Hello, in SSD you have the posibility to send to stereo and mono channels, but in the list of channel in ableton you can choose just the stereo ones, do you know to use the Monos? Thanks in advance
Julian, you are a "Big One" ... Thanks for reading the comments on your channel. A few weeks ago I had asked you for this SSD5 tutorial and it finally exists on the website. thanks to your dedication. OBRIGADO !!! Greetings from Chile HB
Thank You for the tutorial! Under the DRUMMER selection dropdown, I have a dropdown with two options: "Pre FX" and "From FX", no output ch to select. Do you know why this is? I bought the Ableton Live Intro version.
Super helpful video, thank you my man! Can this be done with a standard drum rack? I'm seemingly unable to route my midi drums to separate audio tracks in the same way you can with SSD, am I missing something?
@@JulianGrimmMusic Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it! That's a really helpful way to see each element of the rack, but can I then send an individual elements (say, a kick) from the rack to an audio track and record it as audio (like you do at the end of your video)? Or am I missing the point entirely?!
Great video, thank you a lot!! However do you think that when we record we should use the original levels in the mixer of SSD or should we set to zero all faders? I ask because when mixing the audio files I usually use the original levels that comes with SSD to preserve the balance but I’m not sure if that is the right thing to do. Can you help? Best regards and stay safe!!
Thanks Julian !! Question: What are your thoughts on the stock drums that come with Ableton. I purchased Suit11 so have all the studio sets, but for some reason they don't come close to SSD or any of the other drum plugins. Is there a way to make the stock drums sound more interesting (more punky :-))?
I like the Ableton drums! They are a bit more natural sounding so you need to mix them a bit heavier to get them to punk sound. More eq, more compression and some saturation
As a fellow Julian, I approve of this video

You should be able to do it.
With a drum rack all you have to do is click the little expand arrow in session view.
@@JulianGrimmMusic Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it!

@@archiveiteverywhere you can right click the individual chains and press extract chains inside your drum rack. One at a time.

You should zero the volumes if you want the right levels coming into your plugins.
@@JulianGrimmMusic Ok, great thank you a lot for your reply!
"this is the fucking 3rd language I speak...bare with me alright?"
I’m trying here!
