    Very well done video Adam, Your film crew did an outstanding job keeping the little Tomcat in frame. Very pleased Jason sent you one and you got better performance out of it. Not entirely sure I want to pull the trigger on it at this time because there are other wonderful E-flite aircraft i desire to have in my hanger.

    Congratulations on your new affiliation with Horizon Hobby. It’s about time lol. This looks like a fun little model, but I personally would not view it as a hand tosser. For me half of the fun of flying any jet is taking off and landing. Hopefully they will come out with a larger version with working landing gear someday.

    One terrific video, Team AV8R! The Director of Photography deserves a medal for tracking that Cat and keeping it in the frame! Well done Heidi 🎥 Adam, can this F-14 be flown through the 3 wing positions and have SAFE sort out the trim, or does it need to be trimmed to fly well in the SAFE mode? I don't enjoy the 'programming' side of the hobby, as I'm a simple little soul, and this model seems triple the workload to get the absolute best from. This is a shame (for me) as we *love* the F-14. Congrats on the affiliation, too. That's a *massive* step up for your channel! HH will have you as a product development consultant soon...

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Год назад

      Thank you Miss Gina! Heidi did awesome! Gina it is a bit more effort to get it all sorted on this one. It actually needs to be trimmed and mechanically adjusted for SAFE to work at its best for a hand launch.

    G’day Adam, another classic info video. Many thanks for all the work you both go to in getting each presentation out.
    I have had very little success with hand launching & much prefer the excitement of take off & landing on wheels, but that is just me. I just ordered another Arrows Marlin from Amazon AU ($140 delivered) the Model you have is sooo expensive here @ around A$495 bnf. I do love the Eflite F15 Eagle & 64mm Viper. They are great to fly. Once again well done & do hope HH send more review aircraft to you.👍🦘🇦🇺

    Are the movable wings purely to facilitate slower/shorter landings and more rapid takeoff, like flying off of Aircraft Carriers? Great info about the model and nice aggressive flight, don't come after me with that when I'm flying my Maule!

    • @ModelAV8RChannel

    A couple of questions, do you have a little diagram we could use to replicate the hand launch tab? Also, as far as trimming, I don't have access to a runway, all my planes are hand launch aside from my Apprentice 1.2, big wheel mod. Can this plane be initially trimmed without the gear?

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Год назад

      I don't man, sorry. Pretty easy to measure though. You can trim it without the gear, but that first hand launch could be interesting if it isn't trimmed first. Might be worth traveling to a place with a runway.

    How many millimeters did you manually adjust the taileron above the panel line. The manual says 6mm. Ultimately what was yours set to?

    • @Zek1701

      I set mine to 3mm as she was diving.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Год назад +1

      Actually the manual addendum says 5mm. You start there, trim, manually adjust, and you end up where you end up. Each plane may trim different (the two I've flown did). Different weight batteries, different air frames/wing sets may make a difference. We ended up at 6mm on the left taileron and 7mm on the right one. Again though, that is our particular model...yours may be different. Regardless of where they end up, if you make the mechanical adjustments and get the trim to zero in the TX...yours will perform like ours.
