PROGRAMMING NOTE: Next week's episode will be delayed a few days so Brett can return from vacation and catch up with 'Beetlejuice' and 'The Front Room!'
On this week's 'Roger (Ebert) & Me,' an imitation 'Siskel & Ebert' movie review show that keeps 'At The Movies' alive, film critics Brett Arnold of The New Flesh & markreviewsmovies.com's Mark Dujsik take on nine (9) new release movies out in theaters and streaming the week of Friday August 30th 2024 (08/30/2024) and also one movie that came out last week.
Check out markreviewsmovies.com for several more movies reviewed by Mark. Brett's a slacker; Mark did 14 for today!
For more genre titles, check out The New Flesh, Brett's other show, out on Monday.
Thank you to Banshee Beat for the incredible original theme song. Alien Ant Farm's music video for 'Movies' closes the show. And thanks to Mary Houlihan for the killer hand-drawn artwork.
"Roger (Ebert) & Me" is a celebration of the late, great Roger Ebert, aiming to keep his unique spirit of film criticism alive by reviewing new movies in the easily digestible format that he pioneered. In other words, it's a movie review podcast. A podcast for regular moviegoers and people who like to keep up with new release movies.
Every Friday, join Brett and veteran film critic Mark Dujsik as they review all the movies set for theatrical or streaming release that day and let you know if they're worth your time and money.

Brett & Mark, Thank you for going deeper on movie's director/filmographies i.e. Adam Macdonald (Out Come the Wolves) and Brett's shoutout to Backcountry which I just watched and was blown away by its unsparing aesthetic...plus the 2 leads were fantastic for a genre picture. Just a classic film I wii proudly share with friends.. Plus, now I have a new director to explore (will watch Out Come the Wolves and his other feature Pyewacket)....Thanks guys!!!
