I loved the locked on big 12 podcast. Give every b12 team the benefit of the doubt.

Subscribed! I’m a Kansas fan. I’m bummed out when the whole tournament is over. I love college hoops. I like hearing about it even after the season is over. So glad you guys do this!

Great show. I always get bummed out after the Final Four because that means no college hoops until Nov. Thank you for the show

As a Kansas fan, I’d like to start out Top 5, but NOT No. 1. Very occasionally the pre-season No. 1 does well, but not usually it seems. The year before last, the preseason No. 1 was North Carolina,,and they didn’t even make the NCAA Tournament.

Damask is most likely done at Illinois. I'll be shocked if he gets an extra year if you go on past precedent, but it's the NCAA where nothing makes sense anymore.

Baylor if they get Roach and Aidoo are probably in the conversation.

Maliq Brown just committed to Duke

Yes he did 😁. Excellent add by Duke. Brown is a very efficient offensive player and a very good defensive player, excellent rebounder and if I'm not mistaken also averaged over 2 steals a game. 2 years of playing experience and took over starting spot last season at Syracuse averaging just over 10 points a game, oh he can also knock down the 3 although he doesn't shoot them very often at all. Brown is a "do it all" team player and I think this was a very good add for Duke. His career high is 26 points which came at Cameron against Duke 😔, now he can set his sights on a new career high at Cameron but now for Duke. Welcome to The Brotherhood Malik Brown.
      Let's Go Duke 🏀

Purdue is still oversigned by one. They signed a 6 man class as they already knew Morton and Gillis weren't going to use their covid year at Purdue. They still need to clear out 1 scholarship to make room for their freshman class.

As a Houston fan- by god, absolutely do not rank us #1- that rank is cursed and get all kinds of trouble under the sun. Ill take a top 10 ranking in the country any time. The blue bloods Duke or North Carolina can have #1 in the country! You will know a "top 10 team" vs #1 team [UConn] in the country when you see it.

The conference that has won 2 of the past 4 championships and had the two best teams in the country the year before that Covid ended?? That’s over ranked. Lately it’s the Big 12 or UConn

For Duke i appreciate & thank every single player for all their hard work, sacrifice, for everything they did. Now with that said Duke was expected (or atleast i expected) Roach,Filipowski,McCain to leave for nba draft and i actually was expecting up to 2 more to enter draft before Dukes season started. So those 3 was expected to leave, Reeves was shutdown for season after 1st 5 or so games, schutt redshirted, Powers barely played all season, Stewart played more the last part of the season but still played very few minutes on the season. Blakes minutes went down from the year before and he was mostly used for defense and didn't play a lot of minutes per game either. Mitchell is 1 that i thought was gonna have a big season & enter the draft but that of course didn't happen & he is now a Missouri Tiger(wish you the best Mark). Foster missed the last 9 games of the season but still played in 27 games with 15 starts so he still got a lot of experience. So what im getting at is all the "experts" along with all the Haters are dropping Duke not because of Flip,McCain, Mitchell but they started dropping Duke after schutt, blakes, power, stewart entered the portal & i don't agree. Sure Stewart is a beast just oozing potential & i was really looking forward to his high flying, rim rocking, high energy play. Power as well has a ton of potential & is an excellent shooter but both of these guys barely played and they had all the same potential when they arrived at Duke that they still have right now, but they both obviously need to catch up & develop their games. Reeves & schutt neither ever really played at all for Duke. Blakes has the most experience & more playing time than Reeves, schutt, power, stewart all combined but sadly even though he gives everything he has 24/7 he still wasn't a very big part of the team but sure thats an experienced veteran player lost. So other than Flip,McCain, Mitchell & Roach Duke didn't lose much minutes. With Proctor & Foster back and newly added transfer Malik Brown from Syracuse Duke now has 2 players going inti their 3rd year and 1 into his 2nd and 6 incoming freshman oozing with talent & im sure Duke will add several more very good experienced transfers. Dropping Duke in the preseason rankings of which 99% of teams don't even have completed rosters yet doesn't mean a thing, but i thing dropping them for losing players that never played for them or played very little is a bad reason to drop them. If Duke uses all their scholarships i believe that gives them 4 remaining, maybe 3(i don't know if Stanley Borden has a scholarship or not) but that means 3 or 4 more experienced veterans to bring in with the 3 vets Duke has now & 6 freshman. Duke will be 1 of the best teams in the nation once again. Hate on them all you want its not gonna change how good they're gonna be. Definition of greatness: Duke Basketball
