- If you prefer reading, here is my jetty fishing introduction: bashilure.com/jetty
My setup:
1. 9ft6 ML fishing rod : amzn.to/3pydPYH
2. 3000 spinning reel: amzn.to/3Tb9tEn
3. 40lb main line, 15lb lead line, 1/2oz egg sink
4. 1/8oz shad dart link: www.ebay.com/itm/374069352855
5. Swimbait link: www.ebay.com/itm/374809825531 and www.ebay.com/itm/374809817028
Landed more than 20 black rockfish, kept 7 bigger ones and released all smaller ones.
West coast jetty fishing opens at the second half of Mar in Washington State through Oct. Rockfish and lingcod become active when the water warms up. In Washington state, you can get black rockfish (Sea bass) and lingcod at Westport jetty, Ocean Shores jetty and Cape disappointment jetty. Jetty fishing can be very productive, but it's dangerous at the same time, be sure you have a pair of good shoes which can hold the ground. - Спорт

Thanks my friend. It's load of fun.
Thanks for the tips! I cant wait to go give the jetty a try.
Aug is the right time to hit jetty!
Nice man! Was just there a couple weeks ago. And love that spot! Fish on!
Thanks my friend.😀
went there yesterday and learned alot from your videos, being from central WA it was extremely helpful to know the ways of the saltwater. that jetty is a rough walk but worth it!
I am glad it worked for you. I went through those learning curves myself, very happy that my videos can really help people. Thanks for your support too!
They're getting FATTER!!!! Great job Bashi! I hope to see you out there one day!
Thanks my friend, look forward to meeting you over there
Wow bro....video is nice....Nice work bro!!!

Thank you for a great videos, I subscribed and bought some of your stuff on ebay this morning.
Thanks for your support, your package will be shipped out in next few hours
Thank you, I appreciate it. 🙏
Wow 5 seconds bashi nice one
Thanks Michael
Growing up in Victoria BC caught these fish. A lot of, from shore plus other types of Rock Fish , we use to get Pile Worms from under near by docks Great bait
That's great memory! I grew up far away from ocean, just started salt water fishing 10 years ago after moving to WA. I will try to find some pile worm next time, thanks my friend.
Lingcod season is coming up soon, can't wait to go to Westport for lings and rockfish!
It’s tomorrow, wish the wind can be not this crazy
Nice🎉
Thanks!
Thank you Bashi! I used your advice and I caught 6 in maybe an hour and a half. I threw back 3 and made fish tacos! I use the same setup in this video. I like your baits. Thank you
Thanks my friend, I am glad it worked for you, took me a few years to figure out this setup for jetty fishing 😁
@@BashiWAFishing thank you. These are the first fish I have caught in WA so I’m glad I didn’t get skunked because I didn’t wanna be discouraged
I like your device bro!
Thanks for you support brother
Great video. I always appreciate your enthusiasm!! It’s been too long since I’ve gone fishing. Are you at the Westport jetty?
Thanks my friend, yes it's westport

Damn 👀 Rockfish JEDI
Thanks
I went Barview jetty this morning around 8:30(10/23/23).
Your lesson for setup and technique really helpful.
I use same weight egg sinker and shed dot with bakery small swim bait.
I caught 6 sea bass in 50min. I released one small one because limit is 5 in Oregon.
Thank you so much!!!
It was really fun day.
Now I love fishing at Jetty so much!!!
Hopefully I can do squid fishing with you if it possible.😊
That's awesome, I am happy it worked for you. Squid fishing season just started around Seattle
@@BashiWAFishing Thanks Bashi. Would you share which pier would be good at this time end of October or early November in Seattle area? Because I have to drive up 3 hours and stay couple days there so I wish I can catch some.
And when tide is starting or getting strong should I change egg sinker weight to certain oz or shad dot? Or should I change to bait fishing?
Thank you for advise in advance
@@brandnewday6822 Squid it's hard to tell, ping me when you are ready to come over, I am watching the squid fishing report daily, will share my observation with you. Right now, seems it's good at Des Monies; For your second question, it depends, if the surf height passed 5ft, I will switch to heavier egg sinker, you can always use 1/8oz shad dart.
@@BashiWAFishing thank you. I will be there for squid maybe 2weeks later.
@@brandnewday6822 Ping me before you coming over.
Bought some more water green swim bait, it works great last week. 有机会一起去钓鱼,跟您学习!
Thanks for your support, I tested all my lure before listing them on my store
Your videos are exciting every time I watch them.
Recognize your fishing skills.
Isn't it dangerous there?
How far is it from the parking lot?
Thanks man! On a sunny day, it's fine, but you need a pair of good shoes. About 30 minutes for me.
@@BashiWAFishing Thanks
Awsome thanks for the tips! How do you keep the fish you keep? On ice in a cooler bag? Bucket?
Yes, ice in cooler bag
@@BashiWAFishing awesome thank you!
I bought your shad darts, swimbait, and curly tail jigs. They all look great! I got a couple questions.
1. Do you let the 1/2 oz egg weight be free on the mainline?
2. I know you tie the shad darts on a loop knot so they swim free. Do you do the same thing with the curly tail jigs or do you tie them normally?
Thank you :D
Thanks for your support. 1. Yes, free on the mainline. 2. It's harder for the curly tail jig, I just tie them normally
@@BashiWAFishing Thank you a lot. I will continue to support. I appreciate the reply a lot and you have helped my significantly. I would love to one day see a video of you showing the neah bay jetty. There is almost no footage of it currently!
Actually I am just 1 hour away from that jetty right now. But won't have time to fish there this trip, will try next trip.
@@BashiWAFishing I went fishing at the jetty a couple days ago for the first time. I caught a black rockfish and a big greenling. Probably would have had better luck if I had started fishing much earlier in the day but my girlfriend didn't want to wake up lol. Conditions were bad all day after the early morning. Something crazy happened. My girlfriend found a pink 1/3 oz swimbait that you sell, the same exact one I was using. It was diffidently not ours, it had a completely different weight on it. Anyways I did want to ask, in what situation do you use swimbait vs paddle bait? Is one consistently better than the other or do they have different purposes? Also do you take the treble hook off the swimbait when you fish the jetty? I noticed in one of your videos you didn't have it on but they come with a treble.
@@ChaseKayzer The paddle fish will attract smaller fish better. Start from Aug, I prefer the 1/3oz swimbait for the bigger rockfish. The treble hook need to be removed for salt water fishing. The treble hook is useful if you do fresh water bass fishing. Wish you can catch more next time, early in the morning.
Nice catch! How far out on the jetty?
About 3/4
Nice catch, and How good is it half way out on the jetty?
Depends, I always suggest people pass the horn
Do you ever fish the surf side of the Jetty?
Yes, for surf perch, I made a video in my channel
Looks like you're using 2 3/4 " paddle tail and 1/2 oz sinker...my set up might be to big..what are your thoughts?
Now it's not a good time for too big bait
@@BashiWAFishing When is big bait time? Are you talking about 4-6"?
@@loganc7724 4" is fine, but 6" is too big for rockfish on the jetty
Which tide do you prefer to fish the jetty?
Slack tide
how far do you usually go down that jetty? past the horn (well it use to be there)?
Yes, I always pass the horn
@@BashiWAFishing thank you for the reply! I appreciate the education and community info you provide.
@@Diuable Appreciate your support my friend
is there any reason I couldn't fish a kokanee pole for this? (15lb test)
How long is your pole?
Good fishing’s man !where is the address?
Email me
I was there on Thursday....got nothing. Not sure what i'm doing wrong? Same type of setup...3/4 oz sinker and about a 4" paddle tail lure. I fished from 3pm -6:30pm. I might be retrieving slower than what you do..any tips?
You might want to try my bait. 4" is too big for this time of the year.
@@BashiWAFishing You're right....will look into it. I do have some smaller ones 2 3/4 - 3"....should of use that . I also think my retrieve might be a bit faster than yours...so I will slow it down just a little. Let's meet up sometime in August and fish. Do you go out with a whole crew/family?
@@BashiWAFishing I'm going to order soon....I'm glad we're in the same state. Can you get it to me by Thursday? LOL I want to go fish.
@@loganc7724 It will be shipped out tomorrow morning, you should be able to get it by Thursday, but you can never tell USPS...
@@loganc7724 Usually just by myself
And do you ever catch lingcod
Sometimes, you can find video in my channel
How far do you walk the jetty?
Usually pass the horn
Are you not lettering it drop like you reel jig drop reel kid drop or are you keeping it kinda high
Close to the bottom
@@BashiWAFishing but you r reeling pretty fast do you have a heavily weight
@@BashiWAFishingat float twenty do you remember the shop the burned down like two months ago behind the on those finger jetties what do you recommend , will it be a calm day tomorrow because I don’t the app
Hi. What is the limit for this Black Rockfish? Thanks
It's 7 at marine area 2
@@BashiWAFishingThank you
What time do u fish
Slack tide
the horn in the background makes it difficult to make it thru the video unfortunately D; as well as the last one that had the horn
That's the fog horn, which can be heard at one mile away
@bashiwafish I always fish Cape Disapointment. I am going to try Westport. Where do you park and how many minutes do you have walk to good fishing. Do fish facing south or north?
@@jamesbussell2976 It's in a state park, plenty of parking spots, I usually walk about 30 minutes. Facing north.
@@BashiWAFishing thank you Bash. Maybe I'll see you there, for a slack tide soon.
@@jamesbussell2976 See you there :)
