    Such a cute blanket! I don’t think I’ve ever done this FPSC stitch nor have I ever used a hook this size with worsted yarn, but this stitch gives the blanket such a cute ribbing. And I love the drape! Your creations are beautiful 😍 🤩😍🤩

    I'm really confused as to the need for a chain 2 at the end of front post row since every row starts and stops with a single crochet the chain 2 leaves a big hole
    This blanket is gorgeous I just want to make sure I understand thank you

    • @sugarjoye
      @sugarjoye  Год назад +1

      Hi Kathleen! Chain 2 and skip the first post OR chain 1 and work the first post. Both of those options work. I did the first and I didn’t have a hole and my edges were nice and straight.
      If you’re getting a big hole my guess is you are chaining 2 and working the first post instead of skipping. Hope that helps! Cyndi :)

    Quick question. I am learning the foundation chains. So lol if I do a single crochet foundation chain. It would still be 70 chains. Right ? Thank you in advance 😊

    • @sugarjoye
      @sugarjoye  Год назад +1

      Yes! The chain count must be an even number! 🤓

    • @getbrowns
      @getbrowns Год назад +1

      Do you mean that you are working the first row as a foundation SC row where it's the chain and SC at the same time? If so, you would want an uneven number (69). The Berry Row begins and ends with a SC making it an odd number.

      @getbrowns Год назад +1

      @@sugarjoye I think she is doing a technique that I haven't taught you yet. She's not making a chain and beginning in the second chain from the hook making it an odd number of chains you are working in. She's making the first row of SC. xoxo

      Let me see if I got this right....... If I do a chain and then single crochet back I need to chain an even number... If I do a single crochet foundation row it needs to be an odd number???????? Yes or No

    • @KatherinePollard-audiodoc
      @KatherinePollard-audiodoc Год назад

      @@Whistlebritches1 yes, odd number! Foundation SC is my go to as well, in fact, even if the pattern doesn't call for the first row to be SC, I do it anyway and then add a SC at the other end. Sometimes it's tricky to reverse engineer a pattern with a "regular" beginning. I find that the FSC keeps me more even (otherwise I do a smaller hook for the chain in order to not have the dreaded spread. haha

    What is the multiple of this blanket

    • @JohnnyandJules
      @JohnnyandJules 5 месяцев назад

      It’s any even number. So if you chain 140, your stitch count will be 139 for the first row after the chain and throughout the pattern.
