I just got a large sample of this for a north facing living room with Arizona sandstone hearth. It seems perfect, but also looks nice in a south facing bedroom. Navajo white looked straight up dirty yellow on wall painted as a sample.
Love your videos. The comparisons really help. Which BM colors, of similar LRV to White Down, do you suggest for warm brown wood floor that have reddish undertones?
Is it just me or is the lighting off she. Jacob compares the color swatches? Very hard to see color differences in the lighting he used. But I appreciate his tutorials!
For painting against stained wood, what would be an example of a more "muted" cream color? After watching this, I now don't think I know what "creamier" means 😅. Paint color is so hard!!
Could you please analyze BM Capri Coast? Also, sometimes people have the pigments doubled to make the paint “richer”. Is that helpful? Thanks for another great color analysis. 😎
You mentioned White Down might look too creamy if paired with a dark wood or wood with cherry hues. What if my flooring is a light brown (Logan Pass Montana Plank, Becjham Brothers) but one of the planks has a purple/pink undertone? I worry white down might look too yellow, but looking for something to pair with cloud white cupboards....
I painted my LR white down- it’s much too yellow adjacent to my Shoreline painted foyer and Seapearl painted FR. I’m thinking of repainting them Dove White .
Painted a west facing bedroom white down and it's soft and creamy, just perfect. Then I painted our south and east facing sunroom white down and again it's soft and gentle, without noticeable yellow coloring. Next I tried white down in our north facing entry area where surprisingly, it looks like a soft griege putty color! I love this color:-)

We're thinking of doing white down on our single cathedral oak cabinets. Our home is primarily painted BM gray owl
Loving your page 💖 your voice is so calm.
Thank you for your kind words and I wish you the best:)

Can you please do a video on Benjamin Moore Light Pewter?
Will add it to the list of videos - thank you 😊

BM Capri Coast is beautiful:) Will do! Not a fan of doubling pigments as it changes the undertone.

How does steam pair with Chantilly lace as a trim ? Is simply white better?
How does it compare to dove wing ? I put up dove wing and looks like I had primer on my walls 😢
That’s funny, I have white down in my east facing LE and it’s waaayyyy to yellow- I was thinking of repainting it with Dove wing- a lighter greige
@@pensivern We painted Dove Wing on a test board and it leans yellowish. We chose something else.
What’s is your experience with Benjamin Moore White Down?
