after filming my 1st wedding i highly recommend buying the xh1 or waiting for the eventual xh2 that will one day probably be made. I did use a xt2 on a gimbal, and while it worked, it was rough. Had to quickly unscrew it from the gimbal to change batteries and then try to quickly put it back on the gimbal. Didn't have time one time and just said screw it and put my 18-55 lens on instead for the ois. And while it worked would have preferred my other lenses on a gimbal. The xh1's IBIS being a lot better than a lens with ois would have made that part of the day a lot easier and less stressful. And overall will be useful with my low light photography too.
Here's hoping a xh2 (xh1 + xt3 features or better) come in 2020 or early 2021!
Thanks for your comments and feedback.
Nice to see you in Montréal! Cheers!
Do yu use any type of sharpness?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to create that filmic flat look used in your grade, may I know how you did it?
Excellent video review.Good boy.
Thank you for the comment !
billy use manual focus or auto focus when handheld
So cool and helpful!
Thank you for the comment Alya!
Hello Fuji Guys Channel
Hi !!
I was hoping for a how-to-shoot with xh1 video with all the gear needed for independent filmmaking. That would have made more sense since xh1 is the Fuji's flagship video camera. Lot of them are on the fence whether to buy xh1 for professional filmmaking. Your efforts can make them choose xh1 for filmmaking with out any apprehensions. I would request you to put out content that is shot using xh1 targeting filmmakers and the accessories needed and different/creative settings to explore in the camera to squeeze out maximum performance out of xh1 for filmmaking. Right now there seems to be lot of issues/confusion with the performance/settings and how to use xh1 for filmmaking in general. Please help us understand and overcome some of the issues. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.
Maruthi VARA PRASAD totally agree. Pls, an XH1 version of this video. Thank u
Yes, I too am looking for a reliable "how-to" video on setting up the XH1 camera for shooting video.
Video is nice on the X-T20 but artifically limiting the recording time even for FullHD to approx. 15 mins is a bummer. Especially as in all my tests the camera showed no overheating issue recording up to even more than 30 mins.
I hope Fujifilm will raise this artifical limit at least for FullHD. I did not test 4k but it gets not often used by me because of the 10 mins limit and that is even too short for my style of VLogs.
And apros pros vlogging. Would be really cool if Fujifilm could add the software from the X-H1 to light up the front led (focus assist lamp) to indicate something is recording.
Not all owners are interested in video.
It is of zero interest to me.
Robert Cudlipp good for you but that doesn't mean that Leszek Lesner's opinion is irrelevant.
I'd seldom need to shoot 15 min straight through. More like 10- to 15-second clips which I can shoot without having to worry about video file size limitations. In any case, the X-T20 doesn't just stop recording after 15 minutes, rather it closes the file and starts another one. So a jump cut, big deal.
Can you color grade in iMovie?
I use the XH1 as my main camera and the XA5 for my running around camera
Which zhiyun crane did u use for the combination for XH1+XF16-55mm? I think its too hard to balance it properly bcause of the weight.
To record this video we used the X-T2 with the XF18-55mmF2.8-4 lens, which is lighter than the XF16-55mmF2.8.
i can use my 16-55 on my xt2 with a zhiyun crane v2. In my opinion this is the best crane to buy currently for fuji users especially when its on sale, b/c the bigger/better cranes main benefit is they added more weight capacity which fuji doesn't need. Like the crane 2 added 10% more smooth and a LED screen. Is that worth several hundred more dollars? Only you can answer that. I would not need the crane 2 weight capacity for anything unless i wanted the camera grip too with the 16-55 for the extra batteries.
The other good option for fuji is to just use the 18-55 with the zhiyun crane M. After firmware updates it can hold a 18-55 and you have a super light weight and extremely cheap gimbal money wise.
The 3rd and final one to consider is rumor is the ronin S may eventually bring fuji support. If it does this would be huge. Only time will tell. But no i haven't tested the newer stuff like weebil labs etc.
thanks for this, i was actually thinking of changing my camera as I thought this camera is crap. I just need to explore on the settings though :)
Hi,
glad we could help !
Late to the party, but great video guys! Just starting out shooting video on an xt3!
Thanks. We appreciate your support.
Great video fuji guys, I would like to know if you have suggestions for xe3 small rig setup? I can't seem to find one over the internet. Hope to hear from you guys. Thank you so much :-)
Thanks for the great information
I did a short video I want to share on messenger but the movie is too large - how do I cut out scenes?
To edit a video you would need computer software and there are many choices and price ranges.
@@fujiguys Which computer software? Your answer was not helpful! Is there a reason you could not have recommended a software package.
I can't view my video on VLC player which plays every movie ever made except Fuji film. I now need to find another software programme just to view my family movie. Will the software programme allow me to share my family movie?
We normally will not suggest one program over another. Francis uses Adobe Premier for his editing work, but there are many other options.
AAaaa such a great video, full of great information! I love my Fuji XT2, great camera. Fuji Guys, please would you share the type of the basic gimbal that you use?...Thank you very much :)
Thanks for the feedback. The gimbal we used for this video was the Zhyuin Crane (original model). However, since this video was made a number of gimbals are now available.
Fujifilm cameras need to have smooth auto ISO in video. Please, make it happen !
Nicolas Lamborelle exactly ! You can't run and gun without it.
Hi, maybe this is out from your video. I really need help. I’m using fujifilm x-a5 and can’t record more than 15 second, suddenly stop recording, do you know what happen with my camera?
It's possible that the memory card you are using is not fast enough and the camera's buffer is filling up. If you are recording video with the X-A5, the minimum card 'speed' is UHS-I, U3 or faster.
Can you guys share your settings for the X-H1 in recording video, please? You have one of the few rare videos on RUclips that is actually high quality (not muddy) when maximized on a 4K monitor). Can you also share what program this was edited on and export settings, please? Thanks
The video settings (Classic Chrome, S -2, H -2) are shown on the screen. These settings were used on all of the recording cameras for this video. For the X-H1 segments we used 200 Mbps.
ruclips.net/video/EpuI4IBFevE/видео.html
We used Adobe Premiere with the preset to RUclips 4K, Maximum depth, High10.
Hello! What objects did you use (lenses)? Thank you
We used an X-H1 camera with XF16-55mmF2.8 and MKX18-55mmT2.9 lenses.
great vid! whats the gimbal called at 1:51?? please :)
The gimbal the guys use is a Zhiyun-Tech Crane.
@@fujiguys thank you!
xt3 with that last setup (mk 18-55 mm is the goal)
What specific gimbal is that? I'm looking into purchasing one.
The gimbal the guys used is the Zhiyun-Tech Crane.
Hey guys love this video, I’m having trouble with my fujifilm XT2 . I’m shooting video and quality is amazing but I can figure out the autofocus ! I’m trying to film comedy style videos with it and it always focuses and keeps unfocusing and refocusing on different objects ! I just want it so it focuses on everything that’s in front of the camera ! Any tips 😊
HI Charlotte. The X-T2 does have a couple of AF options when in movie mode. Depending on the length of the clip, you might be better to change the Movie AF Mode to area, and then you can assign the area for the camera to concentrate on focus. Alternately, put the camera to Manual Focus, and then use the touch screen to change focus between your "A" point and "B" point.
Okay , that’s great advice thank you !!! 😊
Hey guys put a link to where you can get the Kimball and holder.
John. The rig was supplied by Small Rig. You can check the header of this video for their website.
The gimbal used was a Zhiyun-tech Crane. www.zhiyun-tech.com/en
Please put the whole rig configuration and where to buy it! Great video, guys!
I've bought all my rig stuff from Smallrig, they have great customer support and unbeatable prices (but very good quality).
Nice concise video, thanks
Hey guys I have had my X-T20 for a couple months and now I'm looking to purchase a new lens. However, I'm having trouble finding the best lens to shoot video with. What lens do you guys recommend?
Great question. We like the speed of focus of the XF23MMF2.0 and XF35MMF2.0. Balances nicely on the camera too when using a gimbal.
what about settings for auto focus in video?
I just got xt20
Thank you for this video.
Thanks for watching.
Great Video!! But, which is this Gimbal?
We don't endorse any specific brand or model, as there are many powered 3-axis gimbals available. However, the gimbal mentioned and used in this video was a Zhiyun-tech Crane.
I have a Fujifilm s9600 and when I shoot distant objects the photos aren't crisp and sharp. Please help
Hi. There are a couple of things that quickly come to mind...
Make sure you hold the camera as steady as you can when shooting telephoto. Even using a tripod can make a difference. When shooting far off scenery the air can affect the image. Not much you can do about that, other than take your photos when the air is cleaner.Hope that helps.
@@fujiguys thanks guys and godbless
what kind of external monitor were you using? Curious... Also were you recording internally or externally.
That's Feelworld 7 monitor, 200usd range. This is not an external recorder. And it looks like they did not actually switch it on :)
Which gimbal did you use ?
A Zhiyun-Tech Crane was the gimbal we used. However, there are many gimbals on the market that would produce similar results.
I have a Fugi 14x. How do I video record?
Sorry, but we do not recognize that model number. Please confirm the exact model number of the Fujifilm camera you have. (Found in the same area as the serial number).
Nice one guys!!!
Very helpful Thank you.
Thank-you for watching, and your support.
What are the two lenses you used in the video?
The boys were using the XF18-55F2.8-4 and the MK-X18-55mmT2.9.
Where can I get some of that cool Fuji apparel?
FUJIFILM branded Shirts, Jackets and other accessories are available for purchase online. Item availability is dependent of country.

Fuji Guys Channel Thanks! You guys are awesome.
what was the gibles name
bublebuble2004 please let me know if you find out
There are many powered 3-axis gimbals to choose from on the market. Please check with your local stores on which models are available in your area.
They used zhiyun crane gimbal here
Guys, WHY CANT I ADD A EXTERNAL MONITOR TO MY XT1?? It doesn't let me record video with a field monitor!!I dont have the cash to buy an Xt2 or an H1. And really dont need the new gear right now. I just want to be able to use a field monitor and record. Why Fuji, why? I already tried to contact about this same request. Do you guys have any incite.
The hardware of the X-T1 (released in 2014) does not have the capability of external HDMI output while in the “capture” mode.
Never ever use the in camera preamps, they cannot cope or produce pro audio. Use a small field recorder and plug the mic into that and then sync up the audio in post. I would recommend a tascam recorder and plug in pro mics, the tascam will take care of phantom power
Send me that gimble ..wana use with my fuji x.t20 😍😍😍
Thank you, good review. :)
its a nice video and was really cool to see the fuji cinema lenses in action, but let's be real if you're shooting video on a xt20 or xt2/xh1 etc you're probably going to use the 18-55, or 16-55 lens for video. Not a $4,000 cinema lens.
The X-T2, X-T3 and X-H1 provide the quality one needs even for production need. These lenses provide the performance to match! Not for everyone, but great tools!
@@fujiguys right my point was if you're using a xt2 you're probably not using a cinema lens for video, you're probably using a 18-55, a 16-55 on a tripod, or a 23 1.4 or 16 on a gimbal. B/c that's what you can afford.
lol. i just need to know which button to push. too much info
Silly, I thought he said the gimbal was inexpensive.........:(
The NX1 is still the Tesla of all cameras (with the hack even better). Period. Goodbye.
But how to use video..on camera.. this is NO TUTORIAL..BLAA
