Thanks for vid big dog. I've been runnin the bitz with a 4 fletch but just ordered one of these baddies for big helical. this tutorial is just what I needed.
yo!!! Thanks a lot man. I really appreciate that. I was still pretty new to filming and editing in that video lol wish I did a few things different, but I still liked the outcome. Thanks again and stay in touch!
@@rexrice4496 Thank you. I appreciate that. I am actually happy to see this video is still getting some views. I was literally brand new at self filming when I made this video too haha. But again, thank you. Have a great season too!
Yeah its one set helical unfortunately. There are other models with less of helical as well. Since then... I use the bitz most the time. Thanks for the comment too!
@ I still use both jigs… when I do builds for a few local guys and some friends, a few want different offsets and helicals. But both jigs work awesome.
Unfortunately you can’t with the E-Z fletch. It’s got a strong helical, which I like. I forgot the degree it’s at. It’s already preset/built into jig. It really helps to control those Broadhead’s in my opinion
Hmm that's too bad. I'm looking to build my next target arrows. I don't plan on shooting broadheads. Would you recommend the bits jig instead for that purpose?
@@Foreverbowhunting Due to price and availability I ended up getting the E-Z fletch and it worked well :) Got some sick arrows now, but due to wild fires the last shipment of the steel tips has been delayed :(
Is there any cost benefits to fetching your own arrows (not including equipment/tool costs)? I imagine it's more so like reloading to fine tune/customize your stuff rather then save money.
Yeah that’s why I pretty much do it. Also because most shops will not square and align everything properly. It may or may not save you money, but you get that satisfaction knowing you built them exactly how you wanted.
@@Foreverbowhunting yup, thanks for the quick reply! I'm just getting into bows and picked up a bowtech carbon zion dlx. I'll likely get into making my own at some point but for now pre-made will do the trick.
R HELICAL AZ easy fletch, is an excellent tool. I use a qtip on the closed EZ Fletch, right between each vain jig and it takes any excess glue spreading it along the edge of the vain and makes for an awesome super durable bond.
Building your own arrows is addictive, im constantly buying and Building new arrows for tac, 3d and hunting and play with all different components, vanes, wraps and vane configurations. The primer pen breaks down the max vane compound and allows the glue to penetrait the the molecules, it only last for a short period of time, so if someone were to prime all 36 vanes before doing 12 arrows only the first 3-6 vanes would adhere properly. Good video.
If you put tiny drops…..6-7 per vane…then you won’t have to waste all that excess that you wiped with the qtip. 6-7 drops and smooth out with tip of glue bottle. If you use AAE primer pen …….best glue is Loctite Ultra Gel Control!

That was a great tip where you put a tiny drop of glue on both ends of the vanes. Thank you. I'm going to do this on all my bolts/arrows.

Nice clean and to the point video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks man. Really appreciate that
Does this jig work with TAC vanes? That base is much thinner than the AAE’s. Curious if it would just pull through 🤔
Yes it does. ive used those vanes in that jig.
Awesome! Thanks man!
Is that jig pre helical or is it adjustable?

Thanks for the video amd pro tips!
Thank you. I really appreciate that a lot!
Great video thank you.
No problem and thanks a lot. Really appreciate it!
Can you index the nock for cock up or cock out?
Yessir
Did you get a right or left helical? Do you think it matters? Also is just the mini max version of that jig? Thanks
I use a tight helical. I don’t believe it matters unless your a target shooter. And yeah both versions of the e-z fletch work great
Dude, they see you coming.
Thanks
Can you set the pitch of the helical?

Yeah I would go with the bits for sure

Wow I didn’t even think of that lol thanks man. Appreciate the comment
what do you clean the dried glue off the jig with, oh wait
I soak it on a bowl of acetone. works well

I agree. And thank you for the. comment
Will it work on wood arrows and feather vane’s?
Honestly I am not sure. I have never tried.
Thats a pretty cool tool to have in the arsenal
Definitely! It’s a great jig
Hi where can I purchase that easy fletch unit, need one none in Australia
eBay, Amazon probably would be your best bet.
it can use 4inch fletcher?
yes you can. sorry about the late response

Yeah since the video I have noticed that. Yeah that loctite works great. Thank you for the comment
Too much glue, be more efficient at application and it’s way less messy. You say a little but apply it by the gobs.
I never had any issues with the amount I use. And I’ve done tons of builds. But thank you for the feedback
Nope. Gave up on this jig years and years ago.
Yeah. It’s definitely not for everyone. I still prefer the bitz.
