    My friend Lucas bought some Ground Control camber plates and wanted to install them on his 2019 BMW M2 Competition, so he brought it over and we filmed it. Hope it helps!

    you can get to those two nuts by the windsheild wiper by removing those black caps with a pry tool.

    Thoughts on the possibility of reusing the oem 18mm strut top nut? I just don’t understand why ground control includes a 22mm and now I have to source a new pass through socket...

    • @HelpMeDIY
      @HelpMeDIY  4 года назад

      +Stanislav Kovtun if the threads are the same I don’t know why not 🤷‍♂️

    • @hotmetal5
      @hotmetal5 4 года назад +1

      Help Me DIY theoretically the threads are from the strut spindle so it’s gotta be the same pattern on the new 22mm nut that ground control supplies with the camber plates

    • @HelpMeDIY
      @HelpMeDIY  4 года назад

      +Stanislav Kovtun yeah... I guess unless the hole in the center of the camber plate is wider and requires a wider nut? I would call GroundControl and ask. They are pretty responsive (even though I don’t like their product for my M4)

    I noticed that you did not remove the spring perch bearing from OEM guide support and install it on the new camber plates so that spring has a nice seat and it acts a shake absorber.

    Those two circular black grommets below the wiper allow you to get o the bolts - no need to remove the wiper. Will save some time in the future and less work. Great vid though.

    Own the same car with a CarBahn Stage 1 tune (572/576 Hp/Trq) is FAR FROM STOCK. Chassis requires larger contact patch because it spins in 1st/2nd/3rd unless you leave MDM on which is not the purpose of this car.

    why dont you just take out the insurts in the panel in stead of removing the wiper?

    • @HelpMeDIY
      @HelpMeDIY  4 года назад

      +GTI Clubsport S to give the panel enough clearance to get a wrench under. You could possibly get away without it, but since I already had the right tools figured I would show everyone just in case.

      @@HelpMeDIY i understandwhat you did but you can remove the 2 caps out of the panel very easy which give you acces to the bolts

    22:30 - If you have one, a crow’s foot wrench could work for torquing the nut and providing clearance for another tool to hold the strut shaft.
