You should invest invest in either solder braid or a solder sucker. Leaving the old wire remnants and solder is asking for a failure.

Hey! i crashed my mavic to a bush and broke trhee props... im waiting for new props to come on the mail but im not sure are any of my motors broken. What does a broken motor sound like when you spin it without turning the drone on, or how to know is the motor broken?

U should take props off when repairing...also u should have used a soldering braid and taken the old wires completely out. And why hold in your hand to test?. Also flight over water with clients drone!

You might consider taking the blades/props off for this repair in the future? Great video! Where do you get the tool to take the screws out, and where did you get those pry tools?

I'll have to agree with Michael leaving part of the wire mixed in with the solder like that wasn't the best move. Secondly, you should have left more of the wire back where the arm folds giving it more strain relief. If you compare it to the other side you can see there is going to be more flexibility when folding the arm under and less chance of wear and breakage in the future. You had more of the wire near the solder points when the excess should have been back at the arm. Lastly, check and see if you need a new tip on the soldering pencil. It shouldn't have taken that long for the solder to melt.

I too agree that a soldier sucker is a great investment. it's a good idea to periodically clean the tip, then tin it as well.

Could you just cut the wires a few inches from the board , slide heat shrink over each wire, solder wires together, shrink the tape, and Bob's your Uncle.? Thank you for the video, nice to know what is involved, and that parts are available..

I broke down my Mavic. Please show us how to unassembly front motors! Nobody do it on youtube or any place on internet.

I crashed my Mavic. Now the fan does not come on in the Mavic causing it to over heat and shut off. I have the 'care refresh' plan . Now fighting with DJI with proof before sending it off for repair. I would like to know where the fan is located and is it a easy repair? Thanks
