Westport was pretty decent for me yesterday. Caught and lost 2 lingcods, one broke off as I was reaching for it on the rocks and the other slipped out of my hands and into a deep crack between 2 boulders. Caught countless kelp greenlings ranging from small to large, a few black rockfish with the biggest being around 2.5 lbs. It was frustrating to lose the lings but all in all, it was a productive day lol.
While I've tried fishing the gamut of rockfish lures, a simple high low rig with about 3/4oz to 1 oz of lead and 4 inch gulp minnows always produce fish consistantly.
