The Great Wall was the highlight of our trip, and I'm so glad we got to do it while he was still with us and in good health. I wish he could have seen this video, as it shows a great deal more than we saw and from a perspective not possible on the ground. Thank you for sharing your talent, and I hope you were able to recover all those lost GBs. When I travel I always keep my footage on both my laptop and a flash card just in case 😊

I had been learning Chinese for 9 years prior to this trip and it was an absolute amazing experience being able to communicate with the people who live there but also to see the beauty of the country! If any of you are planing on going to China I would definitely recommend going to the Great Wall!

Japanese language was made from Chinese characters, they used some whole Chinese characters and parts of some characters to make Japanese. they did these because of patriotic reason ,just like Korean did so later. if you went to the museum in Japan or Korean. you will find every history book over 400 years old are actually in exact Chinese language. because they didn't have one of their own at that time. this is true regarding the historical building left there as well. they are the same style as the Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty which you can still find nowadays in China.

Well both cultures r great, different yet similar, but from a more practical view Chinese as a language is more useful and future proof. However if u learn Japanese you would acquire a lot of Chinese characters as well as some cultural terms so if u decide to learn Chinese after u would have an advantage.

The Kanjis in Japanese are slightly different from the modern Chinese characters, but knowing 2000 Kanji will definitely help. If u know about 3000 characters u will be fine to read. Chinese is a very old and complicated language. It has many dialects and different forms. Mandarin is a Chinese dialect spoken in the north and since the political center of China has been in the north in the past few centuries Mandarin has become the official dialect of China ever since. The difference between different Chinese dialects (like Mandarin and Cantonese) are mainly the pronunciations, they all share very similar writings and grammars.

The major Great Wall was built during Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) with a total length of 8852 km. All remained Chinese Great Walls total more than 21200 km. All Great Walls ever built in Chinese history total more than 50000 km.
Absolutely breathtaking. Feels mystical with the camera angles and music. How long did it take you to capture this footage? I am going to the Great Wall as well, and as an avid traveler myself, I wanna know how many days/ sections of the Great Wall you visited to record all of this? Looks like several geographical landscapes that required visits to multiple sections of the Great Wall.

I'm studying Japanese but Chinese culture and landscapes are amazing too, I'm questioning my choices, anyone? :D
Well both cultures r great, different yet similar, but from a more practical view Chinese as a language is more useful and future proof. However if u learn Japanese you would acquire a lot of Chinese characters as well as some cultural terms so if u decide to learn Chinese after u would have an advantage.

Kanji literally means "Chinese characters" in Japanese (kan 漢 = Chinese, ji 字 = word). They are usually used to represent meanings (non alphabetic). Hiragana and katakana are alphabetic. They are also derived from Chinese characters. They are used to represent sounds and borrowed words from foreign countries other than China.

The Kanjis in Japanese are slightly different from the modern Chinese characters, but knowing 2000 Kanji will definitely help. If u know about 3000 characters u will be fine to read. Chinese is a very old and complicated language. It has many dialects and different forms. Mandarin is a Chinese dialect spoken in the north and since the political center of China has been in the north in the past few centuries Mandarin has become the official dialect of China ever since. The difference between different Chinese dialects (like Mandarin and Cantonese) are mainly the pronunciations, they all share very similar writings and grammars.
