Seems to be a very complete and versatile plugin, I wish they would go back and update a few of the older plugins with the transpose, metronome, doubler, etc
Most of the archetype plugins haven't ever really made me crave their sounds over the Nolly version I have already. Then this showed up and damn does it do everything to add so many good flavors of sound!
Have you tried their Gojira plugin? It's very good. I guess if you want a more refined and cleaner tone the Nolly one is better but if you want a dirtier tone you can't beat their Gojira plugin.
@@jani14jani I have and don't get me wrong it's got some good additions like phaser, pitch shifter, and octave. I also loved the acoustic amp and the new delay types/mode feature from the Tim Henson too! Hell even the Cory Wong is cool with the reverb with a shimmer added on. That's why the petrucci is the perfect all in one plugin as it has most of the features I like across the multiple plugins. With the transpose and room sound options to me it makes it beyond a crazy bang for your bucks.
Same. I've tried everything aside from Henson and JP, and while they were all great sims they didn't offer anything too special compared to Nolly. I'd jump on a NDSP Archon, Bogner, or Revv in a heartbeat, but everything since Nolly sounds like a 5150 or Mesa clone when it comes to high gain. Between Nameless, Omega and Nolly, none of their high gain amps sell for me.
this plug in is dope af!! and that transpose option is like the confirmation is amazing.... i wont have to change guitar every time i need a new tuning
The doubler function on this plug in also makes your guitar sound double tracked, too bad he didn't test it. Must be the way his guitar is connecting that there was no option, but with ASIO at least I have it
I just started using plugins and this was the first thing I tried and I will probably never use my boss katana artist ever again. But I loved that amp:(
Y’all…I downloaded the trial of this and Nik isn’t lying. It really is the most complete VST I’ve ever used. Absolutely insane. The only negative I can find is it really does take quite a bit of CPU power to run. But man…
Okay, so pardon my ignorance. This is an app you install on your PC and then somehow run your guitar through it prior to the amp… and it creates all these effects on the PC?
@@Crowhmmmm well, I got that working using Neural DSP plugins in Reaper DAW. Something weird though. After about two minutes, I would start getting this puttering noise that would gradually get worse until that’s all you could hear. I restart the app, two minutes later I get the same thing. This is through my Sound blaster Xz which has worked flawless for years and works fine for everything else. So I change my audio output to go to my high end gaming headphones and change Neural DSP/Reaper to the same thing. Works fine, no problem. At that point I noticed some weird harmonic noise coming through the audio whenever I use any kind of high gain setup. Not sure what that’s about.
"Let's see what it does" GLURUHRUHHRHB "Oh, that's the clean channel" lol, nice. I gotta say though, that transpose knob is actually really impressive. Very hard thing to do from a technical perspective.
Nik how good is the transpose feature? Is it easy to drop it to drop c, drop C sharp, drop b etc. Does the tone sound just as good as if you were to just downtune your guitars? Thinking about pulling trigger on this one… Love your content and thanks as always
Hi NIK, to hear well without headphone (I have DT770 PRO) which monitors do you use ? I m looking for something that could be ok to study guitar with amplitube and neural dsp
Mr. Pettrucci is our lord and savior. Mr. Petrucci can play at 1 Million BPM, it would destroy the Earth. We pray and thank Lord Petrucci for letting us live another day. It is also said that Mr. Petrucci can use his Time Signatures to bend space and time. He is a powerful Guitar God.
How do you get rid of the input delay? I tried playing around with the buffer size and there's always a millisecond delay on the input. Had no trouble with other products like guitar rig or amplitude, just neuralDSP plugins.
Since i am not a guitarist,i can't really understand how this plugin is to be used. Does it help you record anything,or is it just for practice purposes? And,will Petrucci use it himself on stage or during recordings,or is it just for players who want to have JP's sounds at hand? Thanks!
You can record your playing, but using another piece of software (of your choice). JP would be very unlikely (or any artist) to use this type of software in place of hardware for a live show. The reasons for that are a long a lengthy chat about guitar tones and purists need for original hardware
JP has said he does a lot more recording at their studio at his workstation and at home, so my guess he will use it for recording and demos. But for live he'll stick with real gear.
Its good for people like me who barely play anymore and i sold all my gear but my guitars. So with this i can just plug my guitar in my PC and play.. they are like 125-150$ so pretty affordable
It’s amp simulation software. It allows you (with an interface) to plug your guitar straight into your computer and easily get a huge assortment of really quite believable and useful guitar sounds. You can use it to record when run through a DAW. Big established artists would probably be less likely to actually use it for recording an album, although some might in some instances, and several do use higher-end amp sims (ie. axe fx) for their main guitar recordings. A lot of amateur or less-established artists will definitely use this to make all manner of amazing things I’m sure.
@Dragon Ball fans can't read what are the references when you rate playing of Mr. Petrucci? I would like to hear who is good if he is not good enough for you.
Hey dude I saw a video. Some guy called Ausomapto playing a harmonium with distortion, wah pedals and an amplifier. Can you tell me whether its possible or not?
*I had to learn how to play more than just breakdowns for this video*
I don't know if I should respond with "congrats" or "I'm so sorry"
Awesome video bro
That’s a sick as transpose
Transpose the acoustic with the piezo drop -100 💀 🖤 👼 🎸
i always watch your videos, You are Great 🎵
That clean acoustic made your electric sound like better than my actual acoustic
Piezo pickups are OP man
Literally same though
An experiment with a baritone/8 string tuned to Drop E1 then “transposed” by -12 is necessary… for scientific purposes
Music for whales.
@Bean's Butter Review Wagon how did it go????
@Bean's Butter Review Wagon thats very good to hear
@Bean's Butter Review Wagon well fucking post it Bean's??
@Bean's Butter Review Wagon we need the thalllll beans.... beans!!!!
Pay attention to the "eye" on the amp. When that thing starts flashing it means the AI has become self-aware, and you should run.
the "eye" triggers some kind of "big brother is watching you" feelings in me
@@oernsen8131 I wonder if "big brother" watching counts toward video views...
Its actually Petrucci himself judging our shitty playing through webcam. Every time you make a mistake eye of the Sauron wants to know your location.

well they are now!
The "liquid lead" is a replicate of the lead tone petrucci used in the band Liquid tention experiment ;)
He didn't even play the "factual creation of anything acoustic" being wonderwall during the acoustic amp + piezo part.
The integrated pitch shift is actually really cool
I wish it was on all NDSP products... Very useful and actually sounds really great.
As a DT fan for 25 years or so and a guitar player, this makes me very happy! 🤘🏻
That acoustic sound is awesome
You forgot the test the doubler. That's a pretty significant new feature on a Neural plugin
If you don’t make a full Octavarium cover with this I will come to your house and eat your guitars

eat the amps as well
how did they taste
You eat pieces of guitars for breakfast?
