It got review BOMBED because everyone was expecting Arkham fighting. And basically wanting it to be an Arkham game. Even tho they said it from the start. It’s not. This game is fun and fun with friends. That’s what video games should be!

The fight mechanics in Arkham games has a smooth fluidity which keeps us engaged. But in Gotham, its just kinda laggy and artificial.
nah the animations for executions and melees are so smooth and so badass. Way more fluid than in Arkham games

The amount of abilities and combat adaptiveness she has is insane I mean I played the game at launch but I haven't even went back to it yet to like finish it but the skills is just insane for her skill tree

@@dawsonkeigley2097 this game isn't worth it overall to be fair. Going from Spider-Man 2 to this feels awful. Also it needs to be 5$ or less in order to be worth it both standard and deluxe edition.
your start of the game is honestly cursed, I felt like I was watching my grandpa be confused over simple mechanics. while me and my pal breezed through, had no obvious bugs other than if we were too far apart in the world fps started to dip.

This Game was a Clear Downgrade in EVERY GAMEPLAY and STORY Asspect Compared to Batman Arkham Knight which came out in 2015!! So in my opinion this did deserve the hate

Maybe it bugged out in the beginning because you happened to hop off the batcycle when you did… still no excuse for a game especially one that’s been out this long… not too long ago a bug like that would have been tested for by the devs before release… quality is lacking in this games gameplay, a lock on feature would have really been a good addition

I guess a big reason why I didn't like this game is because I was expecting the gameplay to be on par with the Arkham series. That isn't really fair, so maybe I'll give it another chance.
The Arkham Games put a bar of quality that it’s hard to even reach nowadays, that is why despite the updates this game still looks like a downgrade
I just think the game is fun despite the reviews , I wasn’t expecting the combat to be like Last of Us or even the other Batman games but it’s fun , the story is good & differnt

the game would be perfectly fine, if the combat was a bit faster and they added an inplace counter like in mad max game or arkham games.

This game isn’t amazing but I think it’s pretty good. All the reviewers who trashed it were just expecting arkham when the developers clearly communicated that this game wasn’t arkham and not affiliated with that universe. The best part of the game is how well they handled the interactions between the bat-family. They were believable. The traversal was easily the worst part of this game. Only Batgirl gets an actual glide and robin has the worst traversal cause you literally pause the game and teleport forward which isn’t fun. Nightwing and Redhood should gotten a parkour like in assassin’s creed mixed with grappling instead of a fortnite glider and a mystic leap (which i didn’t hate as much as most at least it was faster than nightwing’s glider).

It’s because it was heavily compared to the Arkham game series, even though there two different games with different mechanics
Well, I finished like two chapters. And to this is not good fun, the structure is simply boring feels like a chore. There are still minor jest annoying glitches.
But I see in the comments many people liked the game. Good for you after all the only score that count is the one we gave the game.
There is a lot of games I would called overrated, but there are also some which get OK scores and I liked them despite the flaws they had.

@@lewliteki the first one is spider man ? Ps2 is outdated... The former was from developer Rocksteady, which saw the culmination of the developer’s six-year run on the series, and finally brought the Arkham trilogy to a close in 2015.
And at this point insomniac developing a New type game of spider man after 2014... And a lot of the mechanics of Batman end up being implemented in Spider Man, sometimes to the drop of a hat.
Considering things in the right order, but don't get your hopes up either, no offence either 🙂

For real lol, and he says he likes the combat but tbh he kinda fights like he thinks it's a Lego DC game. Pains me to even see him fight. His square button has to be WORN out so bad. Bet the other buttons are fine. Then there's the prison part where he gets hit and loses the optional objective to not take damage and when the game says he failed the objective with a popup he says he doesn't need a hint to not take damage, he knows. LMAO 🤣😂. I feel like a Batman combat god after this vid. Always feel bad when I see insane videos of people kicking a$$ in this game or the Arkham ones but now I am reminded that I sit comfortably in the upper middle tier of the spectrum lol.

The thing with games is that it depends on who you ask. I love the game and been playing it non-stop for the past few days.i wouldn't say the game is perfect but it's good and fun and thats enough.
From Batman Arkham series to this "Game" , yea we went downhill pretty fast. Dont get me wrong i was excited like little kid, but you know it is what it is.
