Age 40 was the utter sweet spot - when I turned 40, I cheered. I never thought of it as old, I thought it was the height of my vigor, even though now I just turned 66 and am feeling like I am still 40, still vigorous, still contributing and can say that that feeling of potency at 40 continues on. Turning 40 was great for me. I told someone this week (I'm 54) I am ok with my age because every day on this earth I learn something new. All the mistakes I've made, I can't undo them, but I have gained knowledge from them. You twins look amazing! Happy early 40! Another thing I discovered this last week while going through some old prayer journals is how much my prayers have changed over the years. I'm curious to know if yours have. I hope to see some birthday celebration footage.
Wiki survey says 45 is "middle age" so I was gonna have an epic party but the world was in COVID lock down! Doh. :) 40's are great but they're also really, really intense, as our kids grow up, our parents age, and we're figuring out how to have joy in the middle. I think experiencing certain milestones changes how birthdays feel. I just turned 27 but I'm due with baby #3 in November and we have had a mortgage since we got married at 22. The wisdom my husband and I have gained is likely not going to come to most of our friends, who aren't married yet, until they are in their mid to late 30's. It's nice to be established in a family and rhythm, plus I got really excited when I remembered that developmentally, my brain is past that 25 year-old point of finalizing my prefrontal cortex--> Better decision making power and life wisdom before 30 feels great!🧠🤓

I started the NT this month with my Senior in high and we plan on starting the OT in the new year. We homeschool and I am actually using it as a high school English credit. It’s great too because my son is also doing Biblical Archeology as a science credit. So I think reading the Bible will help tie it all together. We have been loving The Bible Recap! So much so, that now my husband has been joining me in the reading and podcast. I have already had some ah ha moments, that makes so much sense, and find myself pondering and thinking about Jesus throughout my day even more. I especially love that it has created great family conversations. Thank you, Diana! ❤

Two subjects we as parents wanted our kids to have more knowledge and understanding on before they graduate and were non-negotiable to us were Bible and Personal Finance. So what better way than to scoop up an English credit than by reading the Bible and discussing it with your family? And in the process grow in your faith and let the Holy Spirit work in your life. 😉🥰
I had a hard time turning 30 and no kids. We’d been married 6 yrs and dealing with infertility. Lol We make plans and God laughs. I got pregnant 1 month before I turned 30. I had a kids party with family and friends and played games. It was great. 40, 50, and 60 were no problem, 50 was a bit stressful not because of age but my mom was in hospital and dying. My nieces made me a cake. So HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN & DIANA!!! Enjoy and keep thriving!!! HAVE THE BEST DAY/PARTY EVER!!! 🎂🎂🎉🎉🎈🎈💐💐 Kids keep us young too.
