Very cool! And the waffles were delicious (even though my addition of baking powder created a little bit of an overflow mess :) ).

I have the same model, but my top iron isn’t heating up, would you think it’s the coil, thermal fuse or something else, bottom plate heats up

Would you like another one to see if you can fix it, I'll ship it to you free :) I have given up :(
Can't figure out the issue. I bought this unit off ebay broken, The waffle grid is good/unused but the casing (Base) was destroyed as well as the power cord frayed. I epoxied the case back together, had to replace the thermal fuse as well as repair the electrical plug. Those all pass continuity testing and don't short. Display and switch work but if I connect any of the elements or sensor to the PCB control board it trips my GFCI. Measuring resistance across the elements I get around 11 ohms. I currently have wires 1,3,4 disconnected from PCB (Sensor labeled as wire 1 and live input from power as 5).
If you got any pointers or suggestions I am all ears as well? Not sure if my issue is a bad component on the PCV or same issue you had with the element switch or perhaps something else entirely.
