I love when Jim and Sam know so much about the guests and create comfortable unique interviews. I learned more about waters here and the pace was fantastic.
My favorite celebrity. I wish they asked him about his hitch hiking across the country. He should make a movie about JIM NORTON' s childhood and teen years. MONSTER RAIN could be made in NEW BRUNSWICK NJ cheap!!!
The murders of Leno and Rosemary La Bianca occurred on August 9, 1969. Leslie van Houten was present at and participated in the murders. The driver for part of the trip on that night was Linda Kasabian, who had been present the night before outside the Polanski/Tate residence. She witnessed Manson family member Tex Watson murder Steven Parent and if I remember correctly, also saw Abigail Folger flee the house screaming before being stabbed to death on the front lawn. Kasabian was probably the strongest witness for the prosecution in the Manson case. She was given immunity from prosecution in return for her testimony.
My favourite John Waters line is in Hairspray, from Divine as Edna Turnblad: Could you turn that racket down? I'm trying to iron in here! The whole multigender thing I'm cool with. But it's conditional on being allowed to identify as a straight white male, rather than being forced to self-identify as hetero cisgendered. That is the kind of labeling that perpetuates what some claim to despise.
Fascinating guy. Never knew much about him or watched interviews, just knew a couple of his movie and TV stuff while growing up. Lol at the "Chester the molester" in the airport line.
What cracks me up is that all these things are accepted.....except older women. As a classy older and fit, sexy woman I have been dating a brilliant younger man....more than half my age. We've lasted 4 years so far, but it has always been a secret because heaven forbid it should come out that he is dating a grandmother!
I got a Bart Simpson tattoo from the episode John was on when I got it a few years ago I had no idea who he was 💀 this was such a cute interview still happy I got that tattoo it’s one of my all time favorite episodes
I honestly believe a lot of the theybies are going to grow up and rebel against their hyper progressive parents by being a 90s stereotype of a Reaganite
@De St we're seeing parts of gen z rebel against the annoying woke always offended millenials, but theybies will probably rebal so hard they're 2030 Reaganites
The entire time, it seems, that I enjoyed the fruits and peoples of Baltimore from school to working for assholes to make rent... this motherfucker was writing books and hitchhiking across America. I would literally meet dozens of real characters from his movies as you go around North Ave, W36th especially, and all that john-- it was like I went and lived in The Filth Lord's palace but this dude on vacation becoming Hemingway. I even worked on the block for a moment. Ugh.
sammy ive heard you use the phrase “...in the sense that....” in more than one interview... it’s always annoying when stern does it (and he does it in every interview!).. even worse when you do it .... just sayin, babe
John Waters has always been one of those guys who I liked the man more than his work. He's always been interesting to me, the king of filth. Unfortunately, with all the over saturation of... well, pretty much everything, there is no way young people today can not look at him through a contemporary lens and think he's tame.
I’ve got nothing against trans people but for him to say people aren’t either boys or girls anymore is ridiculous because that’s still how 99% of people see themselves. Dumb statement.
John Waters is a national treasure. Thanks for having him on the show Jim and Sam!!
Lyman Green, he sure is!
I always feel better after listening to John Waters.
Same
Omg I came here just fur that!
This man is so effortlessly funny and interesting, he makes every interview a joy to watch.
I love when Jim and Sam know so much about the guests and create comfortable unique interviews. I learned more about waters here and the pace was fantastic.

John waters fucking rules! He’s one of the best one off characters in Simpson’s history!
My favorite celebrity. I wish they asked him about his hitch hiking across the country. He should make a movie about JIM NORTON' s childhood and teen years. MONSTER RAIN could be made in NEW BRUNSWICK NJ cheap!!!

I love the term Filth Elder. He's amazing
He is EVERYTHING. He is WISE.
What a delight.

What's wrong with older women?
@@daveydavedave IMO, nothing. But older women seem to be a dating taboo. Now I'm not talking sweet little old grannies. LOL
How old is old to you though? You got liver spots or did you just turn 31? Lol
Rose Johnson-Tsosie you just might be gross and can’t see it, it’s ok tho I’m glad you’ve found someone who tolerates your varicose veins
yes. I'm a very attractive woman inside and out.

I watched my first John Waters film when I was 19/20 and loved it! I think you’re forgetting that “young people” today aren’t all the same.
Sam Hyde made a few jokes about this guy- had it ofc removed from youtube.
I’ve got nothing against trans people but for him to say people aren’t either boys or girls anymore is ridiculous because that’s still how 99% of people see themselves. Dumb statement.
Steve buscemi really went down hill
