As a person who using both Sony and Fujifilm camera, I have to say i prefer Fujifilm for photograph and Sony for video recording. Of course both can be swapped for intend of usage but Sony's autofocus is something beyond whatever other brand's camera product right now. I usually works with customer and they do love instant result no matter which camera i used.
I am a Nikon fan. I have D800 and it's always my to go camera. Last year I went to Japan, and my brother lend me his Fujifilm XT40 as it's much smaller and very portable. It was my first time using it and I fell in love with Fujifilm camera since then.

Bought fujifilm as my first camera. I loved the photos of fujifilm but the video is kinda bad. I switched to canon for a year and I missed the colors of fujifilm. X-S10 launched and it convinced me to go back to fuji again because of the improved video capabilities. Fujifilm the best!
The reason you think smartphone photos are better is because of their amazing computational photography techniques. Their end results in JPEG shall be way better than average photo editors. However, if you use Fujifilm cameras which has higher camera technical specs than smartphones, the JPEG produced in the camera is better than smartphones and average photo editors.

If it's the same F value (aperture) and same shutter speed, the exposure (amount of light entering the sensor) will be the same. Sony and Fujifilm use slightly different ISO scales.
I have Sony and owned XT3 for a couple of months. I prefer Sony all the way for photography and video. Fuji is good but smaller sensor cant compete with FF. Also I prefer Sony colors more and Sony raw is much much better for post processing. Actually there is no comparison at all except maybe in size or weight.
I find that lightroom does not properly display Fuji's color and exposure right most of the time for raw images. It's always very different from the jpeg sooc.
I have used both these cameras extensively. Both are good cameras. In fact, there arent too many bad cameras in the market. I always loved clicking with Fuji, It stops there. Sony is a full-frame camera. It has better low-light performance, more lens choices, better bokeh (for portraits), and better dynamic range (I am not sure)? I personally didn't like Fuji for landscape photography. It's good for street photography, though. Another trap with Fuji is, slowly you will be inclined to buy their GFX series { because using Fuji APS-Cs and love for that brand, you will definitely fall for their GFX, because the difference you will find is huge }, I almost fell for it :) Not that it's a bad choice. It's a good camera. If you stick with Full Frame, trust me, you will be happy * until some other brand shakes you up.
Both are good cameras, the silver lining are both racing to have better color by that mean, they should look like what your eyes see. That means they both racing to the same goal. soo, i just look for other feature like what are they offer for Autofocus or better feature. And don't forget to chose camera for your needs, not others opinions.

I’d say Fujifilm has much more character out of the box, no need to spend X hours in Lightroom to modify pictures, and you can change presets live. Sony is a chirurgical camera that is super sharp (maybe too much), rarely misses a focus or anything at all, however I’m not ready to spend that extra time in softwares. When you modify Sony’s pictures, Fujifilm ones are already posted online and backed up in your SSD
Sony. Largely for photo quality and weather sealing. Fuji cameras tend to brake and overall arent trustworthy. As for the "colours" and other staff - I get whatever colours I want at the post. Production.

It's unfair to compare Sony and Fuji this way. Your settings are biased more towards the Sony and left Fuji's unique features untouched, e.g., Film simulation and in camera post processing into JPEG files. It would be a great comparison if you include sooc JPEG files at the end of your video. Fujifilm camera is very popular because of it's sooc JPEG which are normally better than most amateur photo editors.
I prefer Tomoya's photos, greatly in part because the exposure on Akiya's photos was too low, too dark.

元々はSONY愛好家でしたが、今はフジとSONY両方使ってる者です。昔はボケ命！みたいな感じに思ってフルサイズといえばSONY！みたいなノリで使ってましたが、やはり「ここではそんなにボケない方が写真としては良い。でも明るさを減らしたくないからこれ以上絞りとシャッター速度を減らせない。」という時にAPS-Cセンサーが強いなあって思いますし、フジさんも「フルサイズの高画質に負けないように作ってる」とおっしゃってるぐらいのカメラなので、そうゆう時に愛用させてもらってます。なのでフルサイズが全てでは無いのだと、実感させられました。
I like that APS-C lenses are much smaller/lighter than full-frame lenses too. That's the big benefit of Fuji cameras, to me.

写真に関して言えば、わたしは家族やスナップを撮るだけでSONY機ほどのAFはいらないこと、フィルムシミュレーションでRAW現像なしの気軽なカラグレが楽しめることから、フジがとても気に入っています！
フジ機の暗所性能もわたしの使い方ならあまり問題なく、どうしても困ったらZV-E1様に任せてます！

ご存知でしたら申し訳ないのですが、x-pro3は液晶画面が隠れてて見にくいのが売りですので、入門でしたら少し癖があるかもしれないです💦個人的にはx-s10が扱いやすいかな、と思いますが、ダイアルの軍幹部のアナログ体験をしたいのであれば、x-t2かx-t3をおススメします！
ちなみに私は、x-s10でミラーレスデビューして、やっぱりFUJIFILMのカメラ使うならダイアル軍艦部がアナログなカメラが使いたくなり、x-t5に買い替えて一年、他のカメラに目移りしなくなりました！個人的な使用感なのですが、参考になれば幸いです⭐︎

That's not the XF 23mmF1.4 R LM *WR*, that's the older 23mmF1.4 with the clutch focus ring.

すんごく初心者の質問になってしまうのですが、aps-cとフルサイズで同じ環境下、F値、シャッタースピード、ISOを全く同じ設定で撮った場合明るさは同じになりますか、？
フルサイズの方が明るく撮れる、1絞り分フルサイズの方が明るくなる、っていう話も聞いたことあるのですが、富士のapscカメラとLUMIXのs5m2xで同じ設定で撮った時に明るさ変わらなかったのでどっちなんだろうな、って思いまして…！
今回のAKIYAくんの動画のように、同じ設定だとapsc機の方が少し暗くなるはずです。。。

Both really good camera & result. The different is black color. Fujifilm black color is darker, which is better.

Fujifilm looks more natural. A touch of retro film. The photos taken with the Sony camera look a bit too digital for my taste.

Both companies are japanese, so i support both of em, i can edit the raw files in lightroom... i do think that fuji has a better lens selection.
