- You can easily buy the motors for a fraction of the price of purchasing the entire arm.
When ordering the Motor make sure to get the correct one they two types one is Clockwise, and the other is Counter Clockwise. You can tell the direction of revolution by looking a the propellers.
The motor can be purchased on eBay for a very reasonable price. For example here is one listing on eBay but it's coming from China www.ebay.com/itm/254845501504
Try to see if you can find one locally so that you can get it faster. Наука
Smart idea to use the shrink tube. My Air 2S needs an arm replacement, but the motor is still functional. I can save $40 dollars with this technique!
Thank you, and good luck with the project!
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 thanks! I only had it for 5 minutes before I crashed it… more reading needed before my next flight 😅
@@shanemitchellspencer Good luck and safe flights 🙂
Thanks a lot thanks for the detailed work did a great job. And I know how to do it if I have any problems .THANKS.
You're very welcome!
Great video
Thank You!
muito bom seu vídeo!
Thank You!
Ok, tks friend, you are the one
No problem
Excellent
Thanks
Thank you sir😊😅
You are very welcome! :-)
Hi - thank you for the video. Do you have a link to the other video you mentioned for disconnecting and reconnecting the black part that holds the propeller to the motor that has to be transferred to the new motor? Thanks again.
I think this video covers that ruclips.net/video/cGlJCQialEo/видео.html
Is ech motor of every arm the same??
So can i take a motor from front left leg and replace with this the motor of a back roght leg?
No they are not the same, one rotates clockwise and the other counter clockwise aka ( Anticlockwise )
One of the tabs that holds the prop onto the motor broke off and went into the motor. Any tips for how to get it out other than holding upside down and hoping it falls out?
If you can visually see it you can use a fine pair of tweezers to fish it out. If you can't see it shacking it upside down or using a vacuum is the only option I think.
Can you please make video of replacement of front motor?
Sure, I will do that as soon as I get another one on my hands.
Is the mavic 2 pro and mavic 2 zoom are the same kv?what kv it is?tq
Yes they are identical, only the camera mechanism is different. I believe they are both 1003 KV, but I am not 100% sure.
Can you tell me why the dji drone (eg dji mini 2) runs out of battery, so why when I have charged the battery to use it, I want to store it for a long time without fully discharging it. Just like when the new dji sold, thank you!
All Lithium ion batteries naturally drain when they are unused at a rate of about 10% per month give or take. This drainage rate is higher on some Lithium Polymer batteries. So even when you buy a brand new drone the battery can never be 100% full when you open the box.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 So can I discharge the battery 🪫 (LiPO) for long-term storage like the manufacturer? Thank!
@@123jack7 NO...Charge it fully before storing, it will go down to a ceretain level on its own providing you have done the battery updates.. mini 2 has smart battery and will self discharge to the point it needs to be over 6 weeks or so.
Hi what awg is the motor wire please
Hi, it is a 22 AWG cable, although it appeared to me that it was a 20 AWG. You can see the AWG measurement at 6:22
Can u show me how to get the front arm apart on a mavic air 2
As soon as I get one I will do that, currently I only have the DJI Phantom 3 and Mavic 2 on hand.
Do you know how to test the motors for a bad motor with a multi meter.
Got a burnt ecu board after a crash
The easiest way to test any DC motor is to attach a volt meter to the input wires and spin the motor with your hand and see if there is any current generated. If the coil is not burned out you will see some voltage and current, it if is completely burned you will not get any output. Keep in mind that if the motor coil is partially burned this will not be a conclusive diagnostic test, so you will need to apply power to it and see if it spins.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 ok that’s that helps 👍
I would like to change my motor I live in Albany New York where is the closest location
Sorry we are only in San Diego California, we don't have a location in New York.
can i have another link to the motor

Is it possible to upgrade to a more powerful motor?
Unfortunately you can't for many reasons. Firs the transistor or FET that runs this motor is only designed to support that specific amount of current that this motor draws. If you upgrade it to a more power full motor it will draw more current and it could burn out the power transistors on the motherboard. Second the weight of this motor is very light compared to it's power, stronger motors are much heavier. Third the battery pack will not support more current draw than what these motors draw.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 interesting, I only assumed it would be possible because people are upgrading their Avata motors
@@AlexGreenberg1 DJI drones are mostly proprietary and not as customizable as home-built drones.
"Based on the size of the whole, you chose the right one" are we still talking about the motor here sir?
Both the Motor and the Heat-shrink tubing.
Sobi cud replace the motor without cutting the wires
You could if you take apart the Motor, but I wanted to be least intrusive
