Great video! I have seen others that remove the center console and a bunch of other unnecessary components. I just did this repair to my wife’s 2007 Eddie Bauer Explorer and there is no more clicking noise and the heat works again! Thank you so much for this video!
I’m glad I came across this video it looks much easier than another one that I viewed. The other video has you take out the entire console. Thanks for the information.
Dude, you are awesome. This is way better than some of the other videos that take the while center console out, stereo and all.... I appreciate the video, thank you.
If the plastic pin doesn’t fit immediately, one thing I found that works is plugging the actuator in but not installing it and turning the key to the on position so you can turn the temperature gauge, in turn, spinning the pin
Use the old actuator to position the slot to line up , I thought I bought the wrong one. Watching the video really helped , I have a 2008 Eddie Bauer explorer .
I took my actuator out took it apart there was no gears damaged I cleaned the contactor inside that quarter turns it had thick grease on it and bent the contacts up a little bit works like new . Save quite a few dollars fixed it in an hour only took off one cover
My Mechanic Says My Blend BOX Needs Replacement, And I Can't Find ANY Videos On Replacing The Box , Or Even A Picture Of It. Mechanic Say's It's Discontinued, Any Ideas?

If at first it doesn't come off, check for a 3rd bolt on the side facing the rear of the car. Thanks for the video.
How did you get the cover next to the radio off?

This is great but how are you supposed to get to the passenger side one for a dual control system? This video is very helpful, though. Thanks!
The 2 screws that are removed at the 1:15 mark, are completely unnecessary to remove.
Super helpful thanks dude! Way eaiser then I thought it would be.

Wow, what a difference one year makes!
I see some familiar faces on this channel. Is it same group of people from 1A Auto?
Perfectly helpful!! Thank you!!
There's a 3rd bolt on my 2006. You have to take a little more out to get to it.
Does this fix the cold air? Because right now it’s just blowing hot air and I was told to replace this.
Thank you so moch

Did all this on my 2010 Explorer Limited and the Actuator is not under the steering column.... also missing a few steps?
