That’s a beautiful little Taurus . Great find .I have a 942 3 inch .22 magnum and the trigger is probably as heavy as you stated about yours . I’ve been having a hard time getting used to that heavy double action pull. I was not aware of the anchors ability to be used as snap caps , so thanks for that .
I had a 4" model 94 manufactured in 2008 or 2009. It would fire only 3 of 9 rounds, would have to second strike them a bunch of times to get them to go off. After dealing with misfires for a few hundred rounds, I found that CCI ammo was more reliable and would misfire only once in 9 rounds. So I fired about 500 rounds of CCI after figuring that out - and the transfer bar snapped off, gun locked up and that was that. I sent it back to Taurus, they replaced it with a stainless version as they had no blued ones left apparently. I fired about 500 rounds through the new one (which was more reliable), and again - the transfer bar snapped and fell out, gun locked up. I sent it back again, they did not fix, just replaced a second time. Upon receiving that one I traded it to a local gun store in without even firing it. I was too tired of going through that dumb process. I have had other centerfire Taurus revolvers with hit or miss reliability, and have had some of their semi-autos that seem to be fine. But the model 94 was my worst Taurus experience.
Hi Sam, yep I’ve heard a lot of horror stories when dealing with Taurus. Luckily (knock on wood) this one seems to be fine so far. Thanks for the comment! By the way I love your channel, long time subscriber of yours. 😎
Thanks for the reivew, but I will point out that it weighs the same as most micro 9mm as of 2023, I personally wouldn't be concerned with it's weight in regards to carrying it for whatever reason a perons has to carry it around. And I agree with you on the Double Action....insanely heavy!
I have a model 94 nine shot ultra-lite. It would not fire a full cylinder without locking up. Tried various ammo, but it made no difference. I tried placing a feeler gauge between the barrel crown, and the cylinder, but could not find a thin enough gauge to fit. I filed down the barrel crown until a .003 feeler gauge would fit snugly. I then fired 100 rounds through it in one trip to the range and had no issues at all. If you have issues with cylinder lockup, measure your barrel crown to cylinder distance. Then decide if you want to file it, or have a gunsmith check it out.
I've heard of that before on some of these Taurus .22s, so little cylinder gap that they lock up or after two cylinders they get too dirty to function. Thanks for watching!!
I want one too. There’s just something about that old school blued finish that I love.
thanks for watching!!

I love my Ruger LCR in 22lr. This seems like a pretty cool little revolver, too!
Thanks for watching!
I’ve got the model 94 4 inch barrel and it’s a very dependable handgun. Wouldn’t ever get rid of it.
thanks for watching!!
I’ve had mine for awhile, the only difference is that I put wooden grips on it, made it better for concealment
Yeah I've never been a huge fan of Taurus grips. Thanks for watching!!

I have one of these revolvers. Nice review. I agree with the horribly hard and uneven double action trigger pull. Not good.

I thought he was going to dry fire that gun for a second.. 😂
I cringe when dry firing a rimfire, even if manufacturer states its 'ok'.... Thanks for watching!!
