I'm not gonna comment about Dartigan's lack of insight in the game. I'm just gonna say... Peter never thought about using a false identity to market himself?
18:16 When has been Aunt May dying a cliché? it literally only happened twice in the comics, and one of them was a fake death by an Osborn payed actress.
Not only that but this game actually killed her off. I don't think there's any other story that's done that. (Or at least didn't get it reversed.) If there's a sequel or trilogy, I have to say that May should stay dead.

Sin #121 Aunt May said to Peter near the end that she knew he was Spider-Man for a while now. So it's not that unbelievable she would call Peter to deal with escaped inmates. Also, you just can't sin Stan Lee. That was his sweetest cameo ever!!
Alexander Ehrich Of course she does. I'm just saying... with all the escaped Ryker inmates out there, I wondered how she figured he could make it. But that was hinting that she knows he's Spider-Man, well, it all depends on how one sees it.
@@RJDavePhin I think, because of all the shit, spiderman dealt within few days, she wanted to see him to make sure he is alright. Because he is all she has left. And she knew, when she calls him he will show up, no matter the circumstances.
17:33 Otto was planning the Raft breakout and the making of the villains costumes way before that night, you can even see prototypes of the costumes in Otto's lab before that event.
There's even a fully detailed sketch of the Raft and all of the prison patrol routes up on the board, there's plenty of evidence around. Then again, he didn't seem to want to sin any actual gameplay mechanics or side content besides the towers that are directly introduced through the story, so...
And Norman Osborn is still alive, and he’s not The Green Goblin, Harry is sick and he’ll probably become Venom, Curt Connors is the Lizard. Nah, this is not the continuation of Raimi’s work
18:35 Aunt May KNOWS Peter is Spider-Man, she says so on her death bed "I've known for a while" even though WE the player don't know that she knows at this point in the game, she DOES know which is why she mentioned they needed help. 19: 05 Otto's been planning this since Norman tried to shut the lab down and possibly much longer, if you look around the lab this is obvious. He has a diagram of the RAFT, 3d printed armor plating for Rhino and that enormous hypodermic needle prototype for Scorpion on the screen. He gives you reasons/excuses why he has this stuff but it's bullshit.
philipinoboy13 Stan Lee was the creator of Spider-Man and various other Marvel Superheroes. He was really well known for making cameos in every single Marvel Movie. He unfortunately passed away two years ago at the age of 95.
@@KiDoPeHD You do realize it was a deal made by Stan Lee himself? He wanted to be in all the Marvel movies. It may be strange for him to be in a video game, granted, but that just proves that big things are in store for this game.
@@hellreaper2845 Imagine him as a physical joke. Thats what hes there for in any Marvel (insert movie, shows, etc) anyway. Youd get tired of hearing the same joke in every Marvel (insert movie, shows, etc) right? People are tired of *seeing* the same joke
I would have taken a sin off for May actually dying. Considering the shitshow that is ‘One More Day’ it’s good that the game had the balls to follow through
Insomniac acknowledged that out of all of Peter's loved ones, May would die first. I say this about real life death as well: You can know exactly when a loved one is gonna die, still hurts when it eventually happens.
Sorry for posting two replies but I think if Joe Quesada wrote this game, Peter would definitely have used that cure on May, dooming everyone else infected.
And thats why everyone hates Joe Quesada because he doesn't understand what Spider-Man would do in a situation like this. He clearly doesn't understand "With Great Power there must always come Great Responsibility".
No if Joe Quesada was writing it some previously Z list character would come out of nowhere, pinch the cure and say he can have it for Aunt May if he is willing to go back to being 16, reboot the series so they can do an origin story again and ignore that means the biothreat is ignored so none of this matters. On the bright side we got the Renew your vows series where Quesada wasn't in control of spider-man and ignore a decent portion of the last decade of spider-man stories
Aunt May is dying is definitely a cliche it's just she always gets saved. but the amount of stories that are fueled by Aunt May is dying we better get the cure or whatever.
"...just gives you a limited time period where you have unlimited spider gadgets, which are useless against Octavius." Yet it shows you shooting webs at him seconds later. Webs that work. *ding*
that was never a problem for me my basic webs would stun him everytime I unloaded a entire bar into him+ a web grenade ._.(though my webshooter gadget was maxed out by the end and so were my web grenades.)
its funny at 8:47 because in the side mission "error: file not found" peter is fighting thugs over a file drive and one of his voice lines goes something like "havent you heard of the cloud"
1:20 the webslinging is smoother than a jar of skippy fresh off the shelf, you could straight up remove fast travel altogether and still have the high reviews
swinging has to many inconsistency's regarding animations lining up with the physics as well as movement tracks being implemented ruined any form of momentum being increased realistically
11:23 - Silver Sable being in the game is NOT to help raise awareness for her upcoming movie, the folks at Insomniac Games have stated that they borrowed a lot of elements from the Ultimate Spider-Man Comics and even mentioned the Ultimate Spider-Man Game; which Silver Sable was apart of. While I do agree that Silver Sable doesn't do much, Silver Sable wasn't included in the game to raise awareness for her upcoming movie, hell most people don't even that Silver Sable is even getting her own movie, just saying.
Tai Tiger One of the DLCs is called Silver Lining and considering her small role I was under the impression that she either has a role in the DLC or at the very least she gets used again at some point. I obviously can't say for sure but yeah
Tai Tiger Makes sense. I just thought maybe they would use her again but who knows? Personally it doesn't make much of a different to me so there that is.
He's sinning the before spider Man got their those hundreds of pounds of cement were being held up by, and not crushing the ribcages of two normal people.
2:08 He directly explains that when you pick up a Spider-Plushie collectable. To get royalties, he needs to reveal his identity, which, for obvious reasons, he cannot do. 3:55 Lmao, his high tech battle damaged halloween costume? Gtfoh. 4:22 Otto had the implant since the start of the game. It was gradually erasing his inhibition, starting with him testing the prosthetic without a lab partner. If you pay attention, he wears a turtle neck throughout the whole game, likely hiding the implant.
Diamond Beau also I played these games, save for dark souls. And I enjoyed the hell out of them. And I don’t think you are capable of judging good games based on how you call this one terrible, then you’re not a real gamer. Gamers know good games from bad, and you are just a mainstream normie.
Diamond Beau you just called dark souls nearly perfect. You called the game that has two game mechanics nearly perfect. You can dodge and attack. The game has no story unless you look into it, graphics are below par and really hasn’t aged well
It's funny how they pick apart Aunt May calling Peter for help in the prison breakout section. As soon as that scene happened I was like 'yeah she knows'. No way would overprotective selfless Aunt May call her nephew to a situation like that if she didn't know he could deal with it, and then we find out later that shes known all along. That was intentional by Insomniac I swear.
15:43 *"this game could be a direct continuation of Sam Rami's Spider-Man movies"* ... This game? About the origin of Doctor Octopus?... who hates Norman Osbourne, who is alive, and well? And his son Harry, who is also alive? And Spider-Man keeping the Sandman in a test tube, in a backpack he left lying around the city? Erh....
GMMReviews Oh he did more than that... He left that vial of Sandman in a backpack he left webbed up TO AVENGERS TOWER! You know, the same group of Avengers that DOES NOT EXIST in the Sam Raimi movies? But they did name drop Doctor Strange in Spider-Man 2, so he might exist...
bcfb21 Yeah. You know how there are so many legal battles between Marvel and DC comics? Just another one of those (though it is one of the dumber ones in my opinion).
If you went back in the lab you can actually see that Octavius was building/improving the villians gear and that he was planning the Raft breakout. He has been planning this from when he first put the neural interface in. Also Peter states that Octavius probably was using the neural interface before he knew about it. I swear 30-40% of your sins are bullshit or ignorance but I shouldnt be surprised considering this is based off of CinemaSins.
Anthony Roberts yep, he's been planning it since Norman tried to shut the lab down or at the very least since Li attacked city hall. The 3d printed armor plating, the massive hypodermic needle prototype, the diagram of the RAFT, he gives you bullshit excuses why he has that stuff but did people just think it was a coincidence he already had everything he needed to plan the breakout? Lol
@@jackmeriustacktheritrix it was actually before that. Peter found out that Ock was designing the villains suits for years. It's hinted in the game that he hired Peter to keep him close because he knew who he was. I think the game made it clear that Ock was a bad guy for years
@@jackmeriustacktheritrix Just walk around the lab after Octavius calls you to work on the neural interface. @@jackmeriustacktheritrix I didn't catch it until my second playthrough. It's not explicitly said but if you walk through the lab you'll see the villains old suit designs. Then at the very end the hurt on Peter's face when he realized Ock knew he was Spider-Man all along. Because Ock was helping the people who had been trying to kill him for years. My guess is that Ock helped them because it made Osborn look bad. He'd been planning something like this for years under the guise of trying to help people. That's why Peter looked disgusted with everything at the end. Because he thought that Otto was the real guy and doc Ock was a result of the implant. He realized that Otto was fake and that Ock was always who he was. None of this is ever stated but listening to little exchanges and paying attention to details and you can put it together. The writing in this game is incredible.

well sins like spiderman survives this, or spiderman's ribs can't hold that and stan lee sin was pretttttty useless. In the game description of spiderman he can basically lift up to 10 tons, and he has regenerative healing and high durability, so taking these into consideration and spider sense, you should at least take off 20 sins.

0:18 So I take it you prefer the stories in your films and games to provide no backstory on any of the characters, slowly panning across various photos and memorabilia to establish who Peter is is HIGHLY preferable to most people than a line of text or voice over to get all that necessary set up established. 0:29 Holy shit it's an easter egg, by that logic I guess you can assume the "Jill's Sandwich" restaurant you see in Dead Rising is a confirmation that Dead Rising is set in the Resident Evil universe. 0:37 Peter stores all those gadgets on his person when he goes out, you wouldn't be able to access them in the game if he did otherwise, as for the drawings, nobody knows how Spiderman's powers work aside from maybe MJ, so for all the landlord knows it could just be some random device Peter is working on, there's nothing that blatantly communicates that he's spiderman. 0:45 It's necessary to setup that this is a world where a bunch of supervillains exist, this was the least cumbersome way of doing so, would you have preferred the game to just stop everything and tell you out loud? 1:30 Notice how Yuri said they were at the tower, not inside the tower, she was waiting on the warrant, not waiting to see if the warrant was made. No police protocol was violated here. 1:48 It's pretty well established that Fisk is desperate, and that no attorney on earth could convince a jury against the evidence that they have on him, why do you think he's trying to erase said evidence in his computer room? 1:56 you're shitting me right? I don't think Yuri meant Fisk would be walking the streets, she probably meant that he would fly away from the building in a chopper or something. 2:08 Why does that matter? It's a world with superheroes, the fact that superhero movies exist makes perfect sense, why are the specifics so goddamn important? 2:31 the areas of the concrete that were sitting on top of those two people had arches that just barely sit over their stomachs, if they had any other shape those two would be dead. 3:23 Yes they're inspired by the arkham games, there aren't that many similarities, one is Batman, one is Spiderman, both characters are pretty different from each other, and both of those games were very faithful to said characters. 3:44 Hiring a group of trained technicians would be a huge drain of money and resources on the NYPD who had just spent a shit ton of money and resources taking down Fisk, why bother with all that stress when they can just get spiderman to do it? 4:02 If he was making a halloween costume why the fuck would he do it in Octavius' lab? That excuse would be retarded, even by the standards of dumb excuses that Peter has been known to make. 4:27 Yeah the developers intentionally waited to make Otto become Doc Ock, they knew most players would be aware of him being Doc Ock, so they made him as sympathetic as possible to make his turn more tragic, it's called character development. 4:33 I don't know what the odds that his best friend's dad would become the Green goblin? What are the odds that his coworker at the daily bugle would become Venom? If you can accept peter shooting webs and climbing on walls little coincidences like that are inconsequential. 4:55 You do realize that the segment where we played as MJ didn't chronicle every moment leading up to her encountering Peter right? 5:50 Ummm Stan Lee did the opening narration for the Spiderman game on PS1. 5:51 no more implausible than a guy who can stick to walls and shoot webs. 6:17 The reason he partially told the truth about the mask was so he could protect Peter, he likes Peter, which is why he told him not to get involved in any of it. 6:33 We only see them take a few things in the cut scene, its implied that afterward they emptied the lab of equipment. 6:56 you just debunked your own argument, Osborn is the mayor, which means the City grant came from HIM, meaning that he has every right to pull the funding from the lab. 7:04 Yeah because Peter has nothing that's expensive that can eat up his pocket money, web shooters, a vast array of gadgets, tech built into his suit. If Pete had no technology that he used as Spiderman as well as organic webs like in the Raimi movies, then you might have a point here. 7:42 Li didn't start taking Fisk's weapons after Fisk was taken down. At the construction site Spiderman asks Fisk about the Demons, which suggests that Fisk knows a few things about them, which also suggests he has a little bit of history with them. The game pretty much states that the Demons were seizing weapons from Fisk well before he was arrested, probably the main reason why he said "in a month you'll beg to have me back" or something like that. 8:12 a bullet is faster, and far more accurate than a taser, plus Jeff was what like 100 feet from that demon? I'm pretty tasers can't shoot out that far. 8:49 what good are backups or cloud storage if you get evicted from your fucking apartment? 8:56 how is that a sin? Peter has to sleep at a homeless shelter, whats the issue with that? 9:07 pretty sure that 300 bucks was just to help Peter eat for a few days while he figures things out. 9:15 Well Yuri has Spidey's number, pretty likely he got it off her. 9:22 I'm pretty sure they don't let you keep your cell phone when you're in prison, pretty likely Fisk greased some palms to get access to a cell phone period. 9:36 Yeah Spiderman is the best suited to taking the Demons out, so Fisk withholding information is extra incentive for Spiderman to take care of the demons, why is this a sin again? 9:39 Spiderman fights the Rhino on a regular basis, pretty sure getting hit by a huge construction weight is petty in comparison. 9:46 What the fuck else was he supposed to do to stop the chopper? He's not Superman, he can't just fly past it, catch it, and gently hover to the ground while holding the chopper in one hand. 9: 57 it wasn't half the city it was a couple blocks at most, New York is a pretty big place. 11:42 Technically Aunt May owns the FEAST center since Li left. 12:28 I think Li wanted to give Isaac a chance to tell him the guy's name of his own free will before he used his powers on him. 12:57 Yeah it's not like he's trapped under a giant server box and getting a clear shot would be kind of hard at a long range. 13:19 When did they say Devil's breath was meant for mass consumption? I don't recall the game ever stating that. It's well established that Devils breath is meant as a cure for Harry's condition. 15:47 Jesus christ no, how is it a continuation of the Raimi movies when 1. Norman Osborn is still alive 2. Peter uses web shooters and not organic webbing 3. Octavius is still alive, and hasnt become Doc Ock yet. 4. Harry is still alive and isn't consumed by revenge That line is a wink and nod to Spiderman 2, nothing more. I don't think you quite grasp the concept of easter eggs. 15:55 You know subway trains have metal bars to hold onto right? Those aren't there for decoration, they also save your life in the event of a crash or collision of some kind. 16:07 Dear god they fold compactly behind him, that's one way the can magically appear for that reveal. 16:16 Actually he was, he was in collusion with Li and all those villains at the raft, plus he promised all of them what they wanted in return for making his plan a reality, so it's likely that he was planning on being a supervillain when he made those arms. 17:16 Again the police are short staffed, how are you missing that? 17:27 It's a prison that houses supervillains, why wouldn't you have rocket launchers? 17:59 Because it's an experiment that was no where near complete, remember that it was being made to cure Harry, for the unique condition he has it could go through all kinds of different forms. 18:18 How is that a cliche? How many films or games have featured Aunt May dying before exactly? 18:50 except May actually knows Peter is Spiderman, so he can deal with it. 18:59 who's to say that he isnt? His arms do everything for him, so it really doesn't make a big difference. 19:17 What the fuck makes you think it was less than a day? After he releases the virus, we see a montage of how it's affecting Manhattan, the game establishes that at least a couple days pass between Ock releasing the virus and the player regaining control of spiderman again. 19:50 Peter didn't have the same exposure to Scorpions toxin that he does at that moment. 20:20 Scorpion's suit makes him pretty damn tough, not sure you knew this. 22:39 The reason Peter makes a suit to fight octavius is because Ock's arms beat the shit out of him, and they're also way faster than he's used to dealing with, making a suit out of the same substance as Ock's arms softens the blows from them pretty considerably. I think the fact that Spiderman showed up is a pretty good indicator to Ock that he saved Osborn. A lot of other things have been covered by other commenters, overall, pretty awful video.

Half of these sins are so poorly judged and half-assed. There are games before Batman that had decent to very well game mechanics and scenes. I wish they drew more attention to this in game. It tells you that Otto had always been like this but the neural interface just made it click.
Just some sins I have to point out are wrong, one of the collectables of the game, is a spider-man plush doll, when peter finds this collectable he says he authorized it's selling, but did not gain anything from it, because he would need to reveal his real identity in order to have rights to part of the profit. He didn't tho. It was revealed in the fight when Otto calls him Parker. That's literally the point, that was basically his way of saying "Your secret is safe with me" before he went insane.

I gave spiderman ps4 a 5/10. lame boss fights, the shitty mj/miles missions. I didn't pay to play as mj or a whack replacement to peter, if you're gonna have the player play as someone else, make it decent, like when ultimate spiderman let you play as venom. wall crawling is broken especially on ceilings, enemies get caught on invisible walls, game crashed 7 times in 3 hours, nobody waned ock as the final villain, gameplay aside, lets discuss graphics/designs. mj looks horrendous, she looks like someone modded her into the game, and don't give me that "its how women actually look in real life" bs. silver sable looks like a soccer mom with silver hair, I suppose doc ock looks accurate, black cat(who is known for revealing outfits) is apparently getting the middle east treatment because the only skin you can see is her face(and I know in certain parts in the middle east all you can see is their(women)eyes, vulture and the rest of the sinister six looks great. the costumes mostly are all the same(the "armor" esque ones), the costume list was laughable and lazy. the only interesting time I had swinging through the city during the 3rd act in the beginning when all the inmates are loose, other than that its just boring. combat is ripped right outta arkham, stealth sections are laughably easy especially with the "trip mine" and "impact web". during the tombstone fight I encountered a bug where he knocks you into the fire, and then just destroys you and you cant even move. yall praise this to be sent from God but in reality it's mediocre at best.
The suit Peter made at the end was also clearly made from the same material as Octavius's Tentacles, so he's not immediately grabbed and crushed by them, like the part where his Tentacle is starting to crush him on the side of the building after the boss fight.
@shadonic565 It's pretty much cliche and it didn't just happened in 616 comics but also in movies and in other comics specifically the Ultimate. How's my point null in void when it did happened throughout pretty much a lot of Spidey's story in the form of entertainment? May actually did died couple of times in the comic before the Civil War event happened but the writer found some bullshit ways to retconned her deaths long before One More Day. That's why people was so angry about that arc because the writer pulled the same shit again by not committed to kill Aunt May again after several of her "deaths". You're sound so fucking buttburt over something minor as this that you can't take a simple criticism and opinion like your life depends on it. How about you grow a little, edgy guy?
and i find it weird how people will defend dartigans points by saying "it just satire" or "it just it opinion" but that doesn't mean its free from criticism
@DarkSonic180 check out bobvids as a start. He points out mistakes and inconsistencies made by Cinema Sins. Haven't seen too many counter videos like that, but there are a few.
One thing I will mention is that when it comes to the stuff Octavius did to recruit the other villains he did do that over time. After Norman takes all his stuff early in the game, you can explore the lab on later visits and see that he’s working on the stuff for the other villains. You just don’t get context till Spider-man finds that hideout.
Btw the sin at 17:25, if you've played the game, a few seconds after Spiderman gets told that the Prisoners have rocket launchers, while you're fighting if you pay attention he'll ask why a prison has rocket launchers in the first place.
Not to mention this prison is an island that harbours super powered or enhanced villains, so I wouldn't doubt in cases where rhino or vulture escaped you wouldn't want a rocket launcher handy
@@ArsxnIV it points out the fact that the game developers added that “not make sense” on purpose and wasn’t an accident or something that other game developers use to add plot to the game.
No, the sin is that the game makes both the villains sympathetic, they both have the same conflicts with Spider-Man and Peter, which makes their interactions less interesting
"Aunt May is dying cliché" I'm pretty sure this game is the first time she actually does, so how the heck is it a cliché? Also, just because they didn't have ketchup with their fries doesn't mean that restaurant doesn't serve ketchup.

No, it shouldn't. He was a great person and one of the greatest comic book writers ever, but his presence for three seconds should not disregard the problems this game has.
Have you considered that his difficulty holding the platform on the burning building was due to the broken bones that you said would not affect his performance?
@@nghtspawn651 Gameplay =/= cutscenes Also it's called overexerting his body. He is pushing himself through the entire 3rd act. That's what makes him a hero.
Yourson Isold I’m pretty sure it’s more than pushing yourself to the limit is what makes you a hero. But if he was pushing himself to the limit, then why would he still control like normal gameplay and not a little slower or with additional animations that show he’s weak. The devs forgot about all that and tried to play it out as if he’s pushing himself and could’ve just easily tweaked a few animations to show he’s hurt.
@@nghtspawn651 It makes him a hero because he pushes himself to the limit to save people. Jeez, do I need to spell out everything? No. He is pushing himself to work at peak performance, aka the "normal" gameplay you keep mentioning. You know, they actually did tweak animations during the fight on the side of the building? The last phase vs. Doc Ock? *That* was Spidey at his absolute physical and mental limit. That's why he could barely fight anymore and just wildly throws punches and dodges sluggishly there. In the previous phase, he still had strength left and the suit supported his injured body. You even have the difference right in front of you and still try to pass your complaint off as legit. lol And the best part is that I already told you gameplay =/= cutscenes. Yourson Isold Spider-Man’s peak strength would kill a person. He holds back in most fights. And all this Spidey is weak bullshit showed up near the end of the game in a scripted fight sequence. Also Spider-Man did not want to kill Otto that’s why he held back. And why the hell wouldn’t gameplay equal cutscenes. That’s just a stupid excuse for you to hate on this video
23:03 i think you missed a point... He did saw him with the suit, but thought he was the suit designer. It was even mentioned in his email to Parker. After some time, he figured it out who was the man behind the mask.
They sad part about this video is that he is very much wrong and uneducated about many of the things he has commented about. The biggest giveaway to his ignorance is calling Aunt Mays death a cliche. Only one other story has done that, it was a badly received widely unpopular retconned story right after the comics version of Civil War.
Actually Aunt May has been killed off more than once. Twice in fact. The first time was one of the most beautifully written Spider-Man stories of all time, and unfortunately they undid it when they chose between bringing her back or MJ giving birth. They killed off Peter and MJ's unborn daughter to bring back Aunt May. God that was a terrible story.
In 5:45 the story that made that was non cannon, the only reason it is radioactive is because it’s a alternate universe where The spider that bit Peter including Peter himself was exposed to more radioactivity, in spiderman lore itself Spider-Man can have children with MJ without her ending up with cancer. So before you make a joke like that make sure it’s correct to the source material. Hell even Stan lee himself said he hated that story including OMD.
You're really asking this dumbass to make sure his stuff is correct to the source material. I don't think he'll ever do that 😂😂after all its Gaming Sins
Josue Galvan FRS if you don’t check the source material then you could miss out on sims you wouldn’t pick up if your a casual, and it only makes you look more foolish if you sin something that shouldn’t be a sin, your right this guy is no expert
I feel like a few of these “sins” are just “jokes”, not sins; another few is you not understanding the basics of Spider-Man or some of his powers; some of of these sins can be explained away by comic book logic or video game logic/mechanics; some more of these sins is you not actually paying attention to the story or understanding its subtleties; some more sins of you just sinning cliches just because they are there, even if the are done well, actually enhance the story, or don’t detract from the story in any way; a couple sins is you not understanding the fundamentals of storytelling, making you care even if you know the outcome (yeah, you may know that Dr Octavius will become a villain, but the story and characters are written so well that even after it happens, you don’t want it to); a couple sins is just you making vague comparisons just because something is slightly similar, even if the tone and execution are very different, and a few more is you sinning something that subverts expectations or does something well and should be a sin reduction. The amount of sins should be half of what it is. Maybe even less
Also he literally says in the game that he doesn’t make money off of these products because then he would need to reveal his true identity to collect royalties so he probably just bought the comic. This video is stupid.
@@t-bone4760 merely pointing his BS criticism is not taking it too seriously. It's not like this is a humor style genre of video. He's criticizing and people are responding appropriately because most of what he says is bullshit.
That whole “it was because of the radioactive semen right?!” Is even more funny when there’s a whole graphic novel devoted to how Spider-Man killed MJ slowly overtime due to radioactive exposure from his sperm that gives her cancer
16:14 you sin the fact that he wasn’t going to become a villain, but if you look around the lab, there’s already a map of the Raft and some of the other villains armor, meaning he already had it planned, it was a gut punch for me when I noticed it in my second play through
2:07 I think that’s part of spider man’s arc, especially in the comics. He was originally trying to make money by being a performer using his powers, but when uncle Ben died, he vowed to use his powers for something greater than money
All the walking missions with Mary Jane and Miles got on my nerves, as well as the repetitive side missions taking photos, collecting back packs and an abundance of random fights with bad guys. It took away from an otherwise great story. Oh, and Mary Jane overall was incredibly annoying, creating more problems than solutions...
Adding a sin counter for everything that can be easily explained Sin #2 (Spider-Man comics): although he had a point with the Spider-Man comics in his room it’s clear as day that it was just a nod to the original Spider-Man comics which shaped the character and offer no relevance to the story, however if Spider-Man comics did exist in that world considering no one knows the identity of Spider-Man other than a select few people his origin story would be completely cut out from the comics Sin #11 (Kingpin’s escape): aye New York is a big place, and he was getting in a helicopter so one could assume he was going out of New York or out of the country even, not really and issue here Sin #12 (super hero movies): more than likely they would be based off real events like how they made a musical about the first avengers movie in Hawkeye, also I saw a comment in this comment section that explained why he couldn’t market Himself so I’ll just briefly put no Identity, no money Spider-Man has a very strict secret identity rule Sin #12 (Tons of concrete): I feel like a lot of people forget this but one of Spider-Man’s powers is super strength, him lifting fallen debris isn’t that hard for him especially if he is doing things like stopping cars Sin #17 (Commissioner Yuri): yeah you’re right…for the time being, just play the last two DLC stories Sin #19 (Spider-Man costume): yeah no..that lie would not work for several reasons, two of the obvious are 1, he’s in a tech lab where his suit is laid out by a bunch of tools and gadgets no one who’s designing a costume for Halloween would go through all of that, and 2 why there in the first place? He could’ve easily designed that at home but he did it in a tech lab, besides Otto is a VERY smart person, even if Peter said the it’s a Halloween costume lie Octavius would’ve obviously know he was lying Sin #20 (Otto and Li): while I agree with the playing coy with Otto I disagree with the assumption that they just blew his origin off by saying “oh it’s just a brain implant”. That is quite literally how Octavius became Doctor octopus, although it wasn’t his original Origin in the comics popular iterations of Doctor Octopus involve a brain chip making him aggressive and driving him crazy. Me personally this is my favorite origin of Doc Ock for the other sin Sin #21 (Parker Luck): one of my favorite aspects of Spider-Man is the fact that most of his villains have a personal connection to Peter Parker wether major or minor, popular examples are green goblin who is the father of his best friend, Doctor Octopus who in the 90’s cartoon and the Raimi trilogy was a former mentor to Peter, Black Cat who usually is a former love interest to Peter, and Venom who attempted to bond with Spider-Man and eventually went to his old coworker and rival Eddie Brock, Parker luck at its finest Sin #29 (Radioactive Semen): LMAO Sin #30 (Stan Lee): Stan Lee has mad a cameo in nearly every form of marvel media to date, including some video games, he’s literally the father of most of marvels popular heroes, he honestly deserves most of the cameo’s he’s in. Rest In Peace Stan Lee, Excelsior Sin #32 (Li’s connection with demons): I can’t remember if he did say he knew what it was or not but it would’ve been more suspicious if he had said he never saw it, Li was a know collector of Chinese artifacts and I believe it was stated in the game that he has a degree for that kinda stuff and it’s not like the mask is rare cause every. Single. Demon member wears one, claiming to know the mask but not know it’s relevance to the current situation in the game was the best move on his part Sin #35 (Otto’s Lawsuit): damn I didn’t think of that…All the whole though it probably would not have been worth it, Yes it was a city funded organization but since Osborn is the Mayor of the city and he had reason to shut it down albeit a bullshit one, Octavius’ chances of winning the lawsuit would’ve been slim, and that’s not even mentioning that fact that he had almost no funding, he couldn’t even pay Peter let alone pay for a good lawyer for a civil court case…although I know a really good lawyer who catches bricks… Sin #41 (Demons lying in wait): at the time Fisk literally owned majority of New York, so much so that if anything posed a threat to his criminal empire he would’ve had it sniffed out almost immediately, There’s even a line in the game where Spider-Man states “Fisk did keep these wannabe pushers in check…” literally anyone that gets in his way won’t make it to see morning Sin #45 (Jeff’s quick switch skills): Jeff plays COD Sin #51 (Jeff’s number): Likely exchanged it after the demon fight Sin #52 (Unknown caller): Fisk was in jail by that point and probably gotten his hands on a burner phone so I’d assume that’s why it was unknown Sin #55 (Spider-Man survives this): yeah…he is Spider-Man Sin #57 (Osborn rally): average day in the marvel universe Sin #67 (Silver Sable): Literally fuck silver sable, you’re right she did Jack shit the entire game except be a nuisance for Spider-Man, she didn’t even do her job and protect Norman Osborn and she just let her men get away with just about anything they wanted, then she left New York and KEPT HER CORRUPT MEN THERE, literally fuck silver sable and fuck sable international Sin #69 (Miles working at F.E.A.S.T): at that point they had no hard evidence or proof that Martin Li was behind it, Peter had his suspicions but had no hard evidence, miles was the only one who actually saw him from what I remember but Martin Li at the time was away for “business” Sin #83 (Devil’s breath): Norman was the true villain in this game I don’t care what anyone says Sin #102 (train scene): yeah that was a reference, not a continuation Sin #106 (Doc Ock’s claws): say what you want but those are by far the coolest I’ve ever seen Doc Ock’s claws look, hands down my favorite Sin #113 (super suits): Typically prisons hold inmates belongings and clothing while they serve their time, in this case it’s dumb cause there’s no way any of these villains can be reformed but it’s pretty accurate to assume that Octavius broke into the Raft and gave the villains their equipment back Sin #114 (Doc’s warning): at the end of the game it’s revealed that he knew Peter was Spider-Man, so one could assume that he would think Peter would let him go given their history Sin #118 (Aunt May is dying): yeah you can’t really call it a cliché when it rarely happens, I saw somewhere in the comments that it only happened like twice in the comics and one of them wasn’t even really aunt May, although there are a lot of Spider-Man comics so there very much could be more but the fact that I’ve never heard of them could also just mean they’re not that popular which again shows how it’s less of a cliché and more of a underused plot point Sin #119 (Spider-Man’s broken bones): although normal people would probably be bedridden or have limited mobility, one of Spider-Man’s powers is durability and accelerated healing so some broken bones wouldn’t really matter much for him I’d imagine Sin #120 (Ryker inmates at F.E.A.S.T): they didn’t expect him to deal with the inmates, they was asking for him to help with evacuation, besides even if she was talking about the inmates Aunt May knew that Peter was Spider-Man so she knows that he could put a stop to it regardless Sin #123 (Otto’s plan): Otto is a super genius with an above average intellect, coming up with a plan this big in less than a day isn’t impossible for him but I will admit it’s highly unlikely, however it’s shown later in the act that Octavius was actually coming up with little plans to sabotage Osborn and the neural interface just gave him the extra push to enact them, I can’t say much for the other villains though considering the only one he had past history with is Martin Li Sin #124 (Icarus): letting him live at the Raft was his warning, had he have listened and stayed out of the way then there would’ve been no need to detonate the bomb, also he never actually said that Icarus was a bomb he just said that it was a ruse to get him into position, not many people know about Spider-Man’s spider sense, if he didn’t have it then he more than likely would’ve been killed but since he had an early warning with his spider sense and above average speed and reaction timing, escaping a bomb wouldn’t be to hard for him Sin #124 (scorpions poison): it would be safe to assume the first time Spider-Man fought scorpion and put him away he developed some sort of antitoxin just in case he fought him again, now that he’s aligned himself with a genius such as Octavius it’s again safe to assume his suit was modified with a more potent toxin Sin #126 (Rhino and Scorpion): If scorpion was just some guy in a suit then I would agree, but Mac Gargan is more than just a green suit, Scorpion also has been a victim of a research experiment which greatly heightened his physical attributes, as far as Rhino’s containment, he’s not a complete wrecking ball, for one he’s busy fighting scorpion inside that container, two he’s gonna need momentum to actually bust through the container which he won’t get most of considering his height and weight and the fact that he’s also trapped with scorpion, and lastly the opening was reinforced with Spider-Man’s webbing which on it’s own can hold back cars or as he displayed earlier in the game helicopters Sin #128 (Osborn’s Helmet): for one reason, he hired Sable international to protect him and guard his building, he more than likely felt that it was secure enough for him to leave lying around, Osborn is a very cocky person who thinks that everything revolves around him leaving equipment that reveals his secrets lying around is actually very much like him
Reached the character limit but as a continuation here you go Sin #129 (Osborn going alone): as stated previously Osborn is very cocky and acts as if he is untouchable, it’s very much like him to act that way despite the city being in complete chaos Sin #131 (silver sable again): God she’s so useless it’s actually pathetic, I hate her Sin #132 (Spider-Man: Miles Morales): Cause Miles is the goat 🐐 Sin #135 (Antivirus): it was a quick last ditch effort after the outbreak of devil’s breath, they would’ve made more if they wasn’t attacked by Mr. Negative beforehand, however I will admit that they should’ve made a antivirus for Devil’s breath when they first found out how dangerous it was instead of waiting till after it got released into New York Sin #137 (still not going to kill you): he actually did almost kill Spider-Man there, don’t know wether or not it was on purpose but he would’ve died had he not have been treated Sin #138 (not a hospital): they were in a research facility not a hospital or care facility, there’s no sufficient medical supplies there to help him, besides even if there was most of it would’ve probably been destroyed in the fight with Martin Li and Octavius Sin #139 (Peter’s surgery): the damage was in his chest, they didn’t need take the mask off to do that, and Peter carried no ID with him as Spider-Man so no he wouldn’t have his identity revealed this way Sin #140 (Anti-Ock suit): as far as how fast he constructed it goes one can assume it was probably a few hours considering the small montage and it was made using the spare parts of the arms him and Octavius invented, as far as the suit power goes that’s actually more useful then you think, instead of running out of gadgets resupply replenishes them instantaneously which is helpful considering you’ll probably use impact webs or web bombs to quickly stun him, the reason you may think it’s useless is because at that point of the game you’ve probably fully upgraded your web shooters which replenish pretty fast on there own and you probably used those for most of the fight, however if this fight was done in the comics a suit that instantly resupplies Peter’s gadgets would go a long way on numerous occasions Sin #141 (OSCORP tower): yeah there’s no actual way of proving that in those hours Octavius was climbing up a tower, there’s the route he took to get there, he’s not Spider-Man who can web swing and be somewhere almost instantly he still has to travel all while being undetected and again, New York is a big place Sin #142 (Didn’t see Norman die): the fact that he dropped Norman and almost immediately afterwards Spider-Man shows up makes it pretty obvious that Spider-Man was there to save him, Octavius is no dummy Sin #144 (duties): the more I think about it the more that line sticks out to me, here we have Octavius defeated and preaching to Spider-Man the example his uncle taught him years ago “with great power comes great responsibility” Octavius and Peter were so much alike before all of this and in a twisted way even as Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus their still very much alike, just one is more twisted than the other, the outcome of this relationship is really sad and moments like this kinda show that Aaand done, this honestly took a while but was fun to do, and no I don’t take much of these “sins” seriously, but a lot of these had obvious explanations to them that I couldn’t help but to include my own tales to them
So May says "Miles MORALES, why does that name sound familiar?" And Pete is like "His dad was Officer Jefferson Davis, from the ceremony..." So how are we connecting Morales and Davis somehow?
That's Parker's luck for ya. But seriously, there's plenty of possible reasons. Maybe the pay simply isn't enough, or not enough hours, Peter's rent is too high ( and that I would know, I live in NYC), etc. And all of that seems likely since Otto has to fight to get funding for this which you see in the game.
Because it, in and of itself, is a cliche of Peter's life. He could win the lottery and have millions of dollars yet he would still somehow live in a shit apartment and have trouble paying his rent.
"Aunt may knew tho" Actually she didn't at that point. She had suspicions. Also if she did know at that point why would she wait until she was literally dying to say nything when she could have told him she knew which is why she called him for help
Peter actually did try to market himself at one point, but couldn't get paid without telling the toy company his identity. It's backpack lore.
@Hot-blooded & Half-German I don't think either Cinema nor Gaming Sins actually focus on the things they play or watch at all.
@Hot-blooded & Half-German you and RetroWell pay more attention than the one who did research for this video. 👏🏼👍🏼
You guys know you can 100% this game in like 3 days right? And the point of these is to do a satirical nitpick of shit?
Noticed that as well. Even made a comment about it but saw yours and deleted mine
He also makes many many mistakes because he wasn't paying attention (or ignores) to the subtlety of the game
Not only that but this game actually killed her off. I don't think there's any other story that's done that. (Or at least didn't get it reversed.) If there's a sequel or trilogy, I have to say that May should stay dead.
She needed a blood transfusion from Peter once in an older story or she would have died, she’s been at death’s door more than twice.
The older character esp a mentor/friend or role model for the hero being killed off is quite cliche.
I dont think it's supposed to be exactly directed at May, I think it's the "Mentor/Loved one is dying cliche"
Sin #56: "Spider-Man survives this."
Probably because he's Spider-Man.
DrPROFESSOR2K05 probably shouldn’t kill him off in his own game

If any of you have seen any other Spider-Man movie you would know that Spider-Man has survived far worse than that
Sin #121 Aunt May said to Peter near the end that she knew he was Spider-Man for a while now. So it's not that unbelievable she would call Peter to deal with escaped inmates. Also, you just can't sin Stan Lee. That was his sweetest cameo ever!!
Hell, that was probably a test to prove her suspicions.
I always thought why May would call Peter to come to F.E.A.S.T. I mean, yes, she needs him, but New York is full of maniacs at the time.
@@RJDavePhin because she cares about him
Alexander Ehrich Of course she does. I'm just saying... with all the escaped Ryker inmates out there, I wondered how she figured he could make it. But that was hinting that she knows he's Spider-Man, well, it all depends on how one sees it.

19: 05 Otto's been planning this since Norman tried to shut the lab down and possibly much longer, if you look around the lab this is obvious. I would have taken a sin off for May actually dying. Considering the shitshow that is ‘One More Day’ it’s good that the game had the balls to follow through
And for it being an emotional moment that really works. I felt so sad watching it.

@Diamond Beau have beat dark souls. Beat bloodborne twice. Witcher 3 was incredible. Wtf does that have to do with Spiderman being a brilliant game?
It's funny how they pick apart Aunt May calling Peter for help in the prison breakout section. As soon as that scene happened I was like 'yeah she knows'. No way would overprotective selfless Aunt May call her nephew to a situation like that if she didn't know he could deal with it, and then we find out later that shes known all along. That was intentional by Insomniac I swear.
15:43 *"this game could be a direct continuation of Sam Rami's Spider-Man movies"*

18:43 but at the end she tells Peter that she knew for a long time that he was Spider-Man
Actually, the hyphen in Spider-Man was a way to help avoid the character being confused with Superman. You know... for legal reasons.
James West wait. You being serious right now?
bcfb21 Yeah. You know how there are so many legal battles between Marvel and DC comics? Just another one of those (though it is one of the dumber ones in my opinion).
James West I mean how do you even get spider mixed up with super?
bcfb21 I'm not sure, but I would way more confused if they said it was to keep people from getting him mixed up with, like, batman.
shouldnt be that with captain marvel?
I think the game made it clear that Ock was a bad guy for years
Ian Kessinger oh wow, I completely missed that i guess. Could you give me an idea as to when it's hinted at?
@@jackmeriustacktheritrix Just walk around the lab after Octavius calls you to work on the neural interface. You can see the needle for Scorpion's tail, Electro's harness, and blueprint of the Prison. Peter even questions Doc about the stuff, I cant remember what he says about the harness and needle but the blueprints he says he got a contract to help improve the security.
@@jackmeriustacktheritrix I didn't catch it until my second playthrough. It's not explicitly said but if you walk through the lab you'll see the villains old suit designs. Peter says something toward the end like you must've thought it was funny designing suits for my enemies while Parker was designing for Spider-Man.

@@MrAnnoyingalperen damn, you shut him down fast😂

15:47 Jesus christ no, how is it a continuation of the Raimi movies when
1. Norman Osborn is still alive
2. Peter uses web shooters and not organic webbing
3. Octavius is still alive, and hasnt become Doc Ock yet.
4. Harry is still alive and isn't consumed by revenge
That line is a wink and nod to Spiderman 2, nothing more.

I am a PERSON That’s what i was thinking, you watch jacksepticeye dontcha?
The suit Peter made at the end was also clearly made from the same material as Octavius's Tentacles, so he's not immediately grabbed and crushed by them, like the part where his Tentacle is starting to crush him on the side of the building after the boss fight.
When has aunt may dying ever been a cliche ?
You missed the point. It's not that Aunt May dying is a cliche. It's the death of Peter's close relative dying that knew he's Spidey is a cliche.
I honestly wonder if he even enjoys the games he plays

Pointing out something that doesn't make sense doesn't excuse the fact that it doesn't make sense.
@@ArsxnIV it points out the fact that the game developers added that “not make sense” on purpose and wasn’t an accident or something that other game developers use to add plot to the game.

Is this dude really saying that making villains sympathetic is a sin? If they were overtly evil, he'd give it a sin for being boring and generic.
No, the sin is that the game makes both the villains sympathetic, they both have the same conflicts with Spider-Man and Peter, which makes their interactions less interesting
"Aunt May is dying cliché"
I'm pretty sure this game is the first time she actually does, so how the heck is it a cliché?

But if he was pushing himself to the limit, then why would he still control like normal gameplay and not a little slower or with additional animations that show he’s weak. The devs forgot about all that and tried to play it out as if he’s pushing himself and could’ve just easily tweaked a few animations to show he’s hurt.
@@nghtspawn651
It makes him a hero because he pushes himself to the limit to save people.
You even have the difference right in front of you and still try to pass your complaint off as legit. lol
And the best part is that I already told you gameplay =/= cutscenes. That means whatever happens in gameplay has no effect on the story. Your entire argument is already weak enough as is because of that, but I still gave you a logical explanation for your own weird conditions.
Am I the only one who noticed that the Mass Effect theme plays while you're solving the puzzle mini-games?
I get that this is all in fun... But how can you not sin Aunt May chopping that carrot...
Spidey quick!! Telltale needs your help!!!
15:43 Yo Pete, you do know that when it “worked last time”, your webs broke off like 3 times before you finally got it, right?
I’ll just tell him in the words of Luke Skywalker, every word of what you just said was wrong
@Diamond Beau it's happened like twice in the comics and never in the movies, do you know what a cliche is?
Actually Aunt May has been killed off more than once. Twice in fact. The first time was one of the most beautifully written Spider-Man stories of all time, and unfortunately they undid it when they chose between bringing her back or MJ giving birth. They killed off Peter and MJ's unborn daughter to bring back Aunt May. God that was a terrible story.
Aunt May almost dying is a cliche. Actually following through and committing to it, is a subversion.
@@megelizabeth9492 ignore that, i only read what was the notif and replied to that
He sure was wrong, had to make a whole to retort all this guys inaccuracies.
He was joking about the radioactive thing clearly.
Shadow I know, however most people believe this to be true, just clarification
Hiccup Parker but they should clearly see it as a joke.
17:47 as I pointed out on GCN's video HE DOESN'T! he knows Peter isn't going to listen to him!
Next to nothing in fact, negating this videos existence. But, that's why this retort exists:
ruclips.net/video/AlwY6PvhNl0/видео.html
I disagree with all of this, and the amazing spider man comic is a Easter egg, nothing more
Also in photomode there is a frame of the comic you can use to make sick screen shots. Have a vid on my channel, if you've never seen how that works.
Also he literally says in the game that he doesn’t make money off of these products because then he would need to reveal his true identity to collect royalties so he probably just bought the comic. This video is stupid.
Mark Morales agreed man
Damn ppl takes videos like this a bit to seriously
@@t-bone4760 merely pointing his BS criticism is not taking it too seriously. It's not like this is a humor style genre of video. He's criticizing and people are responding appropriately because most of what he says is bullshit.
That whole “it was because of the radioactive semen right?!” Is even more funny when there’s a whole graphic novel devoted to how Spider-Man killed MJ slowly overtime due to radioactive exposure from his sperm that gives her cancer
Aunt May was asking Peter for help because she knew he was Spider-Man.
Yeah the real sin should be that Pete doesn't figure out that she knows it's him.
Hidden Leaf Drip here’s a man with logic
You know what the real sin here is? The FOUR adverts I had to get through to watch this!
22:35 what do you mean? Web gadgets are the only way you can defeat Dr Octopus...
Don't try to make logic. He doesn't know half of what he's talking about in this video.
This man wants so badly to be cinema sins
true
Adding a sin counter for everything that can be easily explained
Sin #2 (Spider-Man comics): although he had a point with the Spider-Man comics in his room it’s clear as day that it was just a nod to the original Spider-Man comics which shaped the character and offer no relevance to the story, however if Spider-Man comics did exist in that world considering no one knows the identity of Spider-Man other than a select few people his origin story would be completely cut out from the comics
Sin #11 (Kingpin’s escape): aye New York is a big place, and he was getting in a helicopter so one could assume he was going out of New York or out of the country even, not really and issue here
Sin #12 (super hero movies): more than likely they would be based off real events like how they made a musical about the first avengers movie in Hawkeye, also I saw a comment in this comment section that explained why he couldn’t market Himself so I’ll just briefly put no Identity, no money Spider-Man has a very strict secret identity rule
Sin #12 (Tons of concrete): I feel like a lot of people forget this but one of Spider-Man’s powers is super strength, him lifting fallen debris isn’t that hard for him especially if he is doing things like stopping cars
Sin #17 (Commissioner Yuri): yeah you’re right…for the time being, just play the last two DLC stories
Sin #19 (Spider-Man costume): yeah no..that lie would not work for several reasons, two of the obvious are 1, he’s in a tech lab where his suit is laid out by a bunch of tools and gadgets no one who’s designing a costume for Halloween would go through all of that, and 2 why there in the first place? He could’ve easily designed that at home but he did it in a tech lab, besides Otto is a VERY smart person, even if Peter said the it’s a Halloween costume lie Octavius would’ve obviously know he was lying
Sin #20 (Otto and Li): while I agree with the playing coy with Otto I disagree with the assumption that they just blew his origin off by saying “oh it’s just a brain implant”. That is quite literally how Octavius became Doctor octopus, although it wasn’t his original Origin in the comics popular iterations of Doctor Octopus involve a brain chip making him aggressive and driving him crazy. Me personally this is my favorite origin of Doc Ock for the other sin
Sin #21 (Parker Luck): one of my favorite aspects of Spider-Man is the fact that most of his villains have a personal connection to Peter Parker wether major or minor, popular examples are green goblin who is the father of his best friend, Doctor Octopus who in the 90’s cartoon and the Raimi trilogy was a former mentor to Peter, Black Cat who usually is a former love interest to Peter, and Venom who attempted to bond with Spider-Man and eventually went to his old coworker and rival Eddie Brock, Parker luck at its finest
Sin #29 (Radioactive Semen): LMAO
Sin #30 (Stan Lee): Stan Lee has mad a cameo in nearly every form of marvel media to date, including some video games, he’s literally the father of most of marvels popular heroes, he honestly deserves most of the cameo’s he’s in.
Rest In Peace Stan Lee, Excelsior
Sin #32 (Li’s connection with demons): I can’t remember if he did say he knew what it was or not but it would’ve been more suspicious if he had said he never saw it, Li was a know collector of Chinese artifacts and I believe it was stated in the game that he has a degree for that kinda stuff and it’s not like the mask is rare cause every. Single. Demon member wears one, claiming to know the mask but not know it’s relevance to the current situation in the game was the best move on his part
Sin #35 (Otto’s Lawsuit): damn I didn’t think of that…All the whole though it probably would not have been worth it, Yes it was a city funded organization but since Osborn is the Mayor of the city and he had reason to shut it down albeit a bullshit one, Octavius’ chances of winning the lawsuit would’ve been slim, and that’s not even mentioning that fact that he had almost no funding, he couldn’t even pay Peter let alone pay for a good lawyer for a civil court case…although I know a really good lawyer who catches bricks…
Sin #41 (Demons lying in wait): at the time Fisk literally owned majority of New York, so much so that if anything posed a threat to his criminal empire he would’ve had it sniffed out almost immediately, There’s even a line in the game where Spider-Man states “Fisk did keep these wannabe pushers in check…” literally anyone that gets in his way won’t make it to see morning
Sin #45 (Jeff’s quick switch skills): Jeff plays COD
Sin #51 (Jeff’s number): Likely exchanged it after the demon fight
Sin #52 (Unknown caller): Fisk was in jail by that point and probably gotten his hands on a burner phone so I’d assume that’s why it was unknown
Sin #55 (Spider-Man survives this): yeah…he is Spider-Man
Sin #57 (Osborn rally): average day in the marvel universe
Sin #67 (Silver Sable): Literally fuck silver sable, you’re right she did Jack shit the entire game except be a nuisance for Spider-Man, she didn’t even do her job and protect Norman Osborn and she just let her men get away with just about anything they wanted, then she left New York and KEPT HER CORRUPT MEN THERE, literally fuck silver sable and fuck sable international
Sin #69 (Miles working at F.E.A.S.T): at that point they had no hard evidence or proof that Martin Li was behind it, Peter had his suspicions but had no hard evidence, miles was the only one who actually saw him from what I remember but Martin Li at the time was away for “business”
Sin #83 (Devil’s breath): Norman was the true villain in this game I don’t care what anyone says
Sin #102 (train scene): yeah that was a reference, not a continuation
Sin #106 (Doc Ock’s claws): say what you want but those are by far the coolest I’ve ever seen Doc Ock’s claws look, hands down my favorite
Sin #113 (super suits): Typically prisons hold inmates belongings and clothing while they serve their time, in this case it’s dumb cause there’s no way any of these villains can be reformed but it’s pretty accurate to assume that Octavius broke into the Raft and gave the villains their equipment back
Sin #114 (Doc’s warning): at the end of the game it’s revealed that he knew Peter was Spider-Man, so one could assume that he would think Peter would let him go given their history
Sin #118 (Aunt May is dying): yeah you can’t really call it a cliché when it rarely happens, I saw somewhere in the comments that it only happened like twice in the comics and one of them wasn’t even really aunt May, although there are a lot of Spider-Man comics so there very much could be more but the fact that I’ve never heard of them could also just mean they’re not that popular which again shows how it’s less of a cliché and more of a underused plot point
Sin #119 (Spider-Man’s broken bones): although normal people would probably be bedridden or have limited mobility, one of Spider-Man’s powers is durability and accelerated healing so some broken bones wouldn’t really matter much for him I’d imagine
Sin #120 (Ryker inmates at F.E.A.S.T): they didn’t expect him to deal with the inmates, they was asking for him to help with evacuation, besides even if she was talking about the inmates Aunt May knew that Peter was Spider-Man so she knows that he could put a stop to it regardless
Sin #123 (Otto’s plan): Otto is a super genius with an above average intellect, coming up with a plan this big in less than a day isn’t impossible for him but I will admit it’s highly unlikely, however it’s shown later in the act that Octavius was actually coming up with little plans to sabotage Osborn and the neural interface just gave him the extra push to enact them, I can’t say much for the other villains though considering the only one he had past history with is Martin Li
Sin #124 (Icarus): letting him live at the Raft was his warning, had he have listened and stayed out of the way then there would’ve been no need to detonate the bomb, also he never actually said that Icarus was a bomb he just said that it was a ruse to get him into position, not many people know about Spider-Man’s spider sense, if he didn’t have it then he more than likely would’ve been killed but since he had an early warning with his spider sense and above average speed and reaction timing, escaping a bomb wouldn’t be to hard for him
Sin #124 (scorpions poison): it would be safe to assume the first time Spider-Man fought scorpion and put him away he developed some sort of antitoxin just in case he fought him again, now that he’s aligned himself with a genius such as Octavius it’s again safe to assume his suit was modified with a more potent toxin
Sin #126 (Rhino and Scorpion): If scorpion was just some guy in a suit then I would agree, but Mac Gargan is more than just a green suit, Scorpion also has been a victim of a research experiment which greatly heightened his physical attributes, as far as Rhino’s containment, he’s not a complete wrecking ball, for one he’s busy fighting scorpion inside that container, two he’s gonna need momentum to actually bust through the container which he won’t get most of considering his height and weight and the fact that he’s also trapped with scorpion, and lastly the opening was reinforced with Spider-Man’s webbing which on it’s own can hold back cars or as he displayed earlier in the game helicopters
Sin #128 (Osborn’s Helmet): for one reason, he hired Sable international to protect him and guard his building, he more than likely felt that it was secure enough for him to leave lying around, Osborn is a very cocky person who thinks that everything revolves around him leaving equipment that reveals his secrets lying around is actually very much like him
Reached the character limit but as a continuation here you go
Sin #129 (Osborn going alone): as stated previously Osborn is very cocky and acts as if he is untouchable, it’s very much like him to act that way despite the city being in complete chaos
Sin #131 (silver sable again): God she’s so useless it’s actually pathetic, I hate her
Sin #132 (Spider-Man: Miles Morales): Cause Miles is the goat 🐐
Sin #135 (Antivirus): it was a quick last ditch effort after the outbreak of devil’s breath, they would’ve made more if they wasn’t attacked by Mr. Negative beforehand, however I will admit that they should’ve made a antivirus for Devil’s breath when they first found out how dangerous it was instead of waiting till after it got released into New York
Sin #137 (still not going to kill you): he actually did almost kill Spider-Man there, don’t know wether or not it was on purpose but he would’ve died had he not have been treated
Sin #138 (not a hospital): they were in a research facility not a hospital or care facility, there’s no sufficient medical supplies there to help him, besides even if there was most of it would’ve probably been destroyed in the fight with Martin Li and Octavius
Sin #139 (Peter’s surgery): the damage was in his chest, they didn’t need take the mask off to do that, and Peter carried no ID with him as Spider-Man so no he wouldn’t have his identity revealed this way
Sin #140 (Anti-Ock suit): as far as how fast he constructed it goes one can assume it was probably a few hours considering the small montage and it was made using the spare parts of the arms him and Octavius invented, as far as the suit power goes that’s actually more useful then you think, instead of running out of gadgets resupply replenishes them instantaneously which is helpful considering you’ll probably use impact webs or web bombs to quickly stun him, the reason you may think it’s useless is because at that point of the game you’ve probably fully upgraded your web shooters which replenish pretty fast on there own and you probably used those for most of the fight, however if this fight was done in the comics a suit that instantly resupplies Peter’s gadgets would go a long way on numerous occasions
Sin #141 (OSCORP tower): yeah there’s no actual way of proving that in those hours Octavius was climbing up a tower, there’s the route he took to get there, he’s not Spider-Man who can web swing and be somewhere almost instantly he still has to travel all while being undetected and again, New York is a big place
Sin #142 (Didn’t see Norman die): the fact that he dropped Norman and almost immediately afterwards Spider-Man shows up makes it pretty obvious that Spider-Man was there to save him, Octavius is no dummy
Sin #144 (duties): the more I think about it the more that line sticks out to me, here we have Octavius defeated and preaching to Spider-Man the example his uncle taught him years ago “with great power comes great responsibility” Octavius and Peter were so much alike before all of this and in a twisted way even as Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus their still very much alike, just one is more twisted than the other, the outcome of this relationship is really sad and moments like this kinda show that
Aaand done, this honestly took a while but was fun to do, and no I don’t take much of these “sins” seriously, but a lot of these had obvious explanations to them that I couldn’t help but to include my own tales to them
Holy cow man, how long did this take to type
@@abominalchicken976 a long ass time actually lol
@@EnigmaRising lol, I just beat the game today and saw this video in my recommend, I bought the dlc from gamestop but they didn't give me it

So May says "Miles MORALES, why does that name sound familiar?" And Pete is like "His dad was Officer Jefferson Davis, from the ceremony..."
So how are we connecting Morales and Davis somehow?
How in the hell is Peter unable to afford rent if he's the assistant of what is essentially a statefunded scientist
He also uses his money on spidey tech
Because it, in and of itself, is a cliche of Peter's life. He could win the lottery and have millions of dollars yet he would still somehow live in a shit apartment and have trouble paying his rent.
@@titilolaojelabi7281 right, that too. He also probably spends on material for his webbing fluid.
I love how everyone feels they’re so clever for pointing out TS as Tony Stark but gloss over the RR Reed Richards Easter egg in the same scene 👀
12:20 He clearly says "It would be bad form..." however, the subtitles clearly read "I would be bad form..." *Ding.*

I was hoping for a sin removed when MJ tells Spider-Man to go pick up Peter's clothes off her kitchen floor.
"Aunt may knew tho"
Actually she didn't at that point. She had suspicions. Also if she did know at that point why would she wait until she was literally dying to say nything when she could have told him she knew which is why she called him for help
