Such a powerful interview and an incredible woman. It’s a shame our perspectives of Afghanistan and the Middle East are so negatively conditioned through media, and ignorance.

I'm not sure how Ale pulled this video off - securing an interview with such a prominant Afghani woman. Her family's heritage and lineage is quite amazing so to hear her talk about her first trip to her motherland was quite moving. I would note that her upbringing in the US was probably NOT the norm compared to most Afghani children as she came from a family of privilege. The moment she stated that she was from a Virginia suburbs here in the US, that reveals that she was part of the Washington DC crowd which hosts mostly wealthy international families. This also explains why her family was so against her going back to Afghanistan. I do commend her for going with her heart and coming back to her country to seek the truth. Ale hit a HUGE homerun with this video.

Another great episode! I'm a bit behind in watching them all due to spending 5 days in a local hospital with Congestive Heart Failure, I had to be rushed to the hospital on Christmas day, right before dinner!! But all is well and I'm feeling great!! Tom L Buffalo, NY USA

So much poverty there in Afghanistan. You hear about families needing to sell their young children just to buy food and pay off debt. This is something that needs to be addressed. I would love to help!

Such an interesting and high quality video. We in the west don’t get the complete picture of what’s happening in Afghanistan. The MSM only tell us the dark side of this country. There’s obviously a beautiful side that we don’t get to see. Although I’m not sure as a white westerner I would feel safe at this time. Hopefully this will change in time.

Ale, just an outstanding series, beautifully shot and edited!
Ending it with someone who has such a deep connection despite being raised in Merica truly illustrates how your past impacts your future.
I feel for her, growing up in a place where “white is right”, is be beyond my personal understanding, and her longing to witness her past must be overwhelming.
This series showed the real Afghanistan from your perspective and I thank you for showing the people, their lives and the beauty that western governments and media deny exists.
    Well,done sir, with sincere thanks!
    Rick

Incredible interview ❤ The country of course looks breathtaking ❤ What we see in the West... Read about...is people wanting to leave to have a better future for their children. Majority western views worldwide views are never against the beauty of the country, it's history or its people. It's fear deep sadness of the running the country with severe laws against females, against education for them and it seems many other things. 🇦🇫❤

It,s good to love your country (=patriot). It must be a fascinating country. But the oppression and bloodshed cannot be overlooked. No freedom of speech, religion etc. We have Afghan friends there, tortured and starved in prison bc of other religion than the Taliban,s. Taliban taking people,s taking everything away from who is not their religion. And, I don,t think she wants to live there as a woman. No education over 8th or so grade, no college, no work outside home. Absolute dominance if men over women.
