't wait to live somewhere where I never have to experience winter again.
All those gizzards and hearts make for a good gravy!! Also, Louisiana is called "Sportsmans Paridise" for a reason.
This was a great, easy-going, mouthwatering episode!.... Good Job. I'm loving this new series. Great people, great hunting, great food!.
Quite a treat to have SR and JPB in the same video 😉👍
Need more JP content, keep the duck hunts coming!
MeatEater did a whole series called Duck Camp Dinners. They’re on RUclips and feature JP and his Louisiana buddies
Best show ever. For real. Love you Steve
Believe it or not northern California is one of the best places in the country for waterfowl hunting! Go check out the Black Butte Lake.
lol hilarious you mentioned that. Im 10 minutes away. Our refuges out here been great the last few years too.@@WillE454
If you live in Socal, Wister Unit by the Salton Sea is almost exactly like their hunts in this vid.
@Will97675 if I understand correctly, CA is where hunters come to get their Teal Trifecta.
"Should be illegal to throw away a gizzard" AMEN, BROTHER!!!
you know it's tough walking when even the dog is struggling in the mud!!
“And these are my people.” I get it.
Lol, end of the river. As a Minnesotan I love that, you should see how mighty the Mississippi is at its start
Steve I know it took you awhile to get down here. But trust me we love watching you kill elk out west, or ducks in Louisiana. Thank you for spending time in Louisiana.
Need more JP content, keep the duck hunts coming!. I love this show more than any other show in the world..
The calls and the shot was awesome lol
This was a great, easy-going, mouthwatering episode!.... Good Job
Chef JPB is a great addition to the channel. He's awesome and funny too.
Chicken Gizzards is one of my favorite foods on the planet. I need to try duck gizzards.
I'm loving this new series. Great people, great hunting, great food!
We are littered with those swamp chickens (galanule) or however its spelt .... never knew they ate so well gona have to try it
Man, these videos make me miss fishing and hunting trips.
I've never been a Duck hunter (unless you count throwing rocks at them as a kid) but I love all things Meat Eater - and I watched this episode from start to finish. I'd love to have tried that Crawfish boil, and that slow cooked duck dish.
That’s one hardworking little lady. I hope she gets spoiled at home after all that hard work! Good work Pup!
Such a good dog.
Isn't she great! Wonderful lady.
Looks like she gets lots of gizzard. God bless a good hunting dog
and you can also tell she likes it
she feels part of the team which is very important for a dog
Bums me out when I see dogs that get babied into uselessness. Dogs love a good day’s work, that good girl isn’t just a dog that’s a hunting partner and good worker.

Those Cajun boys are awesome!
I love Bud. He was on the podcast and he’s hilarious and a great guest
Such a good episode
Like the dog fetching
Fresh pair of eyes will find more beans.
the man confirms that the sack of crayfish is about 40lbs by comparing it to a beaver....what a wild mindset haha 21:48

“That duck took some LEAD”
-Game and Fish has entered the chat.

Fully feathered head… Steve: that’s a drake gadwall (while Steve is holding a wigeon) 😂😂
Man this channel is like a warm blanket.
There's no better hunting show. This show truly shows what hunting is all about. Go out and do a little suffering to harvest an animal and then share that animal with friends while telling stories and trying new recipes. No way id rather live
Love the little cacklers!
Man, I miss Steve's shows!! He needs to do a new season!!
It hasn’t even been a year since this season aired. Relax. 😂
Can't get enough of this content great stuff!!
Great video
I'm gonna start duck hunting this season. Pretty excited to get into it and begin harvesting my own meat.
That dog work is amazing. Dam hard work. Leaving for Saskatchewan from so. Wi. Ocktober 8th.
Dats a "pee rogue" Steve! Welcome to the Sportsman's Paradise
Good will hunting my trip I want to go to Louisiana especially the bayous and catching ducks, crawfishes, and fishes
Yes new session
Anyone else think Steve should do an episode with the Robertson family
Absolutely love this video I miss living in Louisiana
Great duck dog! Thanks for sharing!
Chocolate peanut butter shake mud is why i now mostly deer hunt lol
Lol Louisiana native here. The little boat is called a "pee row"
Having listened to the podcast I was hoping they'd show the second knuckle method of measuring for cooking the rice...
I've never been hunting, Rinella make's me want to try it so bad. Love from Australia, we've got feral pigs and deer down here I'd love to try for 1 day.

new intro colddddddd😮💨😮💨
I love Louisiana!!
Love it, what a great episode.
Making me jealous. Ready to go get some squirrels and doves this weeeknd
Ronnie has some awesome tips on cleaning up a nice Bird👍💥.
Your Pup is driven, mud or not😊!
Yumo Crawdads 🎉.
JO JO IN VT 💞

Need to come out to Califorina
some of the best waterfowl hunting in the nation, and I'm not just talking about hunting the rice. I definitely think it would be better to hunt the public refudges we have in states, and we have a very wide selection of waterfowl to hunt from .
That dawg do hunt!
What up my boy booooojwaaaa!
Man I wanna try some Cajun cuisine after watching this!

Can anyone tell me what the rear facing undermount light on JPB's shotgun is for? Seemed to be green sometimes and blue others.
“Pee-rawg” bruh. 😂
Great work on those cats.
Hard Working Lab !
Drake Gadwall? Missed that by a mile...haha
Peerow!!!
