I love Miss Pym's Day Out! It's a video that I return to again and again, sometimes listening to it as an audio book when I'm walking. Than you, for all your recommendations! I am so glad to know that there are others out there with similar taste in books. 😊
Great haul! Wouldn't it be great if they started putting more pictures in adult books too? I wanted to tell you I'm about halfway through The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher and really enjoying it. It's definitely a cozy read. I also read the Miss Read Thrush Green book and enjoyed that one too. Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have to check out the mocumentary too. 💓
What a haul! The Barbara Pym biography is gorgeous! Makes me want to go book shopping. BUT I must read more of what I already have. Happy reading Gina! 💛
So funny but I found that same Barbara Pym biography at a local used bookstore not too long ago as well! What a fun little haul. So many good things you got. 😊
The description of the bookstore you go to sounds cozy and welcoming. I like the cover of "Anna and her Daughters" - it has a 60s kind of vibe (well, for me anyway). Great book haul Gina, thanks for sharing :)
Catching up on your most recent videos, Gina. Thank you so much for your fun drawing last week! Congratulations to the winners! I have never read Barbara Pym. Thank you for the suggestion. This past week I bought a gorgeous book for my daughter at The Ringling in Sarasota. It’s called Divine Felines The Cat in Japanese Art (yes, we are cat people, too😊.) I also thrifted a vintage kids picture book by Alice Low called Summer. I’m finishing up The Shell Seekers. Happy reading!
That cat book is so cute! My many feline friends would approve. Most of the books I've been reading lately are for Middle Grade March. Given my current writing commitments, I haven't much time for longer books.
Gina, can you provide more information about those little books with the drops in them? Like, whatever the names are on the "covers"? Or a company name? I'd like to find them. Thanks!
Hi Corrine! So what I see on the front of the little candies is "Les Delices du Chateau La Grande Duranne". I did find this link in Amazon www.amazon.com.be/-/en/Grande-Duranne-Violet-Flavoured-Tablets/dp/B08W2M8FP7?language=en_GB
Hi Gina - I see you were gifted our Jane Austen literary tea! We really hope you enjoyed the tea and we appreciate you introducing us to your audience. Have a great day!
I just love the literary teas and the little book with sweets in them, adorable. I am currently reading a novella called Thornhedge by T.Kingfisher, seems like a sleeping beauty retelling, a good read so far 😊. I wish I could visit that bookstore, sounds heavenly! 👍.
@@GinaStanyerBooks I'm in Gig Harbor, right across the Narrows Bridge from Tacoma. Close! I'll definitely check out the bookstore, haven't been there before. Thx! Pam
What fun little gifts😊. I'm sooooo upset Gina. As you know my apt. was packed up, remodeled, I lived in a hotel for 5 days, came back on a Sat., they unpacked me Mon. and Tues. It was a horror show. Way too hectic,no order, 3 people wanting my attention (they didn't speak english), I couldn't keep up w/ them unpacking and telling them where to put the things. They kept rushing me (bad neck and back, need Carpel Tunnel surgery). I told them to leave the bins and I would unpack. They said they needed the bins for the next floor down (interpreter). I told them to just dump everything and leave. They did.I had to "reput" things back in correct place. Still working g on it. HOWEVER, I am missing a LARGE tote bag of BOOKS, so upset. I took an entire day to go through EVERY book in here, 3 TIMES. I don't remember all titles I'm missing, but ALL were brand new. Classics and otherwise. 😑😑😑😑
The little books are cute, but, your cats are cuter! I am reading 'The Kingmaker,' by Kennedy Ryan. I am not a fan of that book. I did buy some books this past weekend, when I went to an independent bookstore. That video will be airing on my channel tomorrow.
What a delight. I’ve never heard of Barbara Pym but her books sound like my kind of reading. What is a good one to start with? And I enjoyed the fictional day in the life video-so charming. The cat book is in my Amazon cart. A lot of my book buying is from Amazon used but tomorrow is the quarterly book sale at the library -can’t wait!
What a video of goodness - Gorgeous Fur Babies, Adorable Mini Books & Great Finds!
Love that overcrowded, piles everywhere kind of bookshop.
The cat's guide to England looks and sounds precious 🤗Happy sunshine day!
Absolutely brilliant book haul! Inspiring books and incredible collection! Outstanding video👍

Wow Gina, you caught my eye with a Cat's guide to England, it's so beautiful.
😊 I was punctuating everything with ooooh's + ahhhh's + awwww's ( the cats). 😊
Oh my! A cats guide to England looks especially lovely, but as usual all the books and goodies you showed sound like a delight.
Isn't it cute!?
What a great haul, and those little book boxes of pastilles are just adorable. What a nice gift from someone who clearly knows you well.
Oh my word - I’ve never seen such a pretty copy of a very private eye! And it looks in perfect condition too! Well done

Isn't it wonderful? I just love Barbara Pym and I love Patricia Routledge, so this is a beautiful combination for me. So glad you enjoy it too.
The tea sounds delicious! Those tiny books (w candy in them?) are too cute!
Aren’t they cute! They are filled with little hard candies. And I just noticed that they have French labels in the back. So fun!
Thank you so much for posting the Barbara Pym video. I’ve never seen it, and it was lovely.
Oh I am so glad you enjoyed it too. It's a favorite of mine.

Isn't it gorgeous?! I just love it.

Oh my, A Cat's Guide to England, I need to look for that book!
It’s so cute! I found this one in Thrift Books for $6. It’s sometimes risky but I g used online but this is in great condition.
Gina, you’ll love “The Offing”!
That cat book looks so cute!

Thanks for commenting! Your product is beautiful.
Oh! I've heard such good recommendations on the Barbara Pym book from Steve Donoghue - well written an apparently a good guide to the writing life.
I can't wait to get to it. I don't really read too many biographies but I think this one is going to be wonderful.

It really is a fun bookstore! So many hidden treasures!
new here, loved this video and your glasses!
Thanks so much! My glasses are readers from Peepers. They have really cute (and reasonably priced) stuff!

The Offing is really great. Not normally my kind of thing but I enjoyed it a lot.
I can’t wait to get to it. Your mom sent it to me, did she tell you? It was so sweet of her!
@@GinaStanyerBooks she did! Needless to say my copy came from her too

I agree, the cats are cuter! I’ll see you when you post your video tomorrow- that sounds like a fun shopping g trip.
Abe Books had a free shipping offer this past weekend so I ordered 5 Miss Read editions!
Oh yay!!
Fun haul! 🫶🏽
Thanks Mariandrea! 💕
I also ordered a Barbara Pym book today. I really wasn't familiar with her.
Which one???
