Man, Steve Rinella is such a class act. The way he tries to put Jordan at ease by telling her that he is having a great time regardless of whether or not he shoots a deer is just a first class move. He knew she was nervous and did his best to calm her nerves. It's not everyday Steve Rinella comes to your house looking for you to take him on a guided hunt. Way to go Jordan!
That girl is a certified corn watching, supersonic hearing, deer killing, and fantastic hunter. It's great to see you guys doing some corn glassing! Loved this video. Well done to everyone involved.
Watching this was surreal to me. I am a young lady named Jordan whos #1 passion is hunting and live in Montana. I am very down to business when it comes to hunting and soft spoken around strangers and Jordan reminded me so much of myself it was unreal, I would love to hunt with her one day! So hard to find other lady friends that passionate about hunting that dont treat hunts like a photo shoot. If I wasnt so bent on mule deer over whitetail I would totally book a hunt with her!
You are the perfect woman! Good luck this season and I wish you all the love and happiness that life can bring. Never give up and always follow your dreams. I hope you have a beautiful day sweetheart.
l liked her.... calm and knows what shes doing.... and the love for hunting shines thru.... wod like to see her out of her element on a diff. hunt. please make it happen.
what a great video, thanks Jordan, Steve & Clay, yall make a great team. fyi as a 60+ yr old fella, I just started deer hunting 3 yrs ago with my nephew. I really enjoy this show. keep it up, and stay safe. fred
I've been waiting for this episode since the first time I watched MeatEater! Out of all the places I've been in the US the Sandhills is my favorite place. Its unique and breath taken. Steve has just made my year. Please come back! Ok im watching it again! Thank again!
I started hunting with my dad a year before he passed, but unfortunately haven't gotten my first deer yet. These videos though show how it's part of the entire experience, and I don't regret even those days where all you see is one or two small does or just a ton of squirrels running around, and I love ever minute of it.
Sorry to hear about your dad. I hunt with my dad every year and the days where we don’t get anything are always a bummer but I know that when I’m older I’ll be glad I spent those days in the outdoors with him. I hope you are able to get your first deer soon if you haven’t already!
What a great episode. It would be great to see Steve bring Jordan to Alaska or Montana for very different game in very different terrain. This sandhill stretch in the middle of the US is such a beautiful, but almost frighteningly peaceful landscape. Visibility extending for miles, but winds (lots of wind) and animals moving quickly. Very little human civilization in these areas.
The positive outlook from everyone, along with the truest sense of the hunt which is just to be out there doing it (as Steve said), made this hunting experience truly beautiful.
Great episode, the reality of a hunting season that has its ups and downs in a very natural setting. Jordan has a great attitude and solid hunting sense. I loved this whole thing!
Matt is just jealous of Steve. And wants to be a gate keeper to hunting. He doesn't like how people like Steve and Randy Newberg bring more people into hunting. He tries to come up with all these excuses of why he doesn't agree with Steve but in reality he's just jealous and selfish
Welcome to Nebraska, MeatEater Crew!! Great episode. The sandhills are amazing. Clay, that was an amazing buck, congrats. Steven and Jordan, your hunt ended last year just like mine did here in Eastern Nebraska as I saw plenty of bucks but they were all just out of reach. That's hunting for you, though. Steven, I'm sure you'll be back as your not a quiter by any means and hunting the rut during Nebraska's firearm season can be for sure a tough week in November.
Got my itch going watching this hunt. First bow hunt of the season next weekend for me. Opened two weeks ago but life doesn’t care about my hunting addiction. Now I’m gonna got practice a bit in the back yard.
I love it when they release a video and it's Steve narrating. And some of the other MeatEater staple folks as well. But I'm not a fan of some of the newer videos that are released where there's no introduction, no agenda listed and its just some guys in the woods hunting. I love the intro and the back story and why they're hunting where they are. While I do like the variety of hunting different things and fishing all over, I wish they would stick to the same kind of format of "Who is doing what and where and then finish it off with the harvest and cooking of said animal (assuming something is harvested).
Always glad to see the Ladies into hunting. It’s gotta make hunting purchases and vacation negotiations easier😊. There were no pretty hunters like Jordan when I was growin up.
That was an awesome hunt And that's exactly what it was it's not always about taking an animal And I think Jordan did an incredible job And she worked her sweet little tail off ! You have to take her hunting somewhere Steve And show her something she's not experienced Congratulations guys
There is no better way to spend the day doing a deep dive and watching all of these videos with dinner on the task for later in the day. I'm sure "Meateater" is going to show me a great recipe idea I will find after watching all these videos.😅
I was born a corn fed midwestern (Iowa) boy, whose now lived in Texas for 30 years. I really miss those big bodied whitetail. And talk about a dream girl! Cute AND loves the outdoors!!
Hunting and Fishing are imo the only sports that have no discrimination regarding race or gender if your good your good if your not someone is always willing to help you get better I LOVE HUNTING AND FISHING!!! And Meateater is not to bad either!!
😂 this triggered some strange nostalgic PTSD mix for me... I grew up in the panhandle and this was just like I remember... the rolling hills, the oceans of corn and beats... and nothing else for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles.... I had to drive 2 hours to get to a damn Walmart😂. God I miss it and dont miss it
That buck was hot....and moving. I bet he traveled that far..no doubt. That doe bleat...got him excited he came running right at Clay. No doubt he was speed racer
The lunar phase for us on the west coast is real. When its a full moon, bucks come out! Not sure is they feel more secure with more light when its cooler outside or what but i have hunted 20k acres for 7 consecutive years and I know that blacktail deer are affected. I will see the same does in relatively the same spots every evening, but full moon I will bet the house I see bucks.
Let me just say, I've watched a bunch of Steve Rinella's vids and he is a really great story teller, and has the perfect voice to convey his adventures! He is national Geographic quality, they should hire him to do their Wildlife and Natural History Vids, trust me, I know my shit ;-)
was wondering what caliber you're using i love my Weatherby vanguard sporter 30-06 i just got i have only shot it enough to sight in the scope and can't wait to hunt with it has a great light Triger
I’ve lived in Nebraska for 9 yrs now and there are some good deer here. My experience is land owners like hunters taking whitetail out of the population and saving the mile deer. I’ve been told that whitetail are aggressive and run the mule deer off as one of the reasons. The second reason I’ve heard is that whitetail are more adaptable to the disease(brain worm, blue tongue) in western nebraska and bring that into mule deer territory and the mule deer die off. In my area the whitetail hang on the north Platte river and Mule deer out in the rolling countryside. Land owners are more accepting to let bow hunters in to chase whitetail out in the countryside but no way you get on the river without shucking out some coin. Then rifle opener it’s best to stay inside while the orange army does their thing.

No doubt you’ll have Jordan on a future episode hunting somewhere new to her, and Steve will be anxious and stressed trying to get her an animal
"What exactly is the problem" Steve Rinella..
my buddy comes up for elk every year . I get more stressed trying to get him an animal than getting myself one
especially if it is a moose
You’ll be hard pressed to find a “new to her” animal. She’s no joke
Yup
Steves a good dude. That young lady is about to book up solid for seasons to come.
She knows what she's doing I hope she fills out. Go girl. You've got the hunting spirit.
I think Jordan needs to be on here more. Or her own show. Down to earth and just loved how she was. Great episode. Thanks for the great episode guys!
Y'all just keep finding amazing people to add to the group.
Right! Blows my mind. Meat Eater family is ever growing!
Birds of a feather!
Says something about outdoorsmen and women in general.
“we don’t sell a deer, we sell the experience” killed me. Tell him, Jordan 😂
That girl is a certified corn watching, supersonic hearing, deer killing, and fantastic hunter. It's great to see you guys doing some corn glassing!
Loved this video. Well done to everyone involved.
Steve is a class act. One of my favorite people on the planet.
Thanks for being a great guy.

You must be in Eastern Montana
Central montana, why?@@VIi726
You are the perfect woman! Good luck this season and I wish you all the love and happiness that life can bring. Never give up and always follow your dreams.
I hope you have a beautiful day sweetheart.
West Kootenai Montana is awesome for giant mulies. Grew up out in northwest Mt.
I love it how clay was beside himself the whole episode for actually getting a deer😂😂😂
l liked her.... calm and knows what shes doing.... and the love for hunting shines thru.... wod like to see her out of her element on a diff. hunt. please make it happen.
Grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska, and love to see my home state getting some of the recognition it deserves.
Best drive in the nation is hwy 2 during the spring.
@@tomcooper927 you are absolutely right. Maybe we should not be talking about it and keep the secret
what a great video, thanks Jordan, Steve & Clay, yall make a great team. fyi as a 60+ yr old fella, I just started deer hunting 3 yrs ago with my nephew. I really enjoy this show. keep it up, and stay safe. fred

The Sandhills are the most beautiful prarie landscape I've seen. Great Native American history in those dunes.
I started hunting with my dad a year before he passed, but unfortunately haven't gotten my first deer yet. Hunting whitetails and elk. That's my passion. I hope everyone everyone has a great season.
Not desperate to shoot a deer for a video. Love this video. Appreciate the truth. This is most hunting trips. Loved the content. Love you brother.
This episode is fantastic and we love you Jordan

This is just one of these great episodes!
What a funny and talented young lady, as always brother another great episode of meat eater
Great episode, the reality of a hunting season that has its ups and downs in a very natural setting. Jordan has a great attitude and solid hunting sense. I loved this whole thing!
Matt Rinella gonna love this one. $$ for hunting lands no one else can.
I agree with most of his values but also some of them are a little unrealistic
Matt is just jealous of Steve. And wants to be a gate keeper to hunting. He doesn't like how people like Steve and Randy Newberg bring more people into hunting. He tries to come up with all these excuses of why he doesn't agree with Steve but in reality he's just jealous and selfish
Run it back! Jordan’s awesome and seems like a great person to be around!!!!
Jordan and Clay are my two favorite MeatEater cast members. Add Janis and you got a dream team.
Love this and her being part of the Meateater gang! Love to see other women gettin after it!
Welcome to Nebraska, MeatEater Crew!! Great episode. The sandhills are amazing. Clay, that was an amazing buck, congrats. One of the best episodes! Jordan was a trooper and Steve you were a great mentor to her!
Got my itch going watching this hunt. First bow hunt of the season next weekend for me. Opened two weeks ago but life doesn’t care about my hunting addiction. Now I’m gonna got practice a bit in the back yard.
Jordan still makes off with every First Lite item in their lineup. Win for her!
All about the experience and adventure!! Great episode!👍🏻👍🏻
Another amazing episode!

Oh and Steve there are some great mule deer also. Food for thought.
That lady has no idea how blessed she is. That's a heck of a life to be able to live!
Such great attitudes all around. The type of people you want to be around. Especially when things don't go as planned.
Love Jordan's voice ! She's great!
Glad to see Steve back in action!
The Newcomb family has been the best addition to the meat eater family yet!
The true essence of hunting. Its not about taking the animal down everytime, its about being there, experiencing nature the way it should be !! 😊
Always glad to see the Ladies into hunting.
It’s gotta make hunting purchases and vacation negotiations easier😊.
There were no pretty hunters like Jordan when I was growin up.
Clays always so humble
That was an awesome hunt
And that's exactly what it was it's not always about taking an animal And I think Jordan did an incredible job
And she worked her sweet little tail off ! You have to take her hunting somewhere Steve And show her something she's not experienced Congratulations guys
Watch your mouth. She's a professional.
“Sweet little tail” is a really weird thing to say. She’s a grown woman.
There is no better way to spend the day doing a deep dive and watching all of these videos with dinner on the task for later in the day. I'm sure "Meateater" is going to show me a great recipe idea I will find after watching all these videos.😅
Jordan is an absolute sweetheart
I was born a corn fed midwestern (Iowa) boy, whose now lived in Texas for 30 years. I really miss those big bodied whitetail. And talk about a dream girl! Cute AND loves the outdoors!!

Im 44 years old and i look up to Steve Rinella.
When Jordan said " we don't sell the deer, we sell the experience," that's what it's all about. Jordan has a great future!!!!
Great view on the hunt…..its how hunting is….if we got a deer everytime we went out…it wouldnt be very fun…or many deer left. Great episode as always.
Love Clay talking about ‘grind shaming’ when almost half of Steve’s cooking specials contain some kinda grind shaming.😂
I have no problems at all tagging out day 1.
Great job!
Never let disappointment get all over everything! Well said! 😮
Yep, shes a keeper. Good hunts guys
Always gotta be careful of the cactus out in the Sandhills!
Already seen this but it was still great the 2nd time
What a great guy, just 10/10 as a human being...least on camera that's how he seems, thanks again for great entertainment
Very cool hunt!
Great episode ! !
😂 this triggered some strange nostalgic PTSD mix for me... Can you please bring clay on every hunt you ever do!
I think Steve will be back. His natural frustration will win.

Let me just say, I've watched a bunch of Steve Rinella's vids and he is a really great story teller, and has the perfect voice to convey his adventures! He is national Geographic quality, they should hire him to do their Wildlife and Natural History Vids, trust me, I know my shit ;-)
“Behind the Glass” good name for a hunting title.

Let’s go
