  • A demonstration on how to use the AG0600 with its new custom bottle which has a Luer Lock Tip. This video also included a full step by step procedure on how to fletch Aerovane II on an arrow in less than 40 seconds.
    Following materials are used in this video;
    1) Aerovane(s)
    2) Arrow shaft(s)
    3) Aerovane Jig and Clamp
    4) Aerovane Glue AG0600
    5) 100% pure Acetone (available at WallMart cosmetic section)
    6) Q-tip that does not contain plastic or synthetic materials
    7) a 100 ML Nalgene flat bottom flask with cap (filled with acetone) for wetting Q-tip
    8) a 500 ML Nalgene flat bottom flash with cap (filled with acetone) for arrow dipping/cleaning
    9) paper towel
    Procedure
    1) Thoroughly clean the surface of the shaft(s) by dipping the shaft(s) into a 500ML bottle of 100% pure acetone.
    2) Swirl the shaft inside the 500ML bottle for a few time to loosen all particles and dissolve all possible contaminate on the shaft(s).
    3) Wipe dry with clean paper towel.
    4) Let air dry then surface of the shaft(s) is ready for fletching.
    5) Insert the Aerovane in a vane clamp.
    6) Dip one end of the Q-Tip into the 100ML bottle acetone and wipe down the base of the vane from one end to the other.
    7) Take the dry end of the Q-Tip and wipe dry the vane with the same direction as above
    8) Apply a small bead of glue down the length of the vane base. Should envision the vane base as 3 tracks and the bead should be 1/3 the width of the entire vane base width.
    9) Place the bottle of glue top down on the cut soda bottle so the air will not roll back into the stainless needle and allow the glue to dry and clocked the needle in the process.
    10) Place the back end of the clamp against the inner wall of the jig just above the arrow.
    11) Slowly lower the clamp until the magnets grab hold of the clamp.
    12) Firmly push the clamp all the way to the arrow, and wait the allotted time depending on the type of glue you are using. (Firenock Aerovane Glue setting time is 11-15 seconds).
    13) Open the clamp to free the vane form the clamp and rotate the vane away from the clamp while the clamp is still on the magnet.
    14) With the vane away, slide the clamp away from the jig and away from the magnet at no less than 45 degree from the magnet.
    15) Wait a few seconds to allow the clamp to dry.
    16) Repeat step 5 - 15 for the next vane.

This glue works wonders…. Very strong but you can’t use wraps

I have used those needle tips before. The glue dries up inside, rendering it useless. Thats why they sell the 12 pack of tips for another 10 bucks.

You can use a low temperature flame to burn out the glue that blog the tip. But that can be done only a few times.

I have a second bottle that I feel with acetone , after I fletch I squirt acetone through the tip which clears out the glue so I can reuse it

Does the tip have to be changed after fletching just a few arrows at once or can it be reusable??

Only if you wash it out with acetone or use a tiny needle to clear it before storage 😊
