I want you to know that I love your channel. It's good and wholesome...it is extremely nice to see someone so excited about design and color. There are so few places to go where peace abounds..thank you!
I just painted my home seapearl all over to sell it. I LOVE THIS COLOR! It is light and airy, warm, and a true greige. Not too gray or beige. Better yet, it stays the same color all day. I’ve always had problems with paint colors in this house because it has enormous windows and constantly shifting sunlight. Wall colors change hourly, sometimes in not a good way. One room I painted a lovely Sage. As the day progressed it became dirty olive green or even turquoise. This color is pretty regardless of the lighting. The house sold the first weekend, I think in part because it made the house look so clean and bright.
I just used dove wing for a main house color but now I’m not sure after seeing it on dining room so far it seems really light under light and doesn’t do tests with the white ceiling enough? The lighting is bad in my new house - wanted to use for foyer , living, dining, kitchen .. sea Pearl seems a little deepe ? Anyone else with dove wing ?
@@thepaintpeople I love it so much, I want to stare at the walls in that room all day lol. It’s really interesting how it pulls differently with the light. Hoping to use it again in a more central space in my main house.
Have you seen this color used on kitchen cabinets. I have a dark kitchen with a North facing large Bay window? I currently have Cotten balls but I want something a little more off white.. Thank You Jilly…. Do you see an off white vibe in your north facing room? I am probably going with white Dove but I was hoping for a tad more off white into Greige. Ugh I can’t commit to my cabinet people.. I am too old for this stress 😂
You're so great at breaking down these paint colors. Can you do one on Whisper White by Behr? I'm loving it but love to hear your thoughts and ideas. Thank you!!!
Do seapearl and dove wing have the same undertones? I'm painting a room adjacent to an edgecombe gray room and I have Sherwin-Williams pure white trim. I was going to get the dove wing until I stumbled upon this. Maybe the slightly darker version will better contrast with the trim?
I painted most of my house seapearl to sell it. I did the primary bedroom in edgecome gray, on the advice of the painter- the bedroom was a moderately dark and saturated blue and by using the slightly darker color, we were able to cover the blue with 2 coats instead of 3. The colors do play very well together. I love the seapearl but would repaint the edgecome gray, if I was staying in the house- a bit too gray for my tastes and changes color more that the seapearl does with changes in lighting.
So I have a question I’m painting my house Rockport Gray, and I saw a photo online where the shutters were seapearl It looked really pretty. What are your thoughts on those two colors together?
I painted The outside of my brick home with Romabio in Seapearl after testing out others because I didn’t want it to be to bright of a white and I used simply white on my trim and I’m in love ♥️
I searched for Seapearl reviews on YT months ago when I painted a south-facing hallway and found nothing, so thanks for this! I did use that color and Trimmed it in Chantilly lace and love it. It does have a super light yellowish tone in sunlight. In no sun/incandescent lighting, it's a very light whitish beige. Fast forward to this morning when I'm hunting for a dining room color (north facing, slight west light in late afternoon) and settle on Dove Wing with this "Wow! This is so perfect, where has this color been all my life?" Thanks for letting me know i just about picked the same color as my hallway! LOL UPDATE: Peeps, Dove Wing is tricky!! it can be cream, greyish, and horrors! - purple or pinkish depending on the light. And when I say "the light" my north-facing room went from purplish to cream in one hour this morning. Seapearl is far more stable in different lights.
I discovered today that BM Seapearl & China White are the same color. From BM’s page for Seapearl OC-19, “Also Known As Seapearl 961 • china white I-74 • China White OC-141 • China White PM-20”
Interesting video. I noticed a subtle green in Seapearl right away. Loved the Gray Mirage...more my taste with the bit of taupe in it. I like Seapearl more than Dove Wing as I see a subtle grey in Seapearl to balance out the yellow tone.
I painted some trim on the exterior of my home (west facing) it looked too yellow. So I've primed that out and still on the hunt for a good color. Any suggestions? The roof is metal is ash gray and the stucco is darker brown.
I painted my living room and I’m working on painting my kitchen in Dove Wing, I am obsessed with it! Every time I see someone asking for a paint recommendation that’s light and not gray this is it. I am doing a board and batten wall in Evergreen Fog with Dove Wing on the top. I have planned on using Simply White as a trim color, what do you think of this combo?

You ROCK! I so love ( and need ) this high level of nuance and education on the Off whites!
Thank you!👨🎨
Hi, we are using Seapearl as a whole house color and would lake to incorporate some sage colors. Any recommendations?

Great timing! I’m using Seapearl in a rec room that gets 2 sides exposure very soon and really looking forward to it!
How did it go?! :D

If I wanted to do my exterior sea pearl, what much darker color would you recommend?
Hi James, Could you please review Fossil AF-65 by Benjamin Moore? I would love to hear your thoughts on this colour. :)
Have you seen this color used on kitchen cabinets.

Hi Jilly, yes Dove Wing can be tricky, but I like to think of it like a mood ring, sometimes it's fun to change up the vibe! Haha!
@@thepaintpeople LOL! True, and it has grown on me because of that!

They are! Bit of a re-brand I guess!
What about Cloud white for the ceiling and trim paired with Seapearl painted on the wall?
That’s what I have and it’s great!
Super helpful!
Would bm white cloud trim work with seapearl?

What color did you end up going with?
We’re looking at Soji white for a south facing exterior paint.
Love to watch.

Exactly, it’s a wonderful choice!
I’ve painted my formal living room Dove Wing and I love it!!
Compared to Strands of Pearls by Benjamin Moore what do you think?
The brightness difference is immediately obvious, why would people complain. Sheesh
Good karma? How did I not know this? 😁🌿🦋
Sea Pearl with an accent wall of Tarrytown zgreen
I love seapearl
I need a neutral light cream/beige color with rosy pink undertone.. any suggestions?
You might like AF-45 Collectors item. I have it on my trim and it has a very subtle pink undertone.
BM Atrium White has slightly rosy tones.
@@switzerbelle sorry what is the brand?
