Hi, i'm wondering if you can help me . i'm using EZCAD2 and i need to drill 28 micrometers deep and not sure if it's supposed to be 0.28 or 0.028 . in the drill mode there is something says ms. not sure if it's stand for micrometers or millimeters
That is not the type of drilling you are thinking about. From what I can tell when you are doing an image it pauses the laser for ms (Milliseconds) to get a deeper engrave on an image. It has a drilling effect when you are engraving something. I never use it because it never gives me the results I like. 28 micrometer is .028mm (millimeter)
Hey, whenever I import the vector file into ezcad and hatch it, it doesn't recognize the filling properly, on most parts it draws the line over the whole logo
When I go to remove the fill after selecting my image, the fill option is just a question mark, help would be appreciated thank you, great video has helped me a lot
Hello. Is there any chanse you could guide me some with my logo? I have it vectoreized in AI file, but it wont fill the black. How do i make så the vectors know wich area to fill? Thanks!
Hi thank you for sharing with me on the above tutorial. I have a question every time I save my file in AI and send it to my laser there is always a box around my work, I have tried to hide edge in adobe illustrator hide bonding box and nothing works. can you give me some info in where I'm going wrong. Thank you for your help Regards Adrian
Hi, I would like to know is there anything similar for inkscape I have a 3D printer/laser that uses gcode Or maybe is there an option to generate a gcode with ezcad which marlin would accept Thanx
Hi I just want to say a massive thank you for your videos, I have watched so many and yours are the only ones that have guided me in the right direction. I do have a few questions I’d that’s ok? 1. I’m trying to engrave hand and fingerprints and so far like I said your video is the only thing that has got me even close to what I am trying to achieve. However when I hatch the fingerprint in ezcad it seems to go to thicker in the dark places where it should still be more white. Should I be editing that in AI? Even though it looks perfect in AI or are my hatch setting wrong? Thanks
Your video is amazing! Very useful. Thank you very much. What if you want to laser in jpeg? How to set? Could you make the video for laser the JPEG file as well?
Sorry I did not get back to you. Did you figure it out? Is the part flat? Try changing the hatch pattern , do some testing with basic shapes to see if it is a power supply problem
Anyone know how to record the prefect circle? I use the circle tool but when I record it I don't have any prefect. I need urgent help, since I spent a lot of money on my machine and I still haven't been able to use it. :(
If you do a large square is it square? There are setting in the options>laser setting to adjust the shape of a square. If you can't make a square, square then you can't make a circle
ezcad is such a lousy program for importing anything. Not a single SVG (or any other type) has imported correctly. Can't even use the laser my company purchased for doing customer images because no image will import without problems. Letters get broken up and to may things have to be fixed and then nothing hatches in a usable way. It would be nice if I could just search for perfect images off the internet but in reality, in a business setting, you get the file you get and have to work with that. You tell the customer you need an SVG. They send an SVG and it's unusable. Then what?
Just what I'm looking for...best tutorial I seen...
Thanks. I was really frustrated with this software until I found this video.

If you email me what you have I can look at it and see what's going on. Then I can probably explain it.
Email the logo to aji549@gmail.com I will look at it

Thanks for your video,it helps much to a fresh man of laser engraving.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1000000 Thumbs up!
Set layout option on the top left to "automation", if you want it to look like his. Helped me alot
Hello,
Why is it when i save my image and upload it to ezcade to it leaves a border
you probably did not tick "Ignore white" when you traced it. You can ungroup it and delete the boarder.
What mean line space at ezcad
for picture like this, can you directly import bitmap file and engrave with it? What is the point of converting it to vector?
The laser software needs Closed vectors to fill with a hatch pattern.
This was awesome, thank you!

You have to reverse the tone. Black is high power and white is no power.
When I open my vector file in EZCAD2 i get random lines around and thru my image, any ideas why?
I have the same problem, did you figure out why and how to fix it?
No still trying to figure it out.
Maybe ask your questions in Ezcad forum: facebook.com/groups/368089227540080/

My laser loses it power half way thru the picture, it still lasers, but it goes from dark to light whats the problem
