    I appreciate my NAA 22 short revolver! I carry it every day in a leather cross carry concealed holster on my belt when I walk with my wife on our daily treks along the lake and in the parks. It's reassuring to have in today's climate of insecurity for senior citizens. Actually the .22 short was originally developed in 1857 as a self defense caliber and pistol by Smith and Wesson

    i have one, fun little pistol to shoot. however mine always gives me a "snake bite" whenever the slide comes back on the meat of my hand, between the thumb and index finger.

    Citizen is an extremely reliable brand. I have their NY0040 and the "ashtray" caught my attention lately, although full of things i don't usually like (see how a well-designed watch does wonders!).

    Also great that you can do a safe cylinder rotation check after loading it by pulling back the hammer slightly rather than pulling the trigger back slightly with the DAO Centennial models. It also allows you to put your thumb on the top of the hammer as you holster it so you can feel it coming back if the trigger snags on something. Prefer the heavier steel frame 649 for IWB carry as it's easier to feel it as you walk so you are not constantly patting it to see if it's still there (not a good feeling to think it might have fallen out of its holster or been left in a gas station toilet), while it feels more robust, handles +P ammo better, has less recoil, is easier to shoot well, and makes a better impact weapon.

    • @HillbillyMusings
      @HillbillyMusings 12 дней назад

      Very good thoughts on the 649 being heavier, DEFINITELY know it's there easier and much much nicer at the range. Thanks for watching!!

    I had both the Mark 1 boot knife and the Mark II as a pair during my Army service in the 1970s thru 1988 when they were stolen from me. I managed to replace the Mark II in 1988 with the same model you have and I still have it today. It too has been well used but is still in good nick. I managed to find a Mark1 boot knife a few years ago and still have that as well. Great knives although I preferred the earlier models' leather sheaths.
