Beoplay A1 2nd gen. All the details you need to know! In this video I take a first look and listen to the Bang & Olufsen A1 second gen 360 degree speaker. This small compact Bluetooth speaker brand new in 2020 is £200 retail. Is it really worth that sort of money? It is tuned really well.
Like you showed on FR graphs: at 100% volume it has the best linear response.
If you wanted it to go louder like the other brands do, it would change response to boosted highs only with recessed bass.
If you consider this very small form factor I think it's the best BT speaker in it's class.

Awesome review 💪🏻 have you tested Jbl partybox 100? It's kind of big, comparing to this, but for the price you are not getting any better sound, I got mine on sale for 220$ and the bass and sound is great, keep up the good work, always a plesure watching your videos 👍🏻

Hi, I am looking for a bluetooth speaker with good clarify, bass and decent battery life, just wondering if this is the right choice for me? budget around £200or ++ I am still hesitating as I have heard some good and bad things regarding this mini speaker.
@Alan Ross, I bought one to try but not sure if it's me but when listening lower frequencies it almost sounds that the bass is cutting off and makes a sound like someone is punching on a kickdrum (not sure how ot put this). But when listening throughout your video I cannot listen to that so not sure if it is only my unit. I'm returning it back to peter tyson and see if I can get a replacement as apart from that I really loved it. Pitty the Beoplay A2 battery life is such a mess otherwise this would be my preference and very cheap atm on amazon. Great Review btw!

Nope, its not even louder than the tribit maxsound plus.
Has anybody tested using the A1 as a speaker phone? One of the big differences between the 1st gen and 2nd gen is that the 2nd gen is supposed to have 3 microphones that should in theory give it an excellent call quality. The 1st gen has a very poor call quality due to just one mic underneath the speaker. I actually purchased the 1st gen to be used as my tele conference speaker but had to revert back to using my computers built in mic and only use the A1 as a speaker. I am now trying to figure out if it would be worth upgrading to the 2 gen A1 if that issue is now fixed with the 3 microphones.

i have a small budget for speakers 🤪 i do the most interesting ones to me.
For my taste max spl is not everything. The a1 sounds a lot more cohessive than the maxsound which sounds like put through a horn making it piercing sounding and a bit hollow. But just my opinion
a1 first gen is better imho
In terms of sound quality would you recommend this one or a pair of homepod minis

The price is not much different here in Sweden like A1 is just 30 dollar more expensive but of course I will like to know your opinion if u can. the a2 just never had a niche for me, wasnt exciting enough or loud enough at £200 and the form factor limited its uses for me. not true 360 speaker because of the tweeter placement. the bose would be a better travel speaker for me with enjoyable bass.

I can buy 3 wonderboom 2 for a single A1 and can also pair two wonderboom2 for stereo effet, is this worth it ?
hum, probably i would go with two wonderbooms but its not a black and white answer. a1 can do epic low bass for its size the wonderboom wont do. but a1 has multiple other issues.

how is it that you have no review the P6?
due to having a real life, not having unlimited funds and not having an infinite amount of time to try every one of the 1000s of speakers out there. Me with my little channel making no money, have you asked flossy carter the same thing??

Ive got both a1 1st gen and p6, and I must say that p6 is better but no surprise it cost lot more. Battery is way better in p6 and thanks to two full range drivers on each side, and woofer on one side it can play louder
