I’m glad someone finally pointed out how messed up it was for Phin to choose to attack a rally being held by Miles’ mom. That’s like trying to make Green Goblin seem like a friendly sympathetic character after dropping Gwen Stacy. Phin is way more evil that the game presents her.
Also the fact that the villain so predictable I’m sorry but I didn’t really care for phin she had reasons to do what she did yeah but like she became a terrorist like so fast so I didn’t really feel any sympathy for her
@@justheretostay5057 Forreal, the only time I cared for her was in her last few seconds of screen time, and that was just because of how the cinematography was in that scene.
Ok I’ll give a good example of a villain that you feel bad for darth Vader this man tried his hardest to save his wife and did anything and everything in his power to do that and at the end of day he failed and was a slave to the person who he asked to help him he lost his friends family and was now a slave to someone that put him in this situation to begin with
Phin's such a huge hypocrite being angry a miles for lying while being the tinkerer and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have told him, ever. For being such a huge supergenius she shits the bed pretty hard in the whole "thinking about it more than a second" department in general. Am i the only one that finds the explosion that the nuform truck created extremly laughable, when one cannister is suppost to power all of harlem for five hundred years?
Yeah, I wouldn't have minded if the truck only had a couple of canisters on it (and the idea that they would have produced literal truckloads is hard to swallow), but that's supposed to be enough to level half the East Coast, right?
Phins plan was absolutely doomed and ridiculous from the start. First of all I get that she wants to revenge her dead brother. However Miles told her time after time that she was going to blow up Harlem itself (the whole neighborhood). Plus Roxxon has alot of Insurance, they built tanks, weapons, and Rhinos new suit. So she would've failed either way.
I find it dumb that Kriger put all the nuform he had on one truck considering how hard its for him to get without Rick ya think he either only move a few at a time so the majority is safe at roxon or send out decoy patrols cause he has to know the underground is stealing it at this point
@@marrs999 Phin is just a wreck after rhino captures both her and miles she just blamed miles like he was with roxon wtf also she tries to kill him who is supposed to be her best friend just because miles stop her from killing rhino who had no involvement in her brothers death and only tried killing rhino cause he taunted her kind of stupid really i get she lost her last living family but come on she supposed to be a genius
You missed 1 sin. Why wouldn’t Phin think that Miles was Spider-Man (or at least that he knows Spider-Man and betrayed her) when she literally just brought him to their base at Fisk’s Tower.. and then he makes up an excuse to leave and Spider-Man just “somehow knows” exactly where they were based at a few minutes later.

That has always been a thing in comics. Character sees something bad, character excuses him/herself or disappears, superhero shows up and absolutely no one is able to put the connection or recognize the person's voice.
you did notice this game uses the same character roles from the first game. The friend who is the sympathetic villain and wants to overthrow the rich prick and is final boss- Finn/Otto Octavius The rich prick- Simon krieger/Norman Osborn A dangerous and powerful gang- the demons/the underground Corporate military who pretend to help but we all know we’re going to fight-sable/roxxon The tools built for good but were used for evil- Otto’s arms and devils breath/ nuform And of course the same sequel baiting
The Underground/Demon Roxxon/Sable part was kind of expected since this is an action game and you need goons to fight. It's why the DLC had the Maggia. I have no doubt the sequel will have some other huge and powerful gang we need to fight.
If ain’t broke don’t fix it lol. What else could they really do? The Spider-Man stories themselves might be all over the place from fighting god, to jumping dimensions. It’s almost already been done. I came for this games take on miles which I felt missed some parts about his character that makes him cool asf, but in the in end he’s just a black interpretation of Peter that is meant to pander to the black community which I’m a part of and trust me I like that Miles anyways I don’t care. This game was fun which is all that matters.
The whole "Act of terrorism" and "Fully insured" things are actually pointed out BY KREIGER in the middle of the last boss fight over the Roxxon PA system, which made me laugh mid-battle as Phin's plan was totally pointless.
I didn’t like Phin, she was stupid Miles: Kreiger Changed the properties of Nuform, it’s gonna blow up Harlem not just Roxxon Labs Phin: I won’t let you lie to me again, (Beats up Miles for no Reason) (Harlem starts to blow up) Phin: This isn’t supposed to happen, DUH BITCH!!! Because she genuinely believes it's the only way? She said in the last fight "leave i don't want to kill you"? She made a promise to her brother she wouldn't let roxxon kill innocent people and pervert his work? Do you people even pay attention to the story?
My biggest problem with JJ in this game is that Insomniac doesn't understand him as a character. He can be an asshole but he genuinely does want to help the city and especially in the raimi films it's shown that he isn't just a selfish piece of shit.
If this is a parody of CinemaSins that's where he gets his whole idea from then what did he do the same things that CinemaSins does? Because they do similar things in their videos
When Peter found out that Otto knew his identity, and still tried to kill him (plus endangering everything he ever cared about) he flipped and beat Otto so bad that he was left on the ground like the old lady from those old life alert commercials. My boy Miles found out that his best friend sent terrorists to blow up his mom’s rally, and is trying to destroy the people and places that he loved his whole life, and he still pulls his punches and lets her beat the dog shit out of him. That’s sad 😂
@@Thunder_Roy Yeah, the writers won’t give Miles any of that bite that Peter had, which sucks because I feel like Miles is a strong character who’d really benefit from moments like that. But they’re even afraid of letting Peter flip out most of the time, unless he’s wearing the black suit. They really toned down the no non-sense parts of the character, so now Peter and Miles just take shit from anyone with no clap backs. Prime 616 could never
It’s hilarious how truthful that comment really is because both Nintendo and Microsoft’s stocks are doing better than Sony’s because they allow uncensored Japanese video games on their platform, and they’re not fully woke like how Sony is.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr sad that you're using stocks as a point for Microsoft. They had to delay Halo Infinite bc of backlash and from what I've seen all they have as a launch title in terms of big names is CoD. PS5 has Spider-Man, CoD, Godfall, and a few others I can't remember at the moment
I'm surprised that you didn't sin Miles for taking so long to explain Krieger changed the reactor. It's like Miles waited until the last moment for maximum dramatic tension when he might've skipped the fight with the Prowler if Miles told him sooner.
I know it’s the comics fault, but if Miles has exclusive powers he should also have exclusive weaknesses or fundamental differences. Genius kid with even MORE spider powers is lazy
He doesn't invent tech on the fly to handle certain villians like peter does, he doesn't even make the webbing on his own. His Intelligence doesn't really transfer to his hero work that often
But his powers do have weaknesses. Venom power is extremely strong but can be damaging to his body if he takes in too much electricity. That and his camouflage is extremely temporary.
The original Miles Morales wasn't a genius level kid when he debuted. Things just kept on changing when they couldn't come up with ways to make him interesting with good stories. If you read the 2011 ultimate Spider-Man featuring Miles you'll actually like him. But I advise you to stop there.
I absolutely loved Miles Morales, but it was such a weird experience. There were so many moments where the story had plenty of material to flesh out and explore, but just didn't. Like Prowler unmasking himself within 20 seconds of making an appearance, using a fade-to-black time skip when Miles' mom discovers that her son is Spiderman so we don't see 95% of her reaction, and never showing how Miles and Genke came to be crime fighting partners. The game always felt rushed to get to the next bad guy beatdown.
Agreed, I know the game isn’t as long as the first one and was marketed as such, but it can be a bit longer in order to include important scenes like that
Since this story was made by INSOMNIAC, who nailed this game’s predecessor’s story, I’m a little worried about how Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is going to turn out
@@LegoCityFilms you're correct. They weren't major parts of the story. I guess what I'm saying is that its weird that they weren't. This was supposed to be Miles' big debut into a mainstream title that tells his story. And yet his narrative just brushes right past the Prowler's reveal, how he found his sidekick, and the reveal of his identity to his mother. Like that is Miles' story, but the game kept feeling like it was actively avoiding those plot points to rush you into another fight with goons.
Something that always irked me was when Miles gets Phin’s phone, then decides to absorb the energy to shut down the Nuform reactor. He didn’t have to do that. He could have just leaked the videos to the press, which would have caused a huge scandal. Roxxon’s Nuform reactors would have been shut down anyway.
Idk if its a sin, but can someone explain to me why, during the scene where you fix the electricity in your building, Miles has to go through the ONE window where his family and friends are? Why not just go back from where you came from, like idk, his ROOM?
Well, when all of the lights came back on people would’ve been able to see him a lot easier( if they didn’t already see him with the lights off) so he had to get back into the apartment as quick as possible.
Because the fuse box is outside his apartment so he’d have to go out through the front door initially to fix it. If he came from his room it would’ve been awkward because they thought he left the apartment
Have y'all ever lived in the cold? The second he opened that window they all would have looked over like "why is it suddenly cold af in here". Busted. Imo that part was kinda dumb
No sin for miles crawling through the living room window instead of back through his bedroom window while phin was first introduced and having dinner with his mom and ganke?
@@Bruh-hq1hx"Roxxon doesn't start a new Spider-Man witchhunt" Gamewise, they do. New crimes called "Roxxon harassment" pop up where they try to capture Spider-Man.
Here’s a pretty good sin: It’s established multiple times that Phin wants Miles to get out of her way, and that she doesn’t want to hurt Miles. But in the final boss fight, if you get too close to any of the open windows, an animation will play where Miles tries to leave out of the window, but Phin will pull him back in and then try to kill him again. I guess Rihno roasting the fuck out of her dead brother really pushed her over the edge
The biggest sin of this game is that they made Miles a genius just like Peter thus rendering him of anything that makes him unique like his Into the Spiderverse counter part, who was just very artistic and capable if he put his mind to it. Which worked because it made him stand out from being just a Peter Clone. If I were to make a difference between the two. I would’ve had Miles just make hand made suits, not tech based ones, and the hand made ones could function like the Amazing Spider-Man Games version. It gives Miles something unique to his character while also adding a kind of cool cosmetic choice based on how skilled the player is at not getting hit.
@Unstoppable Plays! yeah but I don’t like it there either. Espescially if Miles is in a world where Peter is still alive then he should definitely not also be peter level genius too
@Unstoppable Plays! There's other ways to make him independent. i hope i dont come off as racist, but honestly..the game's miles is just peter parker junior, but with the added pinch of being a black guy the quips arent amusing, and overall he's just kind of blah..the reason why spiderverse worked is they made every spidey feel different. Miles wasnt a genius, but he wasnt an idiot...he was smart, but artistic too..
I totally agree. Which is weird because there is a disconnect between narrative Miles and gameplay Miles. Gameplay Miles has only 4 gadgets (far fewer than Pete Parker uses), and two of those gadgets were either made by Peter for Miles or Miles adapting Peter's tech. Gameplay Miles has his whole combat system built around using his camouflage and venom powers to make up for his lack of a gadget arsenal. He also needs Genke to help integrate tech into his suit to withstand his own venom attacks. Then narrative Miles is an engineering genius who is winning awards by 4th grade. And the device he invented in 4th grade turns out to be the linchpin of adult Phin's terror attack plot. Its like the game wanted to have both the "street kid" and "prodigy student" plots, but didn't do a great job at blending those two. And so now there is a weird disconnect. Or at least that is how I saw it, I could be wrong.
Something I have the need to clear up here the same argument can be brought up with spider verse miles I mean look at it this way other than the suit what did he really do the others has a guide him the entire away because even he wasn't fully sure what he had to do and he had his web shooters given to him by May all of that equate up to him defeating Kingpin also also it was shown spider verse miles was actually intelligent and that he purposely failed so that he could go back to his neighborhood School I really don't see a difference between this mild cell for the fact that Peter wasn't really there to teach him anything cancel the holo-pete which was actually a pretty fun reference the Pete's first second villain in the comics yes I'm still salty that chameleon wasn't brought up somewhere in the story other than that other than that the story does feel like a match cut of the old one just with slight differences don't get me wrong I still love this game for what it is but at the same time it feel hats off to Insomniac though.
"How about a flooding underwater car tunnel next time?" Actually, yeah, that could be interesting. Doesn't exactly sound like a Spider-Man scenario, though.
@@rushvand2685 to fix the logic for his powers: 1. The spider that bit him was bio engineering so that explains the electricity. 2. Spiders disappear all the time, ever lost one trying to kill it?

It's like some developer was using symbolism to get back at their lying ex boyfriend.
I think, you maybe forgot one really big major flaw about that "New Spider Man to the rescue" App: You could track it down to the owner/maker which put Ganke in real high danger to spot out Spider Man's App Designer/Friend
3:10 you forgot to sin the part where miles back flips for no reason, when he, one: didn’t have too, and two: could’ve caught him. Or three: just stood and watched like a normal human being.
I do not care for Phin some how kicking Miles' ass everytime they fought. It was ridiculous, i beat the snot out of everyone but as soon as we fight she somehow gets the best of me EVERYTIME?!?
Especially considering that the most difficult part of her actual boss fight is when you get put into a cutscene and she throws you somewhere based on how close you are or something. Phin is definitely disproptionally powerful in cutscenes against Spider-Man.
Actually there is an actual spider that comes fairly close to Mile's invisibility or at least in proximity of it. The female white banded crab spider or as one website calls them, the chameleon spider can change their color to match the type of flower they live on. Typically white or yellow. Though some of the spider powers exhibited aren't exactly a direct one to one comparison of what a spider actually can and does do. For instance their spider sense originally was able to sense vibrations, which is fairly close to a spider's highly sensitive hair, Peter and some of his clones' spider sense evolved into more of a short term precognition that works even when he's asleep. He can even use it to cheat at gamboling if he wanted. Which as far as we know, spiders cant see the future like Peter can. Miles' electric powers are more radiation based, but its use for travel is actually somewhat similar to what some spiders actually do. As it turns out spiders are actually quite sensitive to the earth's own electrostatic fields and can use these fields in a rather fascinating and terrifying way. Spiders use the earth's electrostatic fields and a strand of spider's silk to "fly" large distances, a phenomenon scientists refer to as ballooning. Which admittedly isn't quite the same as Miles' vaulting through the air with electricity, but it does seem spider like at least.
I hadn't played the game yet, but when I heard about the app, I stopped the video and I said it was a ludicrous idea because a villain would use it to lure Spider-man into a trap. Glad to know I wasn't alone in the sheer stupidity of that idea.
I know this video is made for fun, but I wanted to point something out about that first sin Miles didn't JUST become Spider in the Insomniac universe because of that Spider Bite, he became Spider-Man because of the attack on City Hall that killed his father, that made him want to protect others. In the first game he was ready to knock out the demon patrolling around his dad's body despite their terrifying powers, and in this game after the Underground attacked his mom's rally, he called his mom to make sure she was ok because he was scared for her I'd say the death of Jefferson Davis was just as important in this universe as that single spider bite

Propping Phin, the fully committed terrorist and psycopath, as a hero for sacrificing herself? I just can't get over how bad that was.
Honestly Phin makes zero sense. Either she wants to destroy Roxonn: gather evidence and show it to the public. Or she just wants revenge: just kill Krieger, there's literally NOTHING stopping her.
To be fair there is one species of spider I know which possesses the ability to change colour in order to camouflage in its surroundings. That being the whitebanded crab spider. Other species have also been found to be able to use electrical discharges for defence and transportation

THIS on the other hand was most definitely made by Sony, and the severe dip in quality is all too clear.
@Gold Star Gaming How about we not let Sony off the hook that easily shall we? Especially with how they bastardized Ratchet & Clank with that "remake" and reduced God of War into a typical third person shooter that forgot the guns....and that's just for starters...
@Gold Star Gaming God of War 4 is built off the gameplay style indicative of Gears of War, Dead Space and the like, trying to be a beat em' up with a "fleshed out" combo system like the good ol' days but now with two serious flaws. THE CAMERA AND THE INABILITY TO JUMP. Now you have to put up with a game that expects you to play it like DMC but is cripplingly gimped by having a locked camera perspective with accompanying tank controls, reliance on some crappy "danger ring" to read enemy attacks from OFF SCREEN, the further limitation of not being able to jump thereby reducing the versatility of the combat and an overload of quick time events used as duct tape to fill in whatever gaps they left in the combat system. In other words, it's just another third person shooter where its only unique trait is being melee weapons only. And you know damn well about that wet fart of a Ratchet & Clank game on the PS4 that was so piss poor it was even a movie tie in.
rhino's escape wasnt miles' fault, rhino was going to escape anyway which is why miles had to try and stop it, the only thing that miles made different to what wouldve happend is the reason the aircraft crashed was because webbing was in the propeller instead of rhino busting put mid air and putting it off balance crashing it into a building. He in my opinion has plenty of reason to become spider man.
He also only beat Rhino and Scorpion by turning them against one another, the whole point of that fight was that Peter couldn't beat them both head on.

Imagine how you have a better grip on the ground in a wide stance. Because your hips evolved to have stabilizing muscles constantly firing so when you are on one leg or two, you either push in our out. And because of his perfect equilibrium he can seamlessly switch between the two so it literally looks like he's crawling on the ground
I’m glad someone finally pointed out how messed up it was for Phin to choose to attack a rally being held by Miles’ mom. That’s like trying to make Green Goblin seem like a friendly sympathetic character after dropping Gwen Stacy. Phin is way more evil that the game presents her.

The rich prick- Simon krieger/Norman Osborn
A dangerous and powerful gang- the demons/the underground
Corporate military who pretend to help but we all know we’re going to fight-sable/roxxon

He tried. She didn't listen.
Besides he’s not even that smart. He knows the science behind a lot of things but he’s not able to make the right decisions on the fly
He isn't a genius in the comics. Just above average
Boy that first sin really cut deep for you I can tell lmaooo
I absolutely loved Miles Morales, but it was such a weird experience. There were so many moments where the story had plenty of material to flesh out and explore, but just didn't. Like Prowler unmasking himself within 20 seconds of making an appearance, using a fade-to-black time skip when Miles' mom discovers that her son is Spiderman so we don't see 95% of her reaction, and never showing how Miles and Genke came to be crime fighting partners. The game always felt rushed to get to the next bad guy beatdown.
Agreed, I know the game isn’t as long as the first one and was marketed as such, but it can be a bit longer in order to include important scenes like that
Since this story was made by INSOMNIAC, who nailed this game’s predecessor’s story, I’m a little worried about how Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is going to turn out
@@haywardbarrows5906 yes it's made by insomniac what are you even saying?

Good question. And I might’ve remembered this wrong, but Miles said it was real live cold outside. But even then, he managed to deal with it so far.
imo he had to get in the building fast before someone saw him so he took the closest window but idk

Espescially if Miles is in a world where Peter is still alive then he should definitely not also be peter level genius too

i hope i dont come off as racist, but honestly..the game's miles is just peter parker junior, but with the added pinch of being a black guy
the quips arent amusing, and overall he's just kind of blah..the reason why spiderverse worked is they made every spidey feel different. Miles wasnt a genius, but he wasnt an idiot...he was smart, but artistic too..
@Unstoppable Plays! unpopular opinion the added powers in the comics always felt like theyre just compensating for a lack of good character writing

@@benadams5915 I chalked a lot of the story up as "superhero shenanigans" and forgave some of the lesser notes like the cops not reclaiming Rhino, but basically *all* of Phin is just unforgivable imo. Creating and *mass producing* nano tech? Putting people's lives in danger for some petty revenge nowhere near thought through? There's just so much wrong with her arc in the story that it made me not care about her far before the end.
"Roxxon make Spider-Man their enemy for no real reason." You mean, reasons like destroying a batch of Nuform (a substance that they can't recreate alone, not without enough to reverse engineer) and DESTROYING A FREAKING BRIDGE?
It's miles fault because of his venom electricity that destroyed the bridge
@@Pipsintheair Though I think, if I remember correctly, the game doesn't have anyone outside of Jameson, Phin and Roxxon take issue with him doing that. I think, if I remember correctly, almost everyone humps the leg of Spider-Man still after that.
Phin was the one who knocked him in the truck. Its not like Miles did it on purpose.
@@playerback7722 yeah but he did release some of electricity because he doesn't yet Master the venom power
@Gold Star Gaming spidey sense doesn't tingle him very much
I'm surprised you didn't add a sin for Miles constantly apologizing to Phin for lying instead of pointing out the hypocrisy of her not telling him she's the Tinkerer and that her brother died. In the end Phin just wasn't a very good villain. To me she, felt more like a spoiled brat with super-tech than a super-villain.
To be fair about the first part, I think the game is about showing us how miles morales steps out of Peter's shadow to make his own name as Spider-Man
And also he wants to be Spider-Man to uphold and honor what his father stood for
Why is Miles also a genius? He could've had all the new powers but no super intelligence.
Is it just me or does miles sound younger in this game, than he did in the first
Yeah, I always remember how he sounded at his father's funeral in the first game, compared to how light and whiny it was in this.
Yeah I think they should’ve made him do a more deep/matured voice cause he’s 17
He should've had his movie voice
10:40 did you miss the part in the last game where Miles was bitten not by a natural spider, but by an engineered spider held in Norman's personal lab? When MJ pokes around she reads that those spiders were given properties like bioelectrokinesis and optical camouflage, i.e. Miles's abilities?
Should have pointed out that at 00:16, Tobey Maguire's face appears on a newspaper. Not sure if it was an intentional EE or not, but its worth mentioning, even if its not a sin. Especially since you yourself pointed out the Raimi reference in the first EWW: Spider-Man video
You should look again thats Simon Kriger on the news paper not toby it says "Mr Roxxon" as the headline
16:28 Bro, Aaron’s advise was to give Miles something to clear his mind, which is why he gave him that flash drive, lol. Still a good vid, tho.
Correct, plus he was offering Miles a backstory of himself and his brother (Miles' dad)
9:36 miles' bioelctricity just shocked her in the face and does ZERO DAMAGE
Looking at this after a bad day at work and all I can think is "Bless you"
I’m disappointed you didn’t use “The exaggerated Swagger of a Black Teen” as the Achievement at the end.
This guy: sins for no one being mad at miles for exploading a bridge
Also this guy: roxxon gets mad at miles destroying a bridge for no reason, sin
Also he sins Peter getting wrecked by Rhino even though he went through an explosion got punched and kicked and thrown through walls and punched through a wall into Electricity. He’s pretty stupid and stupid
@@jaxsonholt5933 not to mention his sin about Miles invisibility which if you paid attention in the first game or know the lore it's due to an experimental and genetically modified spider. But yeah...sin his light bending invisibility.

The closest comparison you can really make with this game is inFamous First Light. Both are standalone DLC to a game about superheroes starring a side character from the base game. The only difference is the gall to charge $50-70.
Fun fact, sin #12 is actually lampshaded by the game itself in a social media post in the pause menu.
I may could includ one more sin. Around the one of the people answered the reporter to the question "who that Spider-Man is" with "That is OUR Spider-Man".
Me: "Yeah like Peter never went Harlem and never helped people there and just makes big curves around Harlem I means serioursly wtf!"
I agree with the OG spidey getting his ass handed to him by Rhino sin, but then again he did get rammed into a flammable silo & into several structural buildings he's not fucking superman. Soooooo dartigan, are you padding the sin count bro?
Yeah idk why he just ignored that part. He seems to do that with every game just so he has something to complain about
@@Username-wj8pz yeah thats my problem with his videos when he reviews good games he adds weird non sins
He got that while fighting rhino. The point was in the first game peter was easily able to stop rhino and He was no threat. Meanwhile in this game both Peter and miles togheter barely struggle to stop rhino. Its bascially as if raditz in dbz just rose up from the dead and beat ultra instinct goku to near death.
@@Inviabledude45 True, but you could make the excuse that Peter also was handling Miles and taking it as more of a training exercise so he let Miles take over while he did secondary things like saving people and such, with the fact that a lot of damage was coming at him by Rhino in a small area after the explosion.
greens expect he didn't. If I remember correctly he sends miles to round up the street thugs and miles has to rush in to save Peter as Peter is absolutely helpless in stopping rino even before he is injured. Rhino goes bascially being fodder to being more formidable than venom.
“Mom can we have Spider-Man?”
“We have Spider-Man at home”
I disagree with Prowler’s cloaking tech sin. Miles turns invisible because it’s his superpower. The Prowler turns invisible because he uses technology, so Miles wants to know how it works.
I found turning invisible when fighting prowler an issue. It didn't help me sneak up on him, not that he was hard, and he became more of a hassle to catch afterward. Its better just to stay visible.
Trailer for this could have been "In a world where heroes burn down stores, we can be more. Get up, we got streets to burn."
10:30 that's a critique of the original character's powers, rather than the actual game, tho.
The devs had to make the decision to include it though

4:50 to be fair in the first game Fisk ran through walls threw desks and punched though a gas pipe I don’t think he’d have too much trouble getting into his secret base the problem is that it’s right in the middle of the lobby so he’d never be able to access it in the day and he’d have to make sure absolutely everyone is gone in his big ass tower before going in

See shit like this is why I refuse to give sony credit for Into The Spiderverse. That wasn't made by Sony, that was made by a team of people who actually cared about making a story centered on Miles that just happened to be funded by Sony's money. THIS on the other hand was most definitely made by Sony, and the severe dip in quality is all too clear.
Speak for yourself this game is a 10/10 for me
@@doomslayer1210 Then I guess you like watered down mediocrity >: /
Damn you similar to the actual cinema sins in so many ways, including the way he 'fakes ignorance' as the birdman would say, apart from the fact that the cinema sins narrator doesnt have a voice that makes me want to throw myself out the window.
@Gold Star Gaming oh god let me guess, it's just satire, seriously there are jokes and then theres just being a tad stupid I bet that when he wrote that down for the video he wasnt thinking, 'oh this is 100% wrong but I'll still put it in cos it's funny even though I'll seem like an idiot'

That's some black teen swag right there
Uncle Aaron gives him a subway pass with his name on it while telling him to keep his identity a secret 😭😭😭
its even shorter than the actual spiderman dlc man
Yea that’s my biggest problem with it. I’m sorry but no open world games should be short. The only type of games that should have a short story is games like Call of Duty games like that where you play online but when it comes to single player open world games the campaign should always be long especially for the amount of money we pay🤷🏾♂️
It’s like double the length of the dlc
@@roryporter810 nah, I was able to 100% complete Miles Morales in two sittings and it felt like it was only mayne 10 hours total. I get 4 hours per DLC to 100% them. There's four DLC episodes which totalled me 15 to 18 hours if I remember correctly. Hell, the Spiderman ps4 DLC had a better story with Yuri becoming a vigilante and Hammerhead doing something I would've never ever expected. The entire Miles game wasn't interesting. Hell, I got better enjoyment from doing the screwball missions than the hologram missions since I loved to hate screwball and how infuriatingly annoying she was. The Spiderman ps4 dlc was a better as a standalone story than Miles.
It's funny how you said Phin blowing up the plaza would be an act of terrorism and that the place was insured. Not funny in a bad way, funny as in Krieger says the exact same thing during the final boss

Anyone who grew up playing b-ball will tell you that they kind of are, lol. You can absolutely identify someone by their form, posture, movements and footwork alone, to say nothing of how Uncle Aaron would use those in combination with the sound of Miles' voice and being the same height and having the same figure as U-Spider Man.
That opening monologue for the first sin *mwah* c'est magnifique!
17:00 this is kind of manipulating the scene. Rhino’s suit is immune to Miles’ bioelectricity. Miles got minced at the start of the game without it, and only beat rhino when he discovered it. so yeah it makes sense that he’s easily beaten in this situation
Jacob Haskins would be excellent at Th3Birdman
17:40 This wasn’t pulled out off nowhere, heck you literally showed it a few sins ago, and why he did it is because their using shock batons to beat him up building a charge
I agree with a lot of your points. Still tho, the game is an excellent example of a narrative Influenced open world structure. There is a lot of ambiance and decent pacing in this game. Also you forgot that Jeff Davis, the cop that saved spider man, died in the attack on city hall. His dad was a cop and his mentor is Spider Man and Peter who helps a lot at a homeless center. Why did they name his black hero cop dad after the first and only president of the confederate states

Last I heard, the wall crawling powers used by Miles and Peter worked by electron manipulation tied to their bioelectric auras.
Imagine how you have a better grip on the ground in a wide stance. Because your hips evolved to have stabilizing muscles constantly firing so when you are on one leg or two, you either push in our out. And since spiderman can lift 12.5 tons I'm guessing those muscles are so strong that he can either squeeze surfaces or ninja push out to secure a grip. And because of his perfect equilibrium he can seamlessly switch between the two so it literally looks like he's crawling on the ground
