Looks like fun times. I use the same Carolina rig here in Northern Calif. Try using Daiwa SP minnow or the Lucky Craft CIF flash minnow 110. Big perch love em as well as striped bass and halibut.
@@reelbluecustomrods, I always fish barbless for perch, rockfish, lingcod, cabezon, etc.. It's just so much faster and easier, and less damaging to the fish. I really don't feel I've lost fish by going barbless, as long as I keep tension on the line. Plus, if I hook myself, it doesn't require a trip to the hospital.
what is the current limit for red tailed surf perch in washington?... regulations are pretty much non existent. unless you can decipher the verbage of E-REGS.

Thank you and will do. I have a couple different 110 Minos, and am going to give them a try soon. Thanks again, and thank you for watching.
Hi! Wondering if it’s surfperch still open now thx in advance
Yes, it is open year round, but make sure you double check the regulations. Thanks for watching.
What size sinker are you using?
It was either a 3/4 or 1 oz egg sinker.
And thank you for watching Johnny.
I use a 2oz egg sinker just in case of casting fat
What's the fishing app you are using, looks like one I use here in New Zealand called tides for fishing, really good app...
Yes, that is it, and I love it. Thank you for watching.
Yet another reason to fish barbless.
Interesting fact for Washington State is that for some species of fish must be caught on barbless hooks - mostly salmon. Thank you for watching.
