I have this in my living and dining rooms. It is a great neutral. It definitely shows a teeny bit of a purple-grey in northern lights, but I would say expect a soft, non-warm cream in sunlight and incandescent light. But you really have to take a look at what an actual dove wing looks like. There are a couple of shades in there!
Don't worry! It's not enough to read "purple," but if you have a darker room, if someone were to ask you what colors you detect other than cream, grey and a teensy drop of a purplish grey might come to mind. But will it read purple and affect your decor? Not at all. It's lovely, and it goes well with both warm colored furnishings and cool, like the blues and light greens that I have in my room.
@@MizJilly Thank you for helping me! I have Northern/Eastern exposure but a lot of light from large windows. My accent colors will be blues and greens as well. I have sampled many colors and all of them look so different than what I expected in the space. So far Seapearl and Dove Wing seem to look the best.
@@amandaadams2742 That's so funny - I have Sea Pearl in my entry hallway (which is bright with Southern-facing windows) and didn't realize till I saw a video on the Paint People channel that Dove Wing and Sea Pearl have almost the same formula. I suppose this is why I have the same nail polish color in eight different brands! LOL You'll probably like either in your room.
This is a really intriguing color for my daughter's bedroom. It's south-facing and she has pink and gold textiles in her room, but I don't like beige, so I've been looking for something that leans warm without yelling yellow in that southern light. The main color in our house is Anew Gray - SW. I'll have to add it to my sample list!
Do you think dove wing in a kitchen next to stark white cabinets and quarts would work? If not maybe I can do pale oak in the kitchen and I will all blend?
Curious to compare Dove Wing w/ SW Accessible Beige. I'm looking for something such as a creamy very light beige/greige (not gray). Not interested in visible yellows, green, blue, purple, pink undertones. The room gets mostly West daylight (minimal south). A nice contrast to a white baseboard but subtle. Warm interior colors (sage, dark hardwood flooring, beige tone stone large fire place wall & dark navy area rug w/ bits of jewel tones). Open to suggestions. Thx for sharing! Can I just say, YES on your tone used in this video. Kudos if it is intentional! It keeps the viewer interested. Nice and calm but engaging. Well done!
Dove Wing works well with a lot of the Affinity colors as does Edgecomb grey. If you wanted to go a little bit lighter than Edgecomb then Dove Wing works!
I’m trying to decide between dove white and Dove Wing for my kitchen cabinets I have a north facing kitchen. I prefer to see more grey than yellow. What would you suggest?
Hi! I love your channel! Do you have any videos for paint colors for homes that water side? Looking for a neutral color for my lake home. The water affects the color.
Nice to hear from you and thank you for the kind words:) I don't have any videos focusing on the water side. It's hard to give you the answer you're looking for without any visuals of your interior design or fixed elements. If your experiencing washout I recommend going warmer with more shade.
I just went all in on Dove wing for main house - living dining kitchen and foyer … hoping it doesn’t look too white and contrasts from the white ceiling
Hi! I love it as a main house color. I’m struggling now trying to paint my bedrooms something with more color. I did see salt in one bedroom and agreeable gray and another. I guess I could’ve went with any kind of gray now I am trying to decide between my laundry room, and my master bedroom but I am thinking about using Dovewing in there, too just because of how cleanand classy it looks
I love your videos! Thank you! ❤ I have painted my adjoining lounge/diner in classic gray and am finding it too grey/dark in the dining end because it gets less actual sky light despite being south facing. 😩 I am thinking of repainting the dining end in something lighter as it looks darker and greyer in there due to the roof outside the window that blocks the sky. Should I go for classic gray lightned or dove wing or seapearl? What would best match the classic gray as they are adjoining rooms (with same carpet) they obviously need to work well together. Huge thanks for any advice. It's been costly. 😩
Hi Jacob-I really enjoy watching your channel! I have a living/kitchen combo. The kitchen cabinets is that orange looking wood cabinets (which I'm plan on repainting) I have oatmeal dining chairs & a oyster sectional (they look alike in color) what color should i use for the walls/kitchen cabinets, the floors are dark brown. will it be okay to paint the cabinets White Dove and the walls Dove wing? There is a lot of natural light though out that area. Thank you Love your videos :)
How do you feel about Dove Wing on Cabinets when the walls and trim are Simply White? SW on the cabinets is too stark in the kitchen and I want a softer off-white that doesn't look dingy, dirty or yellow. Thank you! I love your videos
Hi, I want to use Dove Wing to my kitchen cabinet. And I think paint on myy wall color with SW Natural Linen or BM Bone White. Do you think it's good match together? :)
Hi there:) Color matching BM paint is not recommended because the paint colors are generated with their own chemical called Genex. The other paint companies will not be able to provide the exact color. The undertones will be unpredictable. I say this to you because I don’t want you to make a mistake and to be informed of why color matching BM products is not advised. Hope this helps you.

Hi, so there is a purple ish undertone? I am looking at this color but am sensitive to this undertone.

I love Dove Wing as a more saturated version of White Dove. It pairs well with BMs Simply White.
@@modbyarturo thanks for sharing your experience.
Can you please do a video on SW Marshmallow?! One of my favorite designers uses it and there’s not a lot of info about it out there
I know Sherwin Williams Marshmallow well. Beautiful paint color:) I will add SW Marshmallow to the list!
Excellent
Dove Wing on walls and Oxford White trim👍🏼
@@MaggieStein-rq5gs I’m happy for you:)

Dove Wing is a griege as White Dove is warm off white with yellow undertones. Based strictly on your question without any visuals go with Dove Wing.
How did it turn out? I’m considering dove wing for kitchen cabinets in north room too

What do you think of Benjamin Moore Dove Wing? What paint color would you like me to do a future paint color review?
SW Greek Villa, Snowbound, Alabaster and Westhighland White for exteriors / interiors

How do you like Dove Wings walls with White Dove trim?
I was thinking of doing this as well. Did you ever get an answer?
