I like the Norman ballcap although I only wear the comfort fit style and not the trucker hat with that yucky snap back. Is there a option for a comfort fit ballcap style? Sorry to be a Debbie Downer... LoL. Is the quoted, "Elastic band." a solid back on the hat or is it a snap-back style?
Sleds acting funny, lets go deeep;)
Timmy!! Just watched the Iditarod start with ya! Y’all are great folks to follow
Timmmmyy!!!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Hi Timmy! Just watched your last video when you posted…awesome!
Lol, that is what I was thinking. Nothing like the sinking feeling one gets when a machine fails you after many miles into the froze back country.
That gave me anxiety! Never thought a video could do that
Truck House Life sent me here
Ya me too!!!! Really good channel!!! Binging him now ❤
Me too.
Hello Matt, nice video, these are the kind I like. Here's a tip, I am born and raised here 76 years and have lived in the Bush many of those years. I never take a any kind of pad with me, when I get to a camping spot Winter or Summer, I lay Spruce boughs down, They are comfortable, insulate from the cold and smell good as well. Hope to see more videos like this. When will we start seeing your wife in the videos? Thanks for sharing.
So glad Timmy sent me here. Big mahalos! 🤙🏼
Glad you made it back safe !!! Looks so cold out in the trails, I know I’m not brave enough but thanks for taking us alone , that way I get to enjoy !!!!!
Actually, You Two Are TRUE ALASKAN BUSHMEN. AWESOME

Awesome!!! Looks like a blast!
This makes me happy. Great film!
My husband and I enjoy watching your videos. You are very talented with your building techniques. We found you through Tim! Truck house life.
Great video! One thought for a better sleep....a cot. There are many that fold down compactly and weigh next to nothing. Throw an Eddie Bauer down blanket on the cot and your sleeping bag ...good to go. Rough sleeps suck! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Looks like you all had a lot of fun I'm checking out your other friend's channel right now
Steve need for speed. Over the fire. Enjoyed it thanks

Good morning I like in Massachusetts and I love watching your RUclips videos
I’ve got the same tent, a lightweight or even normal cot will make all the difference in comfort and warmth.
Enjoyed this video and now Enjoying the two albums I've downloaded! Cheers cabin Man!👍

Fun adventure to watch
Great explore. Thanks for sharing your video. 🇨🇦
Fun looking adventure.
Welcome back . Great video
Plan on purchasing your music. Been missing your videos. Glad to see you again
You could have used some of those pine boughs as a barrier between you and the snowy bottom of the tent. ✌️🐾🇱🇷
Maybe we should all be a beaver 🦫 a magical Animal!
Just use some baking powder with super glue and it will be hard as steel... Just a tip for these type of expeditions...
Hello, the video was interesting🍁🍁🍁
I subscribed to Steve's channel. Alaskan adventure content creators are some of the best on RUclips.
Gonna make a hot water bottle for this one
Nice!
Awesome video!
That was cool! Can't wait for the next video. Whenever I'm watching your channel, I am questioning my sanity and wondering if this city life even makes sense. I miss our mountain cottage back in my home country 😢
Where was Norm
The first thing that crossed my mind, probably at wife's place tho
Great video! I envy you Matt, I used to be able to do the camping in the wilderness thing, but age has caught up with me, so I enjoy watching someone else, it brings back memories. Beautiful country, and definitely the last wilderness untouched by man. Enjoy your youth and keep making videos for us older ones.
Great video....:)
Don't let anyone come there. Maintain the way it is.
Doesn’t matter how old young men get, they will always be silly when bevving
Good luck to you x
the reason of whiskey 🥃 he jumped on the fire..!!!😅
Salmon Jerry. ❤
One question : Why don't snow machines have electric push button starters like everything else now days ?
Batteries don't like cold weather
I really don't know though because they could have both
23.00 otter tracks, not beaver! Great ride and video!
Your comment about the contrast between the scenery you find where you live and the cities you've been to reminded my of this lyric, "God made the mountains, God made the sky. God made the people, God knows why. He fixed up the planet as best as he could and in come the people and gum it up good" The First Thing You Know, from Paint Your Wagon.
time to buy a four stroke no recoil on them and the starters on them are supper good i have had mine start just fine at -30 to -40 just fine
Cool adventure! Burning those damn fossil fuels!lol😊. Love your voice and narration, and music!❤. If I were to purchase some of your music, am I able to use it on my RUclips videos? Just curious. Anyway, love your channel…Timmy turned me on to it!😊
Booze left? That's a penalty!!! Loved this!! TY!!
Gonna share a tip for you about smoked salmon strips, im an alaskan now but in my chachacko years here in this beutiful place I was taught by a very dear freind of mine about our most over looked smoke, but it has to be harvested in a pitcular way, that's the smoke from the cotton wood tree before you disclaim this idea, it was to be claimed from a saltwater soaked cotton wood tree, in other words a cottonwood driftwood absultly no bark on it tho, the bark of the cottonwood is your enemy in this receipts, if you use this as a cold smoke in your smoke house it'll change the way you smoke strips. L9ve your channel hello from palmer ak
You sound like Mike Rowe
Great adventure bro luv it but 20 gallons of fuel ? Must be a long haul be safe out there
Caribou hides for insulating under your sleeping bag my guy. Complete insulation from the ground, and they don’t pop.
I noticed your Ski Doo Summit. A great sled but not usually considered a freight hauler to the back country. Do you prefer that over something like a Skandic?
I’d love to have a sled for every occasion but since I mostly was mountain riding when I bought it, it’s what I got. Definitely would prefer a super wide 900 turbo for this kind of mission 👀👀…but the summit does the job just fine. Hauled lots of wood and gear with mine many times. Thanks for watching.
I love the chair. What is it?
I’m Aussie so know nothing about snow machines but do they make snow machines with electric starts?
Cool! This is going to be a gooder! You always deliver so I am really looking forward to a great snowmobile adventure. >@^_*@
What's the r-value on your sleeping pad?
So I have a question. When does your warm weather start?
Typically between mid April and May it starts to stay above freezing.
@@alaskacabinadventures Thank you 😊
Great episode! Didn't you once say your wife has a channel? If so, what's the name of it? TIA!
I've watched about half of your video but I can't imagine WHY anyone would think this was fun. Too cold and dangerous for this old lady! You guys enjoy your miserable trip!
You have a cargo sled...get a cot!!!! HA HA
Would pine boughs piled high help to sleep on?
American's and Canadians are notorious in finding bad spots for their camping. How can you put your tent in the middle of the open area, if In the middle of the night starts some storm or heavy wind you're tent will be blown away.
“My recoil just broke” immediately shuts off the sled 🤦♂️
I’m pretty good with a clutch start, and I was gonna need to test the recoil to decided if I was gonna continue.
@@alaskacabinadventures
Fair enough.
Looked like a fun adventure! 👍
How deep is the snow in that video?
what have you done with your dog?
you might need a new clutch
Wouldn’t raising yourself off the ground to sleep be better temp and comfort ?
Nice thick bed of spruce boughs for your sleep would work
You co.uld have cut boughs from the trees and put them under your pad to sleep off the ground.
Meow.
Doesn't that snowmobile have an electric starter?
Don't like cutting trees, what could be an alternate option, may be LPG cylinder 30 kg for a night to keep us warm and for cooking food as well
These are dead trees. But yes, they make gas heaters for these tents too
Is it legal in Alaksa to cut random trees or is this public property? I guess a private owner would not be happy if everyone did this.
