Hi Peter, I was wondering if I could use an ABS module from a 2012 on my Corolla which is a 2010 model year. The ABS module I wanted came out of a 1.8L engine same as mine. Thank you
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor I purchased a used ABS module on eBay. I put in my year, make and model on and it said the part does fit. I received it and attempt to replace it but the two fluid holes on the side is smaller than the one I originally had. I can't use it. I tried to see if I could just swapped the module out. Luckily I did it on mine because it wouldn't separate unless I did it incorrectly. There's one part inside the module that seems to be connected to the pump and has 3 metal pins that seem to be attached to the pump. I pulled on it in order to separate the pump from the module. I don't know if there is a way to separate the two without damaging the unit?
Peter thank you for this video. 1. when removing do I have to worry about brake fluid under pressure? 2. Should I remove brake fluid from master cylinder before?
Onkohan noissa pakko olla joka ikinen numero sama? Vai riittääkö että pari numeroa sattuu kohdilleen, Mietin kun on bensa ja diesel version abs yksikköä. Tässä t22 etsiskelen uutta käytettyä.
Excellent work Peter! I bet that the mechanism inside this ABS Hydraulic pump is very interesting! Next step is to investigate it!!!!
You bet. 😃
Thanks for the tutorial , Great stuff
Question : do the replacement module has to be programmed? Thanks for your time and attention
Yes

Engine turned off. You can open the hoses carefully. There is no pressure. There is no need to remove the liquid.
