These were not built factory RHD, the Aus delivered ones were converted to RHD here in Australia just like anything that was imported. The volume was WAY too low for GM USA to even consider factory RHD an option, they'd likely not have sold many more if they ever did. You're probably somewhat correct that it never saw a US road, but there is no question it rolled out the door a lefty.
The same thing happened when GM sold the Chevy Suburban here and called it a Holden, they were converted to RHD here. They were all the poxy base model poverty pack version too, nothing worth buying when you could just import a better one with a lot more options for a lot less money and probably get a better RHD conversion than was done on those anyway. Sweat FA Holden Suburbans were sold here because of the bullshit rules and regs we have in this country and the dead set joke that is the massively over inflated tax system.
