Hey guys! Here is a new History of Jurassic Park video dedicated to the underrated Parasaurolophus! This may be one of my favorite herbivorous dinosaurs and its DEFINITELY my favorite hadrosaur! Now in Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 this animal has made some really cool appearances and it even has two appearances in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well! Michael Crichton even added it into the novel series after the moving in herds scene became iconic in the first movie. Like oh by golly thats just the coolest thing on this entire planet! :D Развлечения

I think Parasaurolophus has appeared so much because they make fantastic "interesting background" dinosaurs that won't eat the cast!
They honked in real life
I always liked the idea of multiple hadrosaur species coexisting to form a herd, it's always interested me...
Joseph Brunoro-Beilman it's always struck me as a reason for the crests - species identification in mixed herds. Parasaurolophus coexisting with Hypacrasaurus for instance. Later the unidentified Lambeosaurine from Hell Creek coexisting with Edmontosaurus.
I wouldn't put it past hadrosaurs, they probably did it as grazing herbivores in Africa do today.
Leila Smith convergent evolution.
Thats why I mix them in Jurassic World Evolution.
The one with the pompadour, the Elvis
The fat head with the bald spot, Friar Tuck.
Say that again roland a what?
Elvis was meant to be corythosaurus
@@joshuagonzalez3099 no.
When I was really young (before I found Jurassic Park), I had a picture book of dinosaurs, and I asked my grandmother to paint some of the pages onto my bedroom walls. There were tyrannosaurs, maiasaurs, raptors, and yes, even a herd of parasaurs. They have always been my favorite, and they will never not be my favorite.
Parasauros are my favorite dinosaur too
Same! 😄
I really like parasaurolophs.Ther so interesting and the fact that we know what sounds they would make and that there was soft tissue around it's crest makes the one of the most studied dinosaurs out there.
Honestly, I wish Parasaurs would’ve gotten a bigger role in the movies cuz they’re my favorite herbivorous dinosaur. I just feel like they’re majestic looking as hell and I love it
I mean you have to love this Dinosaur! Just looks at it's face! It's adorable.
John Cena You’re becoming Justin Y.
John Cena couldn’t agree more!
I love the Parasaurs in this franchise, and leading up to JW:FK, was worried they might have gone extinct, since they weren't in the trailers. Spoilers! Fortunately, they appeared on the island, and escaping the estate. I think my favorite rendition is obviously Lost World's, which I have a (necessary) large herd in Evolution.
Raptorus77 In my park on tacano I have a huge enclosure with about ten of these and 3 brachiosaurs. Reminds me of that iconic scene in jp 1 whenever I visit it and it always makes me so happy!
Yes some did escape into the Northern California forest. Spoilers
Same i love the lost world and i always make an enclosure full of them in every one of my parks in evolution
The Parasaurolophus is my second favorite planteating dinosaur directly after the Amargasaurus, there is just something about the "horn" on its head that makes this animal such a beautiful creature. I love the fact that it was included in every single JP movie as well as in the 2 JW movies, I hope we'll see it again in JW3
I wish the Parasaurolophus will get more screen time, and the Parasaurolophus is very underated.
Love seeing the success my dude. Keep up the good work!
It's 4
@Lyle Gentleman epic
The round up scene was amazing. I like how even though the Parasaurolophus was tranqued it still defended from the hunters before they finally subdued it
I always loved how Roland Tembo refereed to the Parasaurolophus as "Elvis" while he nicknamed the Pachycephalosaurus "Friar Tuck" for obvious reasons. Lol!
I think they can give the Parasaurs a bit more screentime. Thanks for the great content Klayton! This is definitely my favourite channel on RUclips!!
Wow! Thank you! :D
I can't believe I only just found your channel last night thanks to a friend suggesting it. Lots of great Jurassic Park content, and I love these videos about the history of each dino in the franchise!
The Parasaurolophus was also in Kenner's die-cast metal mini lines for the first Jurassic Park, although it was labelled as a "Hadrosaurus." I guess to save room on the cardboard packaging?
AHHHH Thats right! I'm not sure why its called that actually haha
I really like Parasaurolophus from Paris in Dinosaur King but it will never invade the place in my heart held by Pachycephalosaurus(if your curious it's because of it's episode in the same show).
Matthew Sinclair i remember that show. Used to watch it all the time.
I loved the color choice they made for Paris in that show
Yessss omg
History of the Ankylosaurus Jurassic Park
Loved that dino since the movie came out thanks man for letting me know what the name of that dino is thanks klayton
Thank YOU for watching! :D
Ramon Rios how can you not know that it's called Parasaurolphus...
I like it's appearance in Jurassic Park the most, despite it's minimal time. I like how understated and just... there in the distance it is. It made it more believable. I still love it in the other movies, and I love it's fight in Jurassic World.
YAS! One of my favourite herbivores!! *The..the one with the big red horn! THE POMPADOUR! .....ELVIS!*
Parasaurolophus is my all-time favourite dinosaur species since years before the first Jurassic Park film.
I love it because of it's strange head crest and it's gentle looking appearance.
I like the Parasaurolphus, it's one of my favourite herbivorous dinosaurs, and it's also my Dads favourite dinosaur
Hey dude, love your videos. I think I’ve watched more than 50 in the last week! Can’t get enough of the in-depth Dino-knowledge! Also loving Jurassic World Evolutions and the new movie. Keep it up mate, great work!
I always thought Parasaurs were cool, especially because of the Hunt scene. And its toys were decent.
Yeah when they tripped it to fall on the ground, the camera goes back to Malcom and the others to show that it's a cruel thing InGen was doing. The parasaur's inclusion in this and the lake scene of JP1 actually make it one of the most powerfully represented dinosaurs in the franchise.
One of my favorites for sure. Loved the TLW toy (and the baby one that came with Tim!) back in the day. Was excited when I saw it in Fallen Kingdom since I knew it was one of the few to be in every film. Thanks for the video, Klayton.
Top para fan right here. It's my all time favorite herbivore. I'm even writing a book about a family of them, in the spirit of Raptor Red. #1 right here.
That sounds awesome! :D
Your spoiler review on jurassic world fallen kingdom, is 6th on trending !! Well done kalyton, great video as always too!!
Thank you! :D
Parasaurolophus has always been my personal favorite. Great video!
The cry of the Parasaur has always intimidated me more than the Rex roar. You may find that weird at first, but the Rex's roar is that of a prideful and grand boom, while the Parasaur's cry sounds like its screaming in confused pain and fear, especially since it cries when it runs away from something. That captured fear in the sound really raises my hairs, and it doesn't graceful at all.
Parasaurolophus is honestly my favorite dinosaur. It just has this certain beauty to it.
I really like these history videos. Keep up the good work👍
The sounds it makes in the lost world are etched in my mind
This has been my fave Dino since childhood. The exotic crest fit exactly what I always pictured a Dinosaur should be.
Do a history of the Brachiosaurs. In honor of that poor Brachiosaurs from Fallen Kingdom. It's cries still haunt my nightmares :'(
I used to hunt Parries in the Carnivores games on my old computer. Loved every minute of it. They were a low level creature that couldn’t kill you, but could get to a nice size.
I have the running figure from Lost World and its one of my favorite toys. My mom, who isn't really a big dino fan has chosen the parasaur as her favorite species. They are pretty awesome animals, especially when you take into consideration all that goes on inside that crest.
Thanks for making this piece! Parasaurolophus is my favorite dinosaur since I was a little girl, and even more after the theoretical defense mechanism they had in packs according to the theories!
My favorite dinosaur!! Thank you so much for making this!!
I love it so much I have a tattoo of it on my arm, my first tatt :D
No! No!
Go for the Legs! The Legs!
Bryce Mckenzie mind the tale
Bryce Mckenzie THE LEGS
I'm absolutely loving The Lost World: Jurassic Park PS1 Soundtracks you have been using in your videos recently. Michael Giacchino is a genius.
My favorite dinosaur since BEFORE Jurassic Park, and you posted this video on my birthday, thanks Klayton! Nice work as always. I missed them earlier in Fallen Kingdom only to notice a couple in the mansion and was just like "Where the hell did they come from? Not that I'm complaining."
You actually missed a Parasaurolphus scene in Fallen Kingdom, after the Volcano Gyrosphere escape scene, in the water when the Sinoceratops swimming, not to far away you can see a Parasaur trying to get on top of a rock in the water.
Oh really!? I didn't see that! :D
Klayton Fioriti Unserstandable, it falls back into the water pretty quickly
NOOO MY SECOND FAVORITE DINOSAUR good thing one was saved
Six freddy fazbear I think I actually saw that 2 or 3 were saved
Loved them since I was a kid! One of the things I find disappointing about the films and games is that they never gave them, or any of there like relatives very noticeable calls. In reality they would all sound VERY loud, and unique given that there head crests where hallow and connected to their nasal cavities, possibly for extreme long range communication.
That's also a problem I have for the games, and movies beyond the first one. In the first movie each dino sounded unique. In the subsequent media, every new dino sounds very generic and dull!
Andrew Schembri I always found the parasaurs to have very notable calls
I concede you on that point, as I had to look them up to be sure. However after looking up the rest to be sure, I will say without a doubt in my mind, that the rest of my statement is true.
Andrew Schembri Oh most definitely
The Para is one of my favorite dinosaurs nice to see make a video on it, also ur opening breaks my ears with headphones
Always been one of my favourite herbivores. As I play a lot of Ark, having a Para is always one of the things I start out doing.
Oh and I love how Roland calls him Elvis.
definitely in my top 3 dinosaur list! Love them so much and we share the same favorite movie moment!
I’ve been waiting for this episode for a long time
To me they are a symbol of hope in a way. While I was blown away by the first film, I was disappointed that there were not more dinosaurs, as in the book. On the VHS I noticed the Parasaurolophus heard, so I appreciated that Spielberg put a little more detail to the world. Still I wish there was more, like in the 1930s' King Kong, you see creatures in the background and the forest seems full of life.
Been my fav since I was a kid. So happy to see it in the franchise. :)
It's been my favorite dinosaur since I was a little kid so obviously I love its semi-prevalence in the franchise.
I wouldn't mind if we got a dinosaur movie with a Parasaurolophus as the lead.
I love parasaurolophus thank you for this video it is so underrated within the JP community i wish it has a bigger role in the last one.
This is my 2nd favorite dinosaur only after Diplodocus. One thing to note that even though it was popularized by JP it was always that one "filler" dinosaur in those bags/boxes of plastic dino figurines. You'd get like 1 Trex, 1 Brontosaurus, 2 Ankylosaurs, 1 Trike, 2 Stegosaurs, a few Pterodactyls, and Parasaurs for filler (like 5 or 6 of them).
Parasaurolophus is my favorite duckbilled dinosaur, and I think it's partially because of the JP franchise. I do wish it got more screen time in the movies, but, like Brachiosaurus, Velociraptor, and many other dinosaurs in the franchise, it's left a very good impact on me.
Great video and I learned some more Jurassic Park history!
I like the parasaurolophus as well.
Will you ever do a video about the amphitheater in San Diego
Actually yes! I've been thinking about that after you requested it!
Parasaurolophus is my favorite duckbilled dinosaur. I didn’t realize how much I liked it until I was playing Jurassic World Evolution. I was so happy when I finally hatched them. Compared to the others I had hatched before like the Corythosaurus and Edmontosaurus, I find the crest and overall look way more interesting.
Para has been my favourite herbivore since I was a kid, nice to see some lore on em!
There was also two toy releases of this dino for the first Jurassic Park; one as a "hatchling" companion to the Tim Murphy figure for the 2nd series release, and a die-cast metallic one that was yellow and black.
I'll admit that if they were cloned back to life and were in an auction similar to that seen in _Fallen Kingdom_ (and assuming that I was rich also), I'd buy one just to keep as a pet. Better them and any other duck-billed dinosaur than a carnivore.
Klayton, love your videos man. Just finished watching through all your JP Comics series. Would you ever consider doing series similar to those, except about the video games? Or maybe just one video per game discussing what can be taken as canon and what contradictions they may have? Thanks for being the best Jurassic channel on RUclips 👍
At least they survived in Fallen Kingdom cause I thought they would be extinct since we saw none of them in the trailers so that's good cause I really do like this dinosaur probably cause of the lost world and how it was taken down.
Also Klayton can you do a video taking about the dimorphodon if you could cause we didn't see any of them in Fallen Kingdom.
Oh that would be a good one!
That means we might see them in the sixth Jurassic Park movie😁
My top 3 herbivores (from the franchise) were always Triceratops, Ankylosaurus and Stegosaurus (with an honarable mention to Brachiosaurs) probably because of their armour and wepons in some way which were fearsome and cool looking in each one in a different way.
Parasaurolophus were always intringing to me because of the especulation and theorys around their use of the "banana horn" (communication, mating, colors etc) it still is a beautiful dinosaur which I'm happy to see they appeared in all 5 movies and hopefully for the next one aswell
Props Klayton and keep up the awesome work you provide
Love it. I think that Dweeb was one in "We're Back! A Dinosaurs' Story" :)
I really loved the scene in the Lost World where the Parasaurolophus lifted one of the hunters off the ground when they tried to capture him.
I always loved the Parasaurs in the Jurassic films. As a kid, it was easily my favorite herbivore at the time, and I remember scouring all the Walmarts/toy shops in my area to get a Jurassic Park Parasaurolophus
This one is my all-time favorite dinosaur. I was so happy to learn it was in Fallen Kingdom ^-^
I must say that this dino is by far the best hadrosaur. I haven't watched Fallen Kingdom, but I hope that in any future franchise its sound is featured more than it has been.
I've always been a fan of the Parasaur, and when I unlocked it in JWE I was extremely happy!
I've always loved the Parasaurolophus ever since I was a kid watching Jurassic Park and especially the lost world.. I'ts probably my favorite herbivore dinosaur. I had the electronic toy as a kid that was from the lost world and I would bring it with me everywhere throughout my early years of elementary school. I still love the dinosaur today :)
I remember watching the original JP movie in the theater, and being so excited I almost cried when I saw the parasaurs drinking from the pond near the brachios. They've been my fave since I was a little kid.
Great channel!
Interesting as always my friend.
it was one of my favorites of the " duck bills" as a kid. the head creast is such a stricking feature
Get the thing, para....para. (throws packet) the thing with the horn!
ELVIS!
Now thinking of it it's one of my favorite herbivores alongside the sauropods and gallimimus I was actually happy to see them in the scene of the Lockwood mansion as I didn't see them on the island and thought they went extinct again.
Thanks to "The Lost World: Jurassic Park," it became one of my personal favorite dinosaurs! 😊
This is one of my favorite series
Parasaurolophuses were and are my must have in both JP:OG and JPE
Gotta love those plant-eating duck-like dinosaurs
I remember as a kid really wanting to feed a Parasaurolophus in a petting zoo like place. like what you do with cows. I remember being really sad this would never happen.
This is one of my favorites
Allosaurus will always be my favorite but Parasaurolophus is absolutely my favorite herbivore. We need more hadrosaur representation!
I personally love the Parasaur. I even have a figure of one that's yellow with a black horn and a black patch on its back. The Parasaur, Triceratops and the Brachiosaurus are my three favorite herbivores, while my favorite carnivores are the T Rex, Spinosaurus and Raptor.
Another one of my favorite dinos~
Actually I didn't even realize this dino was apart of JP and JW, I actually became a fan of it when I was learning about different dinosaurs when I started collecting those $1 toys you see at the dollar store.
Hahahaha oh god the trespasser parasaurolophus looks hilarious.
LIKE!!! Didn’t even watch the video yet. This was just always my favorite dinosaur ever since I first seen them in that one amazing scene in Disney’s Fantasia.
The cut opening for Lost World with the Parasaurolophus carcass actually existed. There was a special Stan Winston School stream a couple of years ago where the crew who worked on it talked about it in detail.
I do like the Parasaurolophus, its one of my favorite JP animals especially in The Lost World, hopefully we'll see it yet again in the next jurassic world movie.
Through exposure, Klayton.
I think we've seen it so damn much throughout the years that we've all been made to take a liking to it. :P
beautyfull video ❤️👍🏻
Huh noice episode. My fav would be the Trespasser game one.
I freaking love this Dino! I have this one as a mount in a D&D game
Perry was one of my first toys and I use to have the micro version and the horn head one...oh how I miss those toys
Same! My favorite of this gorgeous animal was in the lost world in the heard chase scene.
Okay this is one of the videos I have been waiting for I love the Parasaurolophus. Everywhere I can see it I love it, I'm sure everyone knows that crest is used as a resonating chamber. Connected from a nasal passage to help the species in communication, this discovery has lead to paleontologist to believe that it also had very sensitive hearing. It is also theorized that that the species whose crest vary in length would have different sounds. Can you imagine hearing a chorus of them in a prehistoric jungle? These are all facts just off the top of my head so don't quote me but I am pretty confident I hit the nail on the head. Sorry I haven't been watching your other videos, spoilers but I have my tickets and the date is set. If you can do me the favor in considering making a series of reading the Jurassic park novels. I would love to hear you and follow along with my own copy. How many likes do we need to make that happen? thanks for the video and keep up the good work.
Parasaurolophus is definitely my favorite hadrosaur thanks to Jurassic Park The Game. I’d love to see a video for the history of the Ankylosaurus or a video going over all the deaths in Fallen Kingdom. I really like your Top Ten Deaths video so I’m curious to see if any of the deaths from FK would make that list.
Love the Parasaurolophus, it is such an underrated dinosaur. In fact, one of my cartoon characters is a Parasaurolophus.
Respect for using the Ark dossier pic in there somewhere.
