I agree 💯👍 here in wayne county Michigan you have a better chance of getting a hd motorcycle haha 🧐 😆. No one won't $ 21,000 pan American new or used ok
Kawasaki & even Suzuki are pretty much sold out here. The Yamaha dealer still has Mountain bikes but the motorcycles are sold out. They have a couple of Triumphs and used bikes
I think they have missed a trick not having the world raid suspension available as an option on the standard bike. that's the main thing that puts me off buying one is the budget suspension.
The Tenere700 is a fantastic bike with everything that is really necessary, I don't need all the electronic gimmicks. What is not on board cannot be broken. In the 80's and 90's I didn't even have ABS on my bike. But I'm happy about the new TFT, the old LCD looked like it was from the 80s. If the dealer gives me a good price for the 2023 in winter, I'll get one. The standard Tenere in blue without quickshifter.
Bought a 2023 T7 in California today…. Does not have the updated TFT or updated ABS, USB or LED turn signals…Dealer told me these options are only in Europe…. Not the U.S…. Bike was manufactured in October 2022, but is a 2023 year model…. Curious for any insight….
yeah, they added some cheap mods to remain competitive, but they did not address the limitations of the expensive parts such as suspensions and tubeless wheels. Why the hell a 200+ Kg ADV bike comes with tubed tyres in 2023?
Yes, the Tuareg has some nice tech features but above all it has lower centre of gravity, and better seat ergonomics, in height, and space to move around. In my opinion, the T7 should have addressed these problems above all else.
@@sspirito3130 if you bend a rim or get a flat good luck going home. Tubes will still work on bent wheels and if you get a flat you just patch the tube and you're good to go. I don't trust the plugs for tubeless tires, you'd have to find a new tire. I like tubeless on my road bikes, but for an ADV, the good old tube is king. You can also keep two spare tubes if it can't be patched anymore.

Considering this over my 22' Tracer 9 GT. one thing I couldn't go back to, up/down quick shifter. the CP3 quick shifter is a blessing for regular commute and high end riding. Great video really considering trading in with this new update.
I was excited till i sat on one it seemed sooo much bigger and would only be worthwhile if doing massive milage but if like me living in ireland you are always never too far from a gas station so for me not worth the extra money
I'm not keen on these updates. I prefer the two color front lit LCD vs the full color backlit. The Tenere has always scored with its simplicity. I also prefer a 12v socket over 5v USB, if you need USB you could plug in an adapter, even a fast charging one, now you don't have that option anymore. They already had LED indicators, they just changed the style, not even worth talking about. The new ABS mode is the only positive thing I can find on this new model. So from now on I will only look at the old models when I'm looking to buy one.
The 24 l double tank is a big thing on the world raid. Not sure how the handling is considering it's 8 liters more than the rally and basic one. But 24 litres is a lot. The honda cb500 x has a big tank also(17 litre) considering it's only 500 cc. Not many bikes have such a huge fuel capacity. Considering the price the cb 500 x is a steal adventure bike.
Excellent info for when these updates finally trickle over to the US models. Speaking of which, can anybody here in the US even get ahold of one of these Tenere's? My local Yamaha dealer has only seen one of them all year. Yamaha USA doesn't seem to be able to get many of these bikes. Is it the same over in the UK and Europe?
I managed to snag a 2022 out of a dealership in Texas. Way off the beaten path where biking "apparently" isn't that big because it sat there for awhile and nobody even test drove it lol... I got lucky but this new T-7 has me holding mines but looking at it..
There are a lot of 22’s going out to dealers now in the US. I am picking one up next week. If you want one call around, find a dealer with one on order and no deposits.
Pretty poor attempt by Yamaha with these recent "upgrades", the same on the MT07 and that didn't even include the USB plug. They seem to be falling behind and not really delivering anything considering the size of the company. And who would want Yamaha monitoring everything they do through that app? Always watch what the left hand is doing, as they dangle shiny things infront of you.
@@onlyfoolriding8223 yea that's a pluck to the nuts for sure... Hopefully it's just the screen and nothing else lol.. Hell, maybe I can even take the new model screen and install it on my 22..😅😅
