Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video! You helped a friend 3 years later with the same problem. I opened my sandwich grill and everything looked like new, with the exception of the fuse. If it wasn't for your video, I would've gone to the store to buy another fuse. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Same here. Saludos a los hermanos ticos
That was an excellent video. You made it so simple to understand and your English skills are fantastic and your speech so clear. I am in Australia, but our machines are no different. I took mine apart to clean it then I forgot how to put it back together! Your video has shown me where everything is meant to attach. Thanks.
This is my good luck that I have such nice and kind viewers. Stay tuned and sub with bell ion and all.
My grill broke and I wondered if it was a fuse. Sure enough, it was so thanks for posting this.
The fuse is there as an overheat Safety device in the event of a fault. They are readily available, Cheap and easily replaced. What you've done and shown others to do is Dangerous. People wonder why the repair industry has a bad reputation, all they have to do is watch videos like this to understand why. Absolutely disgusting.
For no reason you are just cretisizing. Such behavior isn't good. Look at your channel. You haven't uploaded a single second video clip. Even not a stollen video! If you aren't able to give single word of knowledge, why do you try to stop 🛑 others from doing so? You are just trolling and trying to hammer ⚒️ others with your bullsit knowledge and attitude. People like you don't do anything and they try to keep others also ignorant of education and knowledge. With such behavior and attitude you don't watch other people videos or minimum don't comment is such bad way.
@@JahanZeb1976 Going on this video, the knowledge that your supposedly imparting to people is DANGEROUS. If your going to continue giving people your so called knowledge, at least tell them the correct way to do a repair and not by doing bodge jobs and bypassing safety devices. I wasn't criticising for no reason but for the simple reason that what you were showing is bad practice and as I've already said: DANGEROUS, if your supposedly an Engineer then you should know better. Not giving people as you put it Knowledge is a lot better than giving them bad knowledge as your doing. If your so confident in the validity and safety of the "knowledge" that your dispensing to the as you have called them ignorant, why when someone makes a valid criticism of what your doing do you become excessively defensive, crude and abusive ?. Could it possibly be that you yourself are actually the ignorant one and not your subscribers ?. Please don't bother to answer that, it was a rhetorical question to which I'm pretty sure I already have the answer.
@@rscelectrical7091ro he's proud about it LOL im not even a tech but i really appreciate this tutorial im also not dumb enough not to know what is the use of thermal fuse 💀 r.i.p to all begginers watchig this video
I was a tech and this guys setting you up for failure!
The original comment about it being a thermal fuse is correct.
That red wire is right up against a hot plate that can eventually burn through to an *unshielded* AC wire.
That is why it's there.
Anyone who has worked with something that pulls that many amps without resistance would tell you to *replace the fuse* or expect your home to burn to the ground when you use it.
I bet this guy likes to play Russian roulette with himself.
I wish to thank you Sir for this vlog, it helped me solve my issues with my griller. You have been very helpful .
That's awesome if it helped you. Thanks for your values feedback.
This was EXACTLY what happened to my sandwich maker -connection to the heating element came out, AND the fuse blown. I would have missed fuse, or as it's difficult to find a new one, I would have trashed the whole grill. THANK YOU for your video!
Thank you sir
For that information people can learn very easy because you explain very good God bless you...
I was going to throw mine away but I came across with your video and then I could fix it thanks to you! Great video, keep up the good work, Cheers from Canada.
Thanks! Fixed my grill by watching. Good stuff!
Thanks dear friend for watching and liking.
Excelent video that solved my problem. The fuse was broken and the fix really did the trick!
Great stuff my friend. We can all use home repair knowledge.
You turned me on to LearningZone one day in a comment on a SMA video. Thanks!
Oh that's cool, thanks for the comment. This guy is great right?
he fixes darn near anything. A real joy to watch
You know that those thermal fuses blow for a reason? And in terms of safety you should replace one with same characteristics, not just use a wire fix? Then again, it is your house...if the sandwich grill ever catches fire...
Somewhere such manufacturers put certain fuses to run their and service center business. If safety was a concern, fuse could be placed in cord plug too. So such fuses replacement with a piece of wire is a smart idea. Regards, 🙌
Nice work Jahan and the customer should be happy in not having to buy another grill. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much dear sir. You are right, the unit is working fine now and this was a basic electrical repair video for common household. Regards,
Brilliant video mate, much appreciated.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing, very helpful. Might consider replace the thermal fuses for safety purposes.
Friend, you are very good in giving a lot of knowledge and especially in English. Congratulations.
You are awesome, thanks for showing us how to fix this.
Lol.. Not to criticize your work, but the thermal fuse is there to avoid burning down your house, and soldering in areas with that much heat is at best risky. It will get brittle over time. Still, the wire you use to replace the fuse is so thin it probably will do as a kind of safety device anyways.. Good luck!
You are right in all aspect and you admitted that what I did is even right using a thin wire as fuse. The fuse consists of actually a thin wire thinner than your wiring. So it may blow in case of a short circuit. Stay tuned.
beernutsonline after reading the burn your house down comment I realized since I don't know a single thing about wiring etc I should just...idk...save money to get a new George foreman grill.it was working fine few days ago then I heard some static sounds coming from the low medium and high setting as I turned it and the red light flickered.it worked two more times after that then stopped working completely.
Yes the thermal fuse rating of 240 degrees means that the fuse will blow if the temperature exceeds 240 degrees. Without the fuse the heating elements would get hotter and hotter and hotter without anything to trigger a shutdown. Those fuses are less than $1 a piece.
And sir your speaking behaviour is very nice 👍 and your English is very well you should in England.
Excelente, gracias a este video puedo reparar mi tostadora.
Thanks it was really helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
thank you big help i fixed it,im just cleaned thermostat
Good :-D that didnt take you too long to recover it :-D.
That device looks like it has been through a war lol, hopefully the owner will give it a scrub with antibacterial spray and plastic scrubber, food needs to be made in clean conditions, would be bad if it made someone ill :-( :-(.
The two strands you used for the fuse didnt look thick enough, they may burn out later.
You could have bypassed that fuse anyway, the plug would have had a fuse in it :-D.
The earth is important if the heating element becomes shorted to the metal, it provides a protection, better to blow a fuse than hurt a human :-).
Very well done tutorial, thanks a lot!
it was very helpful ..saved some 100's of bucks..
Thanks for the help. Fixed my Electric Skillet
That's great if instruction helped you figuring out your defective unit bact to life. I'm sure you learned and enjoyed a lot in the repair process.
Good Work...

I understood dear friend. I was just kidding. You are very nice!
What type of thermostat controller switch is used in this sandwich maker? 'Normally closed' or 'Normally open' type ? What temperature ? TQ
Hi. I have one like this one. But when I plug it in. It goes on for one second. And then the circuit breaker goes off. When I was cleaning it maybe a few drops of water 💧 went in machine. Can you tell me who to get it back working please? Thank you
i wish i would've seen this before i threw it away good video
yeah it would be great if you survived that. Hope you will make your equipment in good state in future.
Like it it’s very difficult folt r u solutions
Thanks for your good expl..tion
Thanks for your valued comment. Stay tuned and blessed.
Very good knowledge. How can I get a new thermostat and where can I buy it in the UK.
Thanks for watching and nice comment. These thermostats are available as spares from electrical supplies stores of your area.
Can you show a video of how the hinges attach
Nice video 👍
Super brother
Is there a way to adjust thermostat to a higher temprature?
Thanks for the help
sir wonderful lecture thank you
سلام مالكم GREAT JOB!
Thanks.
Salaam sir why did you bridge the fuse surley you could purchase another 10 amp fuse PS good videos on toyota corollas
The rewired fuse is the alternate of the 10A. Fuse is actually the same a thin wire. This video is not regarding Toyota Corolla. lol.
good explanation as always. ^_^
Bhai mera nonstick coating kharab ho chuka hai. Kahase nonstick coating plate milta hai??

There is only one.
Nice 👍
Great video. But 12 ads is a big turn off as far as subscribing.
Thanks for liking and commenting. As for as ads are concerned, they are paying. There is no other single mean to keep this work up. Only ads are the source. So please bear with us. Sub if you like more uploads from me. Regards and best wishes.

@@JahanZeb1976 , Thanks sir to Notify, but I Replaced 5 pcs one by one. Actually instead of open its continue and Heaters become Red and this Thermostat short.....First Time I stuck in this unit....Because Naturally it should open on overheat and Disconnect Supply to Heaters..😔
Bhai mera ye esa toaster hai mujhe lgta hai ki uski power kum hai. Matlab usme toast bnane ho to normal toaster se double se b jada time me brown hote hain. Or itni der rakhne se bread bhi rubber jesa ho jata hai. To i guess agar heating element jo abhi 400 watt ka installed hai use double 800 W krdu. Kya ho sakta hai? Aur Kya thermostat bhi change krna pdega. Agar ho skta to kitni value ka?

thanks to your video i checked the fuse of my grill. its a smart and creative thing you did there with to grains(
No it's not a smart and creative thing he did, it's irresponsible and dangerous. The part he removed and bypassed is a thermal safety fuse and is designed to go open circuit to prevent overheating and possibly the appliance melting / catching fire, manufacturers don't just fit them for fun. Thermal safety fuses are readily available and quite cheap / simple to replace, they should not be soldered in place but crimped into the circuit with the brass terminals that are made for the purpose to ensure the continued safety of the appliance.
@@rscelectrical7091 yes, that's why he put a few small wires in there so it would still burn out. those wires will still be a whole lot thinner than whatever wire is used in the rest of the house. i though that was ingenious. the thing won't overheat and catch fire because it has a built in thermometer so it switches of. that's what the 2 lights indicate. red for i'm warming, green for saying it's at operating temperature. but you are correct that the proper way wouldn't have been much more expensive.
thanks for answering my question about the solder though!
@@thisname1is1sukzable Unfortunately the wires used probably won't burn out before it overheats and causes irreparable damage, that's why thermal fuses are chosen rather than just standard gauge wire. A thermal fuse will open at a reasonably specific temperature and cut power before the element overheats too much, the wire used is not temperature sensitive so will continue passing current even though the appliance is overheating. The thermal control on the appliance is there to turn power to the element on / off to control the heating of the element. However these can and do fail, very often with welded contacts. A control with welded contacts can't regulate power to the element so it continues to heat up, this is when you find out why the manufacturer went to the expense of installing a thermal fuse rather than just using a straight piece of wire. Believe me: Anyone who tells you that the manufacturer puts the fuse there for the sake of it or just so they can make more money, hasn't got a clue what they're talking about.
@@rscelectrical7091 oh okay, so it's for when the automatic thermal regulation thing fails. I thought it was because of the current. thank you for your elaboration bud!
@@thisname1is1sukzable Hi Chris: Your welcome mate, apologies if it seemed a bit snappy & long winded but people bypassing safety devices is a bit of a Red rag for me. After over 40 years in the industry and having seen the results many times, I tend to get a bit bent out of shape when I come across it. Your dead right: Solder should never be used in this situation always crimps, they're readily available and cost peanuts.
Bhai mere machine ki grill coli kharab ho chuki hai koi upay bataye
when i just plug in my sandwich toaster my home electricity went away
it was my luck to have a breaker at home.i dont know what actually happened to it.
can i do anything myself to repair it?
It seems there is a short circuit somewhere in your machine. It could be in its cable, power plug or inside the machine. You can easily diagnose it and can repair it if you understand a little. You may watch my video again once or twice and try to follow the diagnostic steps to understand the fault location. Once you troubleshoot and diagnose it, the repair would be very simple. Best regards,
dude....swat those flies FFS!!
