Ah, this episode feels so comfortable to me. My wife and I were childhood friends who fell into dating each other in a similar way: I'd had a little crush on her for years due to her great beauty and sweet, gentle demeanor; she asked me to tutor her in Chemistry and Algebra and came to realize her love for my caring and patient nature (her words). Things didn't really change much at first when we started dating. I used to meet her at her locker and walk her to homeroom every morning for years. We would hang out at lunch together and talk after school sports while waiting for our parents to pick us up. We often did homework together in the library during study hall as we had all the same classes together. None of that changed. But over time we became more physically intimate; it was a gap that closed slowly and incrementally as neither of us were in a rush. It felt like there was never any pressure on me to "figure out the next step" or "be in charge", and I never put any pressure on her to do anything she wasn't comfortable with -- all of which are common problems with young relationships. She always let me know when she wanted things to progress, because we were familiar enough with each other to talk openly and honestly. We've been together for close to 32 years, and this year will be our silver wedding anniversary. I know that such relationships are rare, but they are truly special. If there is someone in your life that could allow you to have a similar experience and if you feel romantically for them, you should consider broaching the subject. When my wife asked me out she wasn't sure how I was going to react; she didn't know I had a crush on her and I had a pretty large circle of friends at school so she was finding it hard to gauge my feeling for her. But she took a chance and things paid off for both of us. If you don't ask you will never know. It's better to deal with the possibility of being turned down than to live with the regret of wondering if you missed out on something truly great with a person you treasure. The pain will pass in time, but the regret will last a lifetime.
@@Helldiver_M1 I'm actually confused as to why you would think this rather dull and normal story is fake. There's nothing unusual or outstanding about it. It's literally just two long-time friends falling in love with each other and slowly building a lasting relationship over the course of many years. If I wanted to fake or even embellish a love story, I certainly wouldn't have written anything so incredibly mundane!
@katsuki-yu1hr At least you can put that possibility behind you and move on. What's important now is how you handle things with your friend. If you can be mature about everything you can continue to be great friends, possibly for the rest of your lives.
Nobody is talking about the way that these childhood friends turn into dating is quite nice and unique is surprising (nobody even confessed, they just dated while having normal convo)
@@isaac2986The transfer student wasn't some major plot device. No contrived situation, no nothing. So I agree, just a nice slice of life between two normal, not eccentric, friends that became closer and closer and fell in love as time passed. It was a pleasant story and amazing how despite her dreams she had someone she loved. She didn't love her dreams, but she had someone she did and took that option. This was a great story.
Only things I would've added was the transfer student meeting the boyfriend, and they become friends after the transfer student offers support for the relationship.
Yeah, it was practically by accident lol. They ended up dating just because that's where the flow of their conversation led without them trying, she just said one single thing slightly "off-script" and the convo just went in that direction, and then when they were done they were just like "huh, I guess we're dating now." Pretty funny but honestly seems like the most natural, chill, and probably healthy way to end up dating someone, no artificial fanfare, hyping up a ton of nervousness and internal tension, fear of basically relying on a 50/50 coin toss that has the power to determine your whole future, nothing, it just...naturally happened solely because that's where the convo decided it wanted to go.
Yasumi calling Ryota arrogance for having a little bit of confidence in himself meanwhile she telling him to beg her and become her slave talk about the pot calling the kettle black 😒 but i gained a little bit of respect for her when koudai her ideal guy that she mentioned came along and asked her out but Yasumi actually remained loyal to Ryota when they were dating 😊 and rejected koudai, props to her for sticking to her guns and staying fateful to Ryota despite him telling her to break up with him it's sweet that they remained a couple.🥰
I feel like these two are literally doing maths in their relationship, solving problems immediately and getting the best answer. It's like watching a speedrun😎
The natural feel and flow of this is relaxing. No deres, no enemies turned lovers, no "I saved her and..." No secret crushes turned real, none of that. Just 2 CHFs naturally advancing the dynamic of their lifelong relationship.
That was pretty damn sweet! I was given the right amount of happiness from seeing their interactions as the story began to show us their couple life. Got me genuinely smiling at the end. Amazing story today!
One of the best rom-com manga stories I watched in a long time. IDK why, but I always like a more casual and relaxed protagonist. As for the love interest, she was a bit arrogant, but it wasn't drawn out extensively. It was just enough to make her pretty cute. Also, that smile when he agreed to her asking him to be her boyfriend was just well drawn. My heart melted, but after she rejected her type for him, it turned to gas and flew out of me. I loved that they had self-realization that they didn't confront their feelings during the begining of their relationship to "officialize things" and decided to do that, cementing their relationship.
Even with how both of them are, it's sweet that Ryota and Yasumi remained loyal to one another and became a couple in the end. If with all that happened they stuck together since childhood and are an adorable loving couple.
the talk about how suddenly the ideal guy pop up is amazing, and for IRL couple it's actually need to be done sooner than that. Yasumi probably changed her preference to Ryota during the course of their relationship, but more often than not females won't speak about it and the males won't know about it either which later brew into confidence issue
Yeah Yasumi calling Ryota arroganace wasn’t really an understatement I mean having confidence isn’t wrong but being to confident let’s to your downfall But Glad they became a loving couple🤎💙 and remain loyal to each other despite the mishaps.
Thank god..m that transfer student gave me an heart attack. I thought yasumi will immediately ditch ryota for him and it will change in some kind of revenge story. But thankfuly i was mistaken. It turned out to be one of the most wholesome manga in a while with good characters, dialogues, voice acting and realistic relationship which naturaly evolved. I liked every bit
Very great video!👍👍👍👍 I'm glad that Yasumi chose Ryota to be her boyfriend. She may have been arrogant, but it's nice that she was being honest about her feelings to Ryota. In conclusion, I wish Ryota and Yasumi good luck as a lovely couple!😊🤎💙💖
What I don't like about the FeMC is how she made no distinction between her ideals and baseline criteria for a guy she'd date. MC asked her what it would take, she listed some stupid unreasonable traits as a baseline, and then she gets mad at him and says that''s just an ideal. It's good that she eventually clarified, but behavior like that really turns me off.
But he IS already happy. The problem he has now is if he can make her happier than the ideal man she described. The conversation was about her and how fitting it would be for her to be with the other guy. Saying that she'll make him happy doesn't really solve his problem. He lacks confidence and she gave him encouragement.
Supporting what the comment above has already said, at that moment they're already on equal grounds so she's saying mc should improve himself to make their relationship work, together
Because she's a woman, he as a male should be the one to prove himself over her dream man(who was not or will never be him). Happy wife, happy life🤷🏾♂
I'd reject her with a simple "I refuse to be a slave to you" and then walk away, ignore her because dang. She is extremely arrogant, like she just spent the past few minutes dissing every girl she could, and also making up a fantasy where I'm proclaiming to be her slave. At least she stopped being so arrogant as the story progressed. Kinda wishing for a different story, where a girl agrees to date her childhood friend, but dumps him when her 'perfect guy' comes along. And then she realizes the entire relationship feels hollow because while she 'likes' the guy, she loves her childhood friend.(Whether it's too late, that's up for others to decide)
That was just playful banter between each other, they know none meant harm to the other. Their discussion of dating wasnt really serious as well at that time
the thumbnail was a bit misleading. the beginning got to me with the "figure" talk. i remember a similar story on here about the girl rejecting one guy as a joke but get's jealous over the mc's cousin at school.2:12 i dunno why but not only her conditions were a tall order, but also a bit of a foreshadow there. 4:07 that offer than getting rejected was much like i mentioned here just now. 4:23 and 7:11 hypocrisy much? yasumi calls ryota arrogant but she wanted him to beg to become her slave.11:08 the truth is out! her ideal man shows up much to my surprise. 12:05 she gained my respect on being faithful to the mc. i would've lost respect for her if she turned tail in a plot twist manner. i was even more surprised that she didn't want to break up with him when her ideal man showed up and even hugged him after he said that. ngl,i'd kill to have a childfriend like that irl. side now,i'm 187cm,black afro, lean but almost muscular but fit. but sadly,i'm jobless lmao😂. by the way,the art style got to me.
