And people forget that UConn not only repeated under Dan Hurley, they did so by an average margin of victory of like 16 points per game. That’s just dominance that can’t be overlooked. Maybe they win it a third time or traditionally with a couple of 6 to 8 point victories rather than 24 point blowouts from the last couple years.
Absolutely! As a UCONN fan I have concerns about the youth. Having said that this is an even more pure talented team than the previous two that won Nattys. So, it should be interesting to see how this shakes out.
@@PrevinEllis They have the talent....but with Duke you could literally say that every single year....LOL. I'm not kidding. I never see a recruiting class under 5 for Duke...
Cobb and Parrish call Duke "young" ; totally ignoring the fact they will start 3 Junior year or older players, plus have another 1-2 in the rotation.... And Cobb glossed over Cooper Flagg... the roster construction looks exactly like it should to build around a star player... as Nata correctly pointed out in the live chat, Cooper is not hype. Portal isn’t about how many guys you get,it’s about the quality of the guys that you do get. And the fit. UConn got two guys. Tarris Reid is a perfect fit as a big alongside Slamson Johnson. Aiden Mahenny is a perfect fit. They actually turned down that guy from Dayton, Brea. ( I forgot his first name).
Parrish: Duke is “undeniably young” Cobb: “I do have questions about Duke’s youth” Guys, this is the oldest Duke team in over a decade. Yeah they got that embarrassingly talented 6-man recruiting class, but the rest of the roster is quite experienced: Gillis (5th season), James (5th), Brown (3rd), Proctor (3rd) and Foster (2nd). Scheyer brought in proven, physical players from the portal who can both defend and shoot. Plus the height on this team is outrageous - no player under 6’5”. By December, pundits will be trying to figure out how they missed on Duke. Underrated at last.
As a UConn fan, not if you lose a lot. I prefer UConn lower in the rankings. Gives Hurley juice. Also I do believe UConn in this scenario should be #1. No one can argue he is the best coach in the league. He’s done more with less than these other “great” coaches
@@davidboniface858 Why is it dumb? It's not like the preseason #1 is guaranteed anything. It's not like the preseason #1 team ends up being the champs at the end of the tle year most years. Everyone is guessing anyway.

@@davidboniface858 Projections are dumb. Since the field expanded to 64 teams out of the 39 preseason #1s, only 6 (15%) won the championship . It's guessing, and it isn't like college football where you only have the top 4 teams making the playoffs. Basketball gets 68 teams in, respect the champs with the first #1.
I see why UConn and Kansas are the top odds to win it all. Both have history of getting to San Antonio. Both really elite programs. Also rematches happen a lot. Uconn (Houston 2011, 2023, Dallas 2014, San Antonio 2004) Kansas (San Antonio 2008 champions, 2018 final four). This Gonzaga take is ridiculously bad lol best/oldest roster they’ve had in years
For real, I honestly they can win it all
If Hurley stays,UConn is #1
Kentucky could be a surprise team and don't count out Arkansas
you can count out Arky because of their coach

40% Jayhawk 40% Hoosier 20% Sun Devil. Stay tuned to this developing situation.
Cobb's perspective is odd to say things nicely lol
Wow freaking Duke u have in top 10
I like UCONN, then Alabama, Then Kansas, Then Duke....and people may be surprised but I think Kentucky..
As an Arkansas fan. I’m very excited to see how Alabama and Kentucky plays against us. On paper. Arkansas embarrass both teams
