  • I perform and interpret repeated measures Anova (oneway) in SPSS. I test Mauchly's test of sphericity, point-out the Greenhouse-Geiser correction, partial eta squared, briefly mention polynomial contrasts (linear effects), and then basic post-hoc tests.

    Cochran's Q is the repeated measures equivalent for nominal data. If you have ordinal data, then Friedmans' ANOVA is an option.

    Yes, it would mixed-design ANOVA in that case (aka., split plot ANOVA). I've got a video series on that topic as well.

    Hi, absolutely fantastic website, brilliant!
    Have you a specific tutorial on Bonferroni correction, you mention you have a video during repeated measures ANOVA tutorial but I cannot seem to see it anywhere?
    Thanks
    Declan

    Hi and thanks for these very nice tutorial videos. I was also looking for the video on Bonferroni correction, could you give the link?

    Can you do a video on how to normalize variables for a repeated-measures ANOVA? Also, could you run this test if you have a binary dependent variable and two interval dependent variables?

    In my research I have two treatment groups and in each group I have taken measurements of pressure at 3 intervals ie 0, 2, 4, 8 weeks. I want to compare significance between 2 groups. Which test to use? How to say which treatment is better than other?

    How can we test order effects if we used the same subjects for 3 different conditions, rather than time?

  • @how2stats
    @how2stats  11 лет назад

    No, not in a commonly conceived sense. There are occasions where the same people are tested under different conditions. Suppose 10 people did a memory test, once with music in the background on and once with the no music. Suppose further whether music was on or off in the first condition was counterbalanced. That would be a within-subjects design.

    Hello, great video! How can I make a single diagramm in SPSS with 5 personality factors with 2 levels of independent variables? It is an ANOVA repeated measurement.

    Is it necessary to adjust for covariates in one-way repeated measures ANOVA?

    I am trying to find out the effect of a training on stedents, so I set 2 experimental groups and 2 control groups. I applied a pre training test (to all groups), training to exp. groups only, and post test (to all groups), pre and post-tests are the same. Now I want to see if there is improvement related to my trainig; therefore, I want to see if my exp. groups' improvement is higher than the cont groups'. I perform repeated measures, right?

    hi can i ask if not using the polynomial contrast effect as the times assessment in my before and after tests were not similar - what would i use here instead? my time was a baseline measurement and 3 month measurement after intervention and then a 12 month measurement without intervention.

    how do you adjusted for confounders in one way ANOVA with repeated measures?

  • @XxRoos898xX

    Can I do a oneway repeated measures ANOVA with one factor with only two levels? (For example in your video if you had the factor Pratice_effect with only the levels Time1 and Time2.) And would I still need to do a post-hoc test if I only have two levels?

    • @how2stats
      @how2stats  5 лет назад

      Yes, you can do a repeated measures ANOVA with only two means. If you square root the corresponding F-value, you'll get exactly the t-value from the paired t-test. They're the same statistical test. Try it out! (ps: You wouldn't do a post-hoc test in this case).

    Hello:
    I have a data set where each person was measured three times. I know that a repeated measured anova is to used but I would like to account for differences in a categorical variable. So I would an analysis where I can see the differences among the three times by the different categories I want to assess. How do I do that?

  • @how2stats
    @how2stats  11 лет назад

    No, it's not possible. There are single case statistical analyses out there, though. Google statistical analysis for single case designs.

    does Repeated Measures Anova always involve time

    • @osamaaljarrah9851
      @osamaaljarrah9851 4 года назад

      Think about it like piosson distribution. It usually modeled by lambda as average arrival rate, what usually used for time, but you can used is for distance or volume. So, if you imagine a factor that evolve like time, definitely you can use it.
