Hi Brent.I'm just very new of your fans as I have discovered you just few weeks ago. I have as well small collection of uniforms. In regard of sick comments under your videos I just would like to explain you that unfortunatelly people from eastern Europe still have problems with history and that is why now they have problem with presence. I'm not to sure have you done any videos with former yugoslavian uniforms but they are same crazy about ethnic, patches and who started war first. Anyway very good videos. Many thanks. Btw. I'm polish but have been thinking to buy russian GORKA as well.
I was glad to read it. But try to understand the reaction of the viewer. Nobody called you a Nazi for the German uniform. Now this is not surprising. Because it's history. But imagine that you appear in this form in 1942. Something tells me that everything would be a little different.
Azov as national superiority ideology seems approved but communism as a union of nations for building of fairly community is forbidden. Nothing difference you carried svastics or isis pads. Logical miscondict. It seems like crude set of TV templates. I think nacism and all other ideology against of christian is bad. Anyway is good to serve and defence self homeland.
I have bought a Gorka from SSO/SPOSN for 95€ and I absolutely love it. Really rugged and well thought piece of equipment, I am really impressed by the "camouflage" effectiveness. Your videos are a gold mine, from camo to tactics. Thank you again, sir.
I appreciate these types of videos as I want to be informed on these camos. I love how you guys do worldwide camos instead of ones just from America. I will subscribe and continue watching videos.
Not quite. This outfit was originally designed for the Soviet army in 70-80ies. In special forces appeared in 80-ies in Afghanistan as "mountain storm windproof suit". In the 90s, after the company in the Caucasus, became more popular and now drag all those who wish including hunters and fishermen. At the moment, sewn the mass of producers in different ways. PS About the Chevron on the pocket of Bruce, maybe if you do not know, this is Chevron of punitive battalion "Azov" they almost do not use"gorka". But "gorka" is mainly used by the rebels from Lugansk and Donetsk.
I had never known what these suits were called/used for, and I’ll say I’m really surprised at how well it camouflages. Maybe it’s the texture of the material mixed with how the suit is divided up. It seems to utilize the shadows and highlights from the tree line to create a dynamic pattern of its own. Really cool stuff guys! Thanks for the video.
Nice to have an actual professional soldier demonstrate each camo patterns and explain it instead of some kid. Thanks a lot Brent keep up the good work!
Actually Gorka is not real camouflage costume. In USSR it was used by civil mountaineers, geologists, so it's name derrives from russian word "Gora" - Mountain in English. It is mainly windproof costume for mountain trips with physical protection against tick-borne Encephalitis.
I bought a Gorka 3 in the Flora camo and it is the best battle suit I've ever worn. I loved it so much I bought a Gorka 4 in all black for running around on the property. Excellent video, very peaceful until the end with the gunfire. Just about leaped off the bed, LOL!
My gorka 4 is fabulous! The durability along with the natural camo has helped me a couple times for sure! Nothing better than hearing the homies say bro i had no idea you were even there!!
Great video guy’s , and it’s only common sense to know that what you’re doing is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Thanks for what you do and keep the videos coming. 👍🇺🇸
Politics aside, Brent's suit was very effective in this environment. The suit that Bruce utilized was pretty poor. In the ambush scene, I did not see either. Very interesting video! Thank you!
So glad you guys came out with the Gorka video! I have one and this video helped give me a better perspective on how to use it in my local environment. Rad video as usual!

+Sebashbag Miller He's right you know. I have a Russian MVD kit and sometimes just play with my Gorka to cheeki breeki in airsoft. It's like dressup but with BB shooting toy guns:)
It was always impressive for me how inadequate are AK74 colors, and even AK/AKM. That orange is just a brilliant idea. Nature colors in the video are very similar to colors in my country and here is the same. The bonus is if you lost your magazine somewhere you can find it easily with that color :) If we add a shiny helmet to that also...
I finally pulled the trigger on 2 gorkas last spring for my father's day gift. Took forever to get due to covid restricted flights from Russia and the Ukraine. I wish I would have gotten them years ago. Highly recommend these uniforms for the hunter and woodsman.
Really liked the two different patterns being used simultaneously! Good to see you back in the woods!... well, at least try to see you back in the woods! :)
Top quality vid as usual from top quality guys. You cover your topic: “camo”, professionally. Wish I was out with you guys. Always some Yahoos Dickin things up. Former Cold War Sgt. Thanks for the vid.
Unfortunately everything is dead during Texas winters. The most dominant color is yellowish tan, brown, and grey. I learned that when I realized that m90 camo jacket I bought wasn't as awesome as I hoped. I stick out like a sore thumb. And your sure to attract attention when I wear it to the grocery store (But Its not the chick magnet I hoped it would be). I'm thinking this can pass for a civy jacket. I think I'll get one anyways. and thank you for the video. I always saw these on the ukrane news coverage and would always ask on the comments on youtube newsclips. No one ever knows. GORKA Uniforms in other color configuration are used by the UdSSR at the Afghanistan war between 1979 and 1989. I use by my self the GORKA 3K and GORKA 4 for hunting and be outside... By the way, your clips are great!!!

+Nahtot I like doing the multi person videos but unfortunately its going to be the exception and not the norm. The first condition is either both of us have to have the same uniform/pattern, or one of us has to have two sets (that fit). Then its a matter of finding a day we can both shoot together. The good news is I can see us doing more and more stuff like this in the future so we'll see what's next. The next video will be just Bruce wearing Kryptek, he had a full set so I just did a video featuring him in it.
+Brent0331 When you can get multi-person videos done, please do. It is a much better illustration of camo effectiveness. For lack of better words, the quality of the video skyrockets. Even if you do not have the same camo sets, one person could be wearing a well known "benchmark" pattern, so as to have a relative reference of the effectiveness of the "new" pattern under the exact same conditions. Great job.
+Brent0331 Awesome video as always Brent. When can we hope to see the Multicam Arid, Tropic and Original showdown? I am not sure that has been done yet. I have seen Original up against Tropic, that was interesting to see.
I could very well be wrong here, but I believe that the Gorka is actually the base layer uniform for elite Russian units, with a lightweight camo layer worn over it.
Found the darker one far more effective in this environment, but a bit surprised how easy it was to spot both of them a majority of the time. Good thing i guess? Thanks for the upload
Again thanks brother for taking the time to show us the things that help us in field that we could not have the time or money 2 do !!!! SPOKANE ,WA 2/11/A.C.R. 2/28/17
This would be great for hiking were you don't want to be "seen" as wearing camo by others (in parking lots or camping areas), but once you're in the wood you don't have to be seen if you don't want to be.
I used gorka 3 for hiking. For me this one have 3 problems: heavy, warm at summer, not compact in backpack. It is good for mountains or autumn/spring weather.
in dealing with camouflage I have heard or read or understood the bigger the object, the bigger the pattern should be. And the farther away something is (there are exceptions due to atmosphere) the darker the object will become. So the large block pattern seems logical.
Hey Brent. Just a suggestion, but you (and Bruce??) should try to make a winter video with these Gorka suits. I think they would do really good in a brown and tan environment too, that could be interesting to see actually, if you have the time for it?? Nice day.
in the vast majority of the clips i was unable to see both of you. but i feel really glad that i saw both of you in time in the final clip were you shot us tho!
My Gorka suit is insulated and has patches of their digital camo. Heck of a functional uniform design. I rather like the various Russian uniforms and equipment I've amassed over the years.
@@orion3253 dont know but i asled the guy that i bought mine from amd he said the same its not really a combat outfit Sure you can use it in digital patterns but i dont see russians use it much besides special forces that i can only describe as russian swat and they dont need camos
Hey brent, me and my son love your video's. Its a game for us to see who can spot you first. What would help if you could upload in 1080P or higher. On my screen its to pixelated sometimes. Still, thank you for your content.
Great video! You should try M93 oak leaf pattern replaced the M89 series of clothing. It's Yugoslavian or Serbian camouflage patern, very effective in heavely vegetated areas. Tumbs up from me ;)
The modern gorkas, especially with Gore tex are probably best uniforms for heavy mountainous environment. With padding underneath they are keeping warm of the user and protect him from snow and rain. No shit that separatist forces choose those as they uniform of choice
I don't care for the gorka very much. The block panel design just really bugs me. I prefer either a full camo design or a solid color design. Even a mix of the 2 is fine as separate clothing. This is just my opinion & preference. Also have you checked out those 1 point adapters for AKs yet Brent? If you have, what do you think. Like them? Or prefer the old fashion AK 2 point?
Facundo Corradini That makes sense. To bad since I live in Upstate NY. Winters are long and made of suck. However, everything turns brown, grey or white so I doubt the utility of the patterns I've seen with these Gorka suits. Of course they would be great in Spring and fall so that's not nothing.
+Dan Morgan there are really a lot, and I mean, *a lot* of patterns available. Check out kamuflage.ru/odezhda-letnjaja-gorka.html for what you said the "tsifra-2" would work great ;)
Hey Brent, another awesome video Gorka was pretty effective. It's funny how simple two color patterns often end up being the most effective. As always keep up the good work, any chance you will test partizan ss.
I love the gorka suit it's a good outfit for hunting and combat and hiking By combat I meant hide a vest under the jacket of the suit if it's small enough
Dat Azov patch though. Speaking of Ukraine, have you guys thought about trying Zhaba? It's incredibly environmentally-specific, but when it's in the right place it works incredibly well.
Sheeeit! At first I thought Bruce was a mannequin! 🤣🤣🤣 He's had some form of SF training at some point in the past. Or maybe, he was a sniper. Or maybe he was just born AWESOME! A big thumbs up for the both of you! In this particular case you looked like you were play acting but Bruce... well, Bruce was switched on and glowing bright. Hope you guys didn't have live rounds. Bruce was a hair's breadth away from going Banner! 😁😁
There is a such thing as trying too hard to blend in. Instead of trying to blend in to whats around you, blend in to whats behind you otherwise the shadows in your background give you an outline which makes you easily detectable even if only a little bit is visible from the angle you are being viewed from.
Bro great video! I wish you would go back to waiting a few seconds and then shooting . that really made it more realistic for me ! but either way GREAT VIDEOS!!! stay safe
+Outdoorslayer 90 We do that at the end of this one. That was really more for the OPFOR videos. These videos are primarily just about showing what the patterns look like in the environment.
Interesting camo. Probably not a whole lot more effective then a solid color uniform. It looks like it was derived from water proofing on certain areas of hunting clothing.
What other patterns does the Gorka come in? I know theres a Russian flecktarn type camo version and an ATACS FG like you said, not sure if there are any others tho. Those rounds goin off at the end surprised me a bit lol.
+Cyclone Outdoors There's a bunch of different ones out there. Another viewer commented with a link to a variety of different Gorka suits with different patterns.
I'm kinda thinkin that the lighter Gorka camo worked a bit better with blending in - great video high quality - I'm new to the channel but have you reviewed the new issue Russian Ratnik ( might be the same as their Digital Flora ) camo yet ? It kinda reminds me of a German Flecktarn or U.S. woodland done in digi. Great channel man - keep rockin
it looks cool. but doesn't seem to blend in as much as that new camo using the multicam colors but with the older splotchy pattern used by the army in the 80s and up until they replaced it with the digital camouflage. can't remember what it's called though
Awesome video. I love the teamwork. It really made camoflauging more effective. We're those pants restrictive to movement? The crotch seemed to have a very funky cut.
How would a Gorka suit compare to domestically availble civilian gear like Carhartts foul weather gear? --I realise that both are geared for entirely differant purposes, but I imagine that there would be some cross compatibility between the two in that they are both made to be durable functional hard wearing gear.

I always seem to find the lighter color uniform. the greener one was always more difficult to find.
The modern gorkas, especially with Gore tex are probably best uniforms for heavy mountainous environment. With padding underneath they are keeping warm of the user and protect him from snow and rain. No shit that separatist forces choose those as they uniform of choice
If you are going to wear gorka with that Azov patch, you might as well wear a flecktarn instead. Gorka is primarily worn by DPR/LPR
+AppelsinDuck Lots of AZOV rocking Gorka www.digitaljournal.com/image/204882
I don't care for the gorka very much. The block panel design just really bugs me. I prefer either a full camo design or a solid color design. Even a mix of the 2 is fine as separate clothing. This is just my opinion & preference.
Also have you checked out those 1 point adapters for AKs yet Brent?
If you have, what do you think. Like them? Or prefer the old fashion AK 2 point?
Correct me if i am wrong but the old Gorka was actually first issued as a Soviet official geologist uniform. Not a hunter.
Not bad for a two tone pattern suit. Based on what I've heard about the suits is they are quit warm due to being made from heavy material.
+Dan Morgan In my experience, it's a suit for
+Facundo Corradini I agree, I have the two tone Gorka winter suit. It is pretty darn warm even in single digits.
As always keep up the good work, any chance you will test partizan ss.
great video
I love the gorka suit it's a good outfit for hunting and combat and hiking
By combat I meant hide a vest under the jacket of the suit if it's small enough
You guys gotta try SurPat.
The one Bruce was wearing was very easy to spot I wonder how it will do in a drier environment
Dat Azov patch though. Speaking of Ukraine, have you guys thought about trying Zhaba? It's incredibly environmentally-specific, but when it's in the right place it works incredibly well.
Спасибо за видео ! Но горка не камуфляж !
Но всё равно по мне маскирует на 7/10
Instead of trying to blend in to whats around you, blend in to whats behind you otherwise the shadows in your background give you an outline which makes you easily detectable even if only a little bit is visible from the angle you are being viewed from.
great piece of gear indeed...
10:02 holy crap, i'd be dead before i blink here. This is scary.
Interesting camo. Probably not a whole lot more effective then a solid color uniform.
It looks like it was derived from water proofing on certain areas of hunting clothing.
Gorka is normal from +5 +15C. Very hot upper +15, gorka is good for wind not for warm weather. Wet Gorka need much time to dry.
I found them every time
Brent your friends uniform popped out to me fast
You should try the Gorka-Tibet in late summer or the fall
Awesome video. I love the teamwork. It really made camoflauging more effective.
We're those pants restrictive to movement? The crotch seemed to have a very funky cut.
Mine are fine, remember they're pretty baggy so that you can put them on over your normal uniform too.
Initially, the gorka (mountain costume) and designed to be worn over uniform. Thank you for the video. Nice to see a professional.
Where do you find these uniforms? I would really like to get one. Do you think they'd be good for rugged use say for SHTF? Camping? etc?
Ebay for these, they are very rugged, they're made out of a think canvas material.
in every slide i saw at least one of them, but i don't think i would've seen them if i didn't know they were there
How would a Gorka suit compare to domestically availble civilian gear like Carhartts foul weather gear? --I realise that both are geared for entirely differant purposes, but I imagine that there would be some cross compatibility between the two in that they are both made to be durable functional hard wearing gear.
Where can I get those green bandanas like Bruce has?
Hahahaha the marine veggie fro!
+Uniform Tango 74 Ha
so how is the Gorka in hot climate?
too hot, honestly.
how heavy is the gorka? i thought they were more for cold weather ops, to be worn over armor etc.
+acle Its a thicker material, it is meant for colder weather.
thanks. where did you get your russian digital camo from, by the way? some of the surplus stores online seem a bit sketchy.
Ebay, you'll always take a chance. Order from people who have positive reviews.
fair enough. thank you. also: how solid/heavy does the bakelite ak74 mag feel? i've never handled one myself.
10:03 saw one but id be fuckin dead lol damn good job, awesome videos you do excellent work thank you
