Yea the Witcher 3 is good. But it's not quite as good as the Witcher 3.
It is only missing Gloryhammers and laserdragons.
Grim Plissken yes, it is.
Grim Plissken maybe it's a joke?
Still not as good as the witcher 3, but even then, the witcher 3 is best
Paul Duncan No, Witcher 3 is better
Legends say when you mention the Witcher 3, a man goes to redownload it.
Yes it's me.
Akiraspin me
First of all- why ever uninstall this masterpiece
Akiraspin literally read this comment while installing it
@@poere1234 there is a hype which builds up when u install it 😍😋
I played it a 2nd time after reading all of the books and if it is even possible, I loved it even more!
same^
and all the previous games
Harry LEVI well yes a game like the witcher 3 gets better when you play it over because theres so much dam detail and content in the game your always gonna see and experience new things you did not noticed in your previous playthrough you'll see something new each time its amazing
I played the Witcher 3 twice, and I just finished playing the Witcher 2. I plan to play it again on insane difficulty to get the rest of the achievements, and then I'll play the Witcher 1 and read the books.
Best thing about Witcher 1 is you can play with 3 different control styles. Hell you can play with just mouse isometric which is great for exploration then zoom into 3rd person for combat. Dialogue is janky as hell but still a great game chock full of atmosphere. Also the chapter summaries/artwork is superb. Enjoy!
Nick Hunter Awesome, although I hope I find a mod that allows me to play with a controller because I never use a keyboard and mouse other than homework.
Anyone else remeber the side quest were you are looking for testicles that were stolen off of a statue?
No... wtf. you serious that quest real?
Did it just the other day
@@_sky_3123 It's in the blood and wine dlc
@@_sky_3123 yes it is lol. Blood and Wine dlc.
@@_sky_3123 bro if you haven't played blood and wine you don't even understand how much better than Witcher can get
This is literally the greatest game ever made. I don't think I'm biased either. I heard about the witcher for years and never played it. I hear witcher 3 was incredible to the point of being in a class with Shenmue and Final Fantasy VII. So I started. From witcher 1 and played through it entirely. It felt dated but I became engulfed in its world. Naturally I went on to the witcher II and I thought damn these stories are incredible and I grew attached to the world and its characters. When I finally embarked on my journey through the witcher 3, I felt so entangled in its lore and universe that I felt as if I were Geralt when I was playing. I knew these characters. Whenever I see Zoltan or Dandelion I get excited because these characters are my friends. I felt attached to Vesemir. I have an emotional attachment to Trish because of our history from previous games. I love this world, this lore, and it's characters. For me, this game is by far the greatest masterpiece of any console generation. The fact that a developer like CD Project Red pulled this off should put major publishers to absolute fucking shame. Fuck companies like Activision EA and Ubisoft. Fuck them for their repetition of titles . Fuck them for their annual cookie cutter releases and fuck them for their cash grab dlc pay to win bullshit. The witcher was made with love and ambition. I can never say enough good things about this game. For me it stands alone at the top of gaming PERIOD!!
Jeffrey Benzan I hope you are reading through the books, they are as good as the games if not better.
Jeffrey Benzan NNNNNNNAAAH. Doom 1993
Dick B. Danglin doom is great and revolutionized the gaming industry and has its place. But in terms of story and depth its not even in the same category. This is the single most complete work in all of gaming.
Rodrigo Del Alcázar i started. Yes
Jeffrey Benzan Skyrim is the best game of all time.
If the witcher 3 is so good why isn't there a witcher 3 2?
😂😂😂😂
There is...it's called Blood and Wine. That's basically a whole extra game. 😆
hilarious
😛
Actually there are a lot of sequel to the witcher 3, there are 2076 sequel and the 10th of December comes out the witcher 3 2077 but some people think it will never come out
Best Quest in game... the old lady's frying pan!!
OMG... blew me away!
XD
Found me pan have ye?
Nah.. The love triangle with the warewolf. Gave me chills
nah the best quest obviously when you need to play hide and seek with childrens and get to find a goat...
@@roybenari I feel ya man
Here goat, goat, goat!
Witcher 3 pc also didnt grab me at first , thought was ok, went back to Gta V for my second run , 3 or 4 weeks go by .... Decided to go back to Witcher 3 and after 8 hours i fell in love .... Finished the game 3 times with both DLC's -- Just awesome game ! Thanx 4 posting

game's an absolute masterpiece
Now red dead 2 will be taking it's place. Can't wait for it to release.
Ghost of Sparta HAHAHAHAHA
@MC Cooper lol red dead 2 didnt surpass anything with its hand holding experience.
@MC Cooper Id like to know your masterpiece standards with quality writing? It just seems like you're typical inpatient player who doesn't pay attention to any details at all.
from a satisfying gameplay you really need to form your own opinion, storywise RDR2 or last of us ain't any better than witcher 3, also that is highly opinion based. Personally I never had more heart gripping story on game than W3. Soo your argument them being superior to W3 is kinda pointless.
dudes why are you talking like this game is 10 years old? it was out in 2015 😂
screamityeah So 2 years old, and not 10....
Chris Baker not the brightest guy are you??
whatever 69 Oh I got the joke buddeh, just wasn't very clever
screamityeah
And yet, they still need to give this game a rest already. Focus on new things.
It's been 10 years in the game
"Really interesting side quest"
This was a completely new concept for video games created by the Witcher 3.
That's not really the point though. It's the ratio of quality to meh side quests that gives it the status it has now. You don't feel like you're wasting your time in 95%+ of the side quests. The quests are incredibly memorable in the most positive way.
What do you mean? Fallout: New Vegas had some incredible side quests it isnt new.
No it was not lol, interesting side quests have always been a thing, that's why we call other quests fetch quests, which are more common in mmos and rpgs.
No its not lol. Skyrim? Heard of that?
@@saraphrim There's not a thing in skyrim that can compare to the witcher 3 especially the side quests and main story besides maybe just the world itself and this is coming from someone who has 650 hours in skyrim, even more time than that modding it and even more time playing it on xbox 360.
The 'witcher 3' game truly is unique.. you can play that game 10 times and not get bored of it. The world they built as well as the lore if you choose to read them and the character decisions you make for Geralt is so damn fun!!! not to mention what these guys have mentioned, the game producers (everyone involved in it) gave out free dlc, those 16 dlc are for free where as other studios would of sold out and made us choose to pay for it or not. Huge props to them and this awesome title.
The sunsets of Novigrad...beautiful.
I never felt so empty like after finishing Witcher 3 and Skyrim.
Abdullah Sakib you finished Skyrim?
I love the witcher 3, on my third play through. The only thing I hate? the loading times.
What? It loads in less then 10 seconds every time for me, and and it barely has any loading screens.
Even 10 seconds is a lot of time to reload the same scenery when you, for instance, die?
I said less then 10 seconds because that's the longest I've had it, it's usually about 2 seconds.
What loading times? lol
You play on console don't you? I play on ps4 and the load times do get pretty lengthy
I've played it 3 times now including both DLC's. Each time i've discovered different places, dialogue options, quests and builds. You add in the story, scale and ludicrous attention to detail and it's easily one of the best games I've ever played.
The Witcher 3 is the best game that came out in 2017 years.
FoxerHR/JustAPerson4 "son what school you go to"
LaFIame Son, do you not know what a joke is?
FoxerHR/JustAPerson4 maybe he meant a witcher school? lelel
FoxerHR/JustAPerson4 you tryin to prank me, boy?
so you did not play outcast or baldurs gate 2 for example? much better games.
Sick of seeing the word "overrated". It's the baseless arrogance of it.
It's fine to dislike anything, but to try and make it appear like your opinion is more valid than the majority, or that the majority are lieing about there opinion is BS
Your overrated opinion on word overrated is overrated :P
jurban Your overrated opinion on my opinion of the word overrated being overrated is overrated
A Shaw 101 Thats gaming now a days
High probability that human species could have a suicidal extinction so I would think the collective majority is often wrong. The study of philosophy, science and truth are often rejected by the masses. Individuals that advance the human species are often murdered by the majority.
Pete You can't be wong about your level of personal enjoyment. The question of "did you like the Witcher", or more broadly "did you enjoy that piece of art or entertainment" is completely subjective to the individual, if they enjoyed it then they enjoyed it, you may dislike that thing for whatever reason and no matter how relevant that reason is all the people who enjoyed it, still enjoyed it.
got a new PC, playing Witcher 3 again 😂
My first play through I basically grounded through the story cuz u loved it so much. The 2nd time I was more focused on just getting every little bit of content: every side quest, contract, going to every special location and finding all of the best weapons and armor and secrets, playing through multiple times just feels such worth it with this game, the way you play it can make it a completely different experience.
The Witcher 3 is the best game of all time
Mike Hunt tetris is batter
True.
random af mmm battered tetris and fries
אביב יעקובי?
Mike Hunt your opinion
Lmao, you guys love the Witcher a lot, seriously, you talk about it every chance you get... And I can't judge you, its a goddamn good game.
Neoshenlong Archivo 2008 - 2011 it's because is the best game of thr generation, and a new game so good like this still not been lanch in this generation
I played this game 7 times
wtf ?this means no social life
Who needs a social life when you have thr Witcher 3
Jimmy Padgett
So true
I like to be badass guy everyone fear and have to vhoose between 2 girl friends and kill some monstres
That talking to people
Call me lifeless idc xD
petaludas88 how is that having no social life ? It just means the game has immense replay value and makes people dedicated to it
Kaustav 02 how long should i wait for second play? I miss witcher so much but not sure if its good idea to play again right after finish
Blood and wine is a masterpiece, in terms of game expansions. THAT'S HOW YOU DO A DLC.
That's not a dlc that's a brand new fucken game
Tristen Herrera the witcher 4 blood and wine
true, it's like a brand new game tbh, but don't hate me on this, I prefer the main story of HoS
I was literally about to do my second play through right now after a year!!
RichieRich22 im going to play it first time soon... after i beat horizon zero dawn
RichieRich22 me too! I stopped playing midway through like 2 years ago. Now I'm debating between picking it up again barely remembering what I've done or redoing 100 hours of stuff to get back to where I am D:
RichieRich22 got goty from gog before 5 days and i can say "what i ride" why i was refuse so long to play it..
RichieRich22 so awesome. Especially compared to mass effect andromeda.
RichieRich22 i just started my 2nd playthrough after a year. On my 1st i never played Gwent as i didnt understand it, now i absolutely love it and cant get enough! Im also trying to explore every ? on the map if i can lol
All hail Geraldo del rivero
Its Gerardo btw and you read it like "Jerald" (like geralt minus the T plus the D) plus an O at the end.
Jajajajajaja
"The Witcher 3 has a plethora of side-quests woven into the main narrative that change the world around you and each side quest is as just as memorable as playing bioshock for the first time"
*_"HaVe Ye' FoUnD Ma' Pan DEaRiE?"_*
fOunD Me paN HavE yE?
The best. On my 4th play through and its still more enjoyable for me than any other games.
For me, From Softwares' games were even better the second time. You understand the lore better
Yash Dusing Amen.
Also you know how to fight the enemies the second time around, that's some progress feeling like no other game has
Bloodborne especially. For me, at least :D
May be true, but you have to admit, nothing feels quite like having your ass handed to you on a silver platter for the very first time.
i don't like feeling like a scrub perhaps u guys do. I'm playing through bloodborne now and it seems more tedious than difficult. why do you want to have to play through the entire game again to kind of understand the lore a bit more, imagine if cd projekt red did that lool, its just bad storytelling and a ps2 era checkpoint system. inb4 git gud comments it doesn't compare to witcher
BSGCato I love The Witcher 3, but it has its flaws, big ones. Like for example the combat system, every fucking monster fights the same, you just have to wait until their attack animation begins, dodge, attack 2 or 3 times then repeat, meanwhile in the souls games almost every enemy has a different moveset and you have to learn how to fight them, that's something TW3 really missed, in a game about hunting monsters you'd expect to see some variety in their fighting style.
I've played through this game five times and I still love making different decisions on a new playthrough. There's so much variety and options to make the game your own and to mould a character already full of depth into someone you choose through your actions. Plus that nicely priced dlc unlike Star Wars battlefront and no micro transactions or drm bullshit. Fuckin love CDPR!
James Crane We bought it with all of its dlc, and it was one of the best games i have ever played. However, if i replay it, i get bored really fast because you can't change your playstyle like in skyrim :/. It has the best storyline of every game though!
Does the 3rd time around apply to ''New Game+''? or do you have to start at level 1 this time, with no superior potions and bombs?
Cyberpunk 😑😑😑
It's the little things you gotta appreciate with this developer. The fact they patched in a updated movement control option saved it for me. I couldn't get into it at first. Then came back to it years later after all the updating, switched it to alternative movement mode and turned off fish eye effect for Witcher senses, after I skipped through the kear mohran intro this time I decided to just straight wonder off once I completed the Griffen hunt. From there I discovered just how organically you can come up on studying crime scenes and starting side quests, this game has a perfect blend of magic, lore, forensics, weapon and armor hunting, Gorey combat, customization, world and character design. No other world have I gotten so drawn into then this one. All it's unique places and people and story delivery and complexity, like hidden secrets. The entire game is a treasure wanting to be discovered. All the haunted lighthouses and villages and gritty lore. Finally and magic rpg I am into because of its style. Took me until 2019 to finally give it a shot and now im done with the main quest of blood and wine and have lots of side content and Witcher contracts, treasure hunts to complete and question marks to explore on my map still and somehow I am still very motivated to continue on to discover them. That's a GOOD GAME 👌👍
Damn, a friend just started playing for the first time. His excitement is just making me want to play through a 4th time.
Another game I enjoyed more 2nd time around - Dragon Age: Origins
Yeah yeah, I'm right there with you. It's similar to watching The Thing (John Carpenter) again... you notice all these little things now that you aren't caught up with the emotions, and appreciate it even more.
DA:O was my favorite rpg of all time before witcher 3 came out. Alongside tbc WoW and wrath of the lich king
And the 3rd... and the 4th etc
I need to play this franchise
ehh thay game was a huge bore to me Knights Of The Old Republic is a game you won't get tired of even though it's 14 years old
That definition of RPGs as a game where you can play whoever you want is actually specific to the subgenre of Western RPGs (Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Vampire Bloodlines, ...).
If you look to Japanese RPGs, you tend to play a role that has already been designed by the creators of the game (Final Fantasy, Chrono-Trigger, ...).
The Souls series will like to have a word with you. Jk.
I get what you mean though. Most Jrpgs will have some cringeworthy self righteous MC to "appeal" to younger crowd".
Mind Errant - Well... not sure From Software games really do fit the genre of JRPG... They are sort of a hybrid I guess. That whole "Dark Fantasy RPG" bit or whatever.
Well Chrono Trigger if I remember correcltly has a silent protagonist and you were able to change his name so it doesn't really qualify as an "established" MC in my opinion
Souls series is more akin to the western rpgs than it is to jrpgs
Japanese RPGs are also shit, so there's that
I wish my memory of this game get wiped out so i can experience my first walkthrough again , it was simply magical .
first time i played this game, i had no patience, couldn’t beat the griffith at the start and put the game down. few months later, all games i had had become boring and i had nothing else. decided to give this a shot. the next time i came off the game was when i completed it (and all DLC) feeling empty and not knowing what else to do. genuinely loved playing this game and gonna play it again to re-live the great memories i had on the game. people who haven’t played this game don’t know what they’re missing, and i 100% recommend playing this game. it gets u hooked in seconds, gets u addicted for life, and finishes in what feels like minutes. time flies by on this game, because whatever you’re doing, u love every minute of it
You guys should totally switch your channel from "Pretty Good Gaming" to "Because it's the Witcher 3, bitches."
I used around 80 hours in my first playtrough, but I used 170+ hours during the second playtrough. I am now in third, but this time I play with mods.
ROY4L FRESHNESS I have a bad habit of rushing games.
You're right. I should go start my 5th play through
This game got me back into gaming after not really playing for a few years. Love it to death. Now I'm back into gaming, though it's hard to find something that I enjoy nearly as much! Makes me want to just go back and replay it again
Just had the same experience. In 2022.
I'm in my third try and I'm still finding new missions
You didn't played it the first and second time then. :D
LUL!
@@neddhu no, depend on your choices, you can miss a fair amount of quests, that's what good about this game, you have to play it again
@@Luxius1509 Nope. If you play it how you should and explore... you can't miss anything.
@@neddhu exactly , if you play properly you explore and take your time . i am playing now for first time and i am not rushing it . i am 180 hours in and i can say i am maybe 50% done . i want to play until i explore every inch of the game . plus there is the dlcs waiting for me as well
The Witcher does so well because it had a passionate team that were allowed to do their jobs.
CD Projekt doesn't over-monetise, and they execute their products well. Besides, have you guys seen how easy it is to play Gwent without spending real currency on Kegs?
I remember the quest where you have to find a pan for an old lady. But while searching she notices geralt talking to himself and she is also disappointed the bandits cleaned her pan.
I just finished the game all over again, first time on PC 2 or 3 years ago, this time I shed a tear.
3 things wrong about the Witcher 3 and is still an 10/10
- Easy even on hardest NG+ if using the Alchemy build.
- Little dialogue with some characers.
- Items lasted for 1 or 2 levels then you switch them for some generic sword that has 20 damage more.
Juan Pablo Genetti What about the unresponsive tank controls
Quiet Time Gaming were improved by the alternative movement patch
It has a lot more than 3 problems, still a good game tho. But some people are still in the honeymoon phase even almost 3 years later, and still can't see any faults.
PrototypeBlack An amazing game and experience, but to not acknowledge the flaws is to deny the opportunity for growth and improvement.
Does that mean it isn't a masterpiece or a generation benchmark? No, but it means that there are things could have been improved.
And wich would you recommend?
All the people saying this game is overhyped i bet havent even put 10 hours of gameplay in people complaing about combat obviously dont use potions or there sighns correctly and btw this game is a true masterpiece on death march where you have to use your bestiary and study the monsters you fight that alone makes it phenomenal and qwent is just awsome not forced down your throat but there for ppl who enjoy it
Joe Ivey I played quite a lot of it, and I think the combat is abysmal. Easily the worst aspect of the game. Also the world itself is pretty bland. Your whole reason to explore is limited to finding new sidequests or ingredients.
But I still love the characters and the story, but if that's all I'm I'm it for, I might as well just read the books tbh.
That's my opinion atleast.
Joe Ivey world is bland? lol really? are you talking about fallout? XD
bland? No, there are hundreds of small things like monster nests, enemy camps, hidden treasures, abandoned villages, caves, and witcher gear to collect around every area there are. Repetitive could be the word you're looking for.
I'm currently really enjoying TW3 however i have to dispute what your saying when you mention death march. I'm 60h in and death march is feeling to easy as enemies are not posing a real challenge. The only time i have run into a boss fight that was difficult to a notable extent are the times when enemy scaling has been broken.
Joe Ivey Played 140hrs and I still say its overhyped. though its still a great game just not the greatest game ever that people say not even just the greatest rpg.
I'm on my third, and the best part? I immediately started it right off of my 2nd run through. And while the amount of time I play it in one sitting is decreased, I am still delighted to no end. I'm still finding things I haven't found before, and once I finish it for a 3rd time I'm gonna have to rip myself away for a while, so as it doesn't get stale.
The Witcher 3 is the only game i can play over and over again. Usually I have to wait a few years before I can replay a game but I played TW3 2 times back-to-back before they even released any of the expansions, and then came back and replayed for the expansions, and am currently replaying as we speak. It's not just the fact that I've read all of the books and played the first two games twice each, It just is the most fulfilling RPG i've played since Fallout New Vegas.
The Soulsborne games are great the second time. Same for the Persona games.
I worry that the second time will be ruined since I know the events. Or the illusion or this being a “real” world will be broken if I go through the events a second time.
I have waited twice as long as the time to comment on your post, now I am ready to play again as I only remember some parts....plus this time i can start with mutations which personally made the game a lot more fun
I'm glad I did my part in exposing this awesome game to people. I'm a substitute teacher on my off time, and I do a lot of high school. About 90% of kids are into COD, Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Siege. But I told them about the awesomeness of RPG's like Skyrim and Dark Souls/Bloodborne, but I told them that every game will seem underwhelming once they play The Witcher III (I now recommend the Complete Edition with the 2 DLC's).
I've been recommending this game for 2 years now, and I'm still getting messages thanking me on exposing them to the best game they've ever played. I just keep telling them to spread the word on the game, because it seems criminally underrated to the non-gaming community.
Same thing happened to me with this game. I bought it on release date in 2015, played for a day or so, then didn't touch it again until around a year later. Again, played for a day or so, then didn't touch it again until about 2-3 days ago and NOW I AM HOOKED.
it took me 3 times to finally get this game i tried it on xbox once then on pc didnt get far then played it a third time and now im finally loving it idk what took so long but it didnt click the first times and im not going to play a game just because others like it so i didnt but i knew there had to be something in it and im glad i came back
Look into general ability perk that allows you to cast signs when you have 1 or more adrenaline points, so you don't have to wait for the stamina to build up to cast another sign.
Fuck You And Your Ideology why are u so edgy m8
Please tell me you got into Gwent? I hate card games, but it's the only one I truly enjoyed. My first playthrough I didn't give it a chance. I regret it.
Witcher 3 is one of the best GAME ever!!!
#Haterswillhate
I did end up playing through the first 3 Halo games about a hundred times with my friends because we were determined to complete them on Legendary with all of the skulls and everything, but that's because we were completionists back then and there was a lot of challenge to it.
Just finished my first playthrough. 80 hours, got the good ending, left a TON of ?’s in Velen and Skellige. I would like to begin again, 100% it, and do the DLCs. I started another game tonight, but all I can think about is being Geralt again in White Orchard. I’m going to try and hold off a while. Get my jonez to maximum, then dive back in.
but this isn't as good as the Witcher 3
Witcher 3, then play the two expansions in the release order. that's the game. That final cut scene and the acknowledgement to camera, that completed it in the perfect way for me. It gave me the feels.
mad love for Geralt. mad love for CD Projekt Red.
Just finished my second play through 150hours exactly the same as the first all the way up to finishing Heart of Stone. Surprisingly still found 5-10 more small side quests and event quests. While I rushed a bit more between points on the map, I found time to get lost looking at ruined buildings I hadn't looked in before. Losing my save file when I replaced my motherboard and re-installed windows 10 was one of the dumbest but best things to happen. 2nd play through was definitely worth it. Glad they have a Cloud for my saves to sync on for GoG now. All I have left now is Blood and Wine :D
I love the Witcher 3 to pieces, it's just so much more engaging than any other RPG I've ever played. I felt the same way about Skyrim the first time I played it but second time around it just seemed really familiar the Witcher provides this unique experience to just feel involved and constantly immersed in the plot and the characters thanks to good writing, voice acting and attention to detail. You said you hadn't played Blood and Wine, probably my favorite DLC along with Undead Nightmare it's an amazing juxtaposition to the main game and for me was an additional 100hrs+ of gameplay.
I played ryse: son of rome twice just because the executions were really cool.
PACIFICGOR E its a short game
PACIFICGOR E Yeah the story was quite interesting and unique too.
For people saying it's overhyped, it's people's opinion of a game and the opinion of this one is very high, not only for the sheer quality of the game but the quality of ethics that CDPR emplores
Its true success is that the world sets up a bunch of rules and sticks to them without fault.
Playing the quest where you cross paths with a School of the Cat Witcher was so subtle but amazing.
Searching for evidence and in your head before the game reveals anything, you realise the only beast in the witcher world that can do this particular damage is a Witcher.
All the hunting quests were like this. Playing them like trivia missions makes you realise how much detail went into the world building and the beasts.
if you are from one of the slavic countries, like Poland, Slovenia... you will understand how incredible the witcher lore and the world is, i mean, i grew up with slavic mythological tales about the wild hunt, all sort of tales and myths about ghosts, i read books as a young boy about mythology, it is just incredible to see all of what i loved and even believed as a young boy growing up in the slovenian countryside where people even 20 years ago actually believed the tales about the wild hunt and all those other stories about mythical creatures of slavic mythology, i can say it is all but dead nowadays, but i am one of the priviliged few who have still grown up in the "old" slovenia...
im playing through hearts of stone right now
Yeah, I'm double dipping as well; got it on Switch now 😁
I only recently upgraded my PC to be able to play W3. I do have to say, it is the greatest story driven game to date. It seems to have the script from something out of the richest classic RPG:s like Baldur's Gate and Torment, but then almost flawlessly executes it in a living 3D world, with all the voice acting, animation and set pieces of a modern game. It's more than anyone could have expected or asked for. An immense effort both technically, and creatively, easily the most robust narrative production ever seen. And they just made it work.
It really sets a standard and I truly hope the Ubisofts and Activisions will have to respect the standard of a great game, in order to stay in business.
The Witcher 3 is one of the strangest reactions I've ever had to a game like when I first started playing it I despised it I thought the dialogue was sluggish, the combat was clunky, and the movement controls made navigating the world a chore but despite all this for some reason I kept playing and about 7 hours and 2 days worth of gameplay later and I had completely fallen in the love the game without even realizing it
I'm probably going to be playing this game well into the next decade
Blood and wine is even better than the base game. Can't wait for cyberpunk 2077
Second time? You mean 8th time, right?
God, I need to get a life
No. This life is best life. Keep living.
Don't be ashamed of living your best life and enjoying your time the way you see fit!
Playing the witcher 3 three times forced me to read the books.... Ive finished blood of elves and currently in chapter 2 of time of contempt but boi was i glad that after finishing this game i still had a lot of reading to do.
Already done with my 3rd play through moving on to DLC. Such a great game, so much to do and so many different experiences with each story arc. It has definitely become my favorite game of all time. The large amount of hours you get for the money you spend isn't found ANYWHERE in any other game. Truly the only game worth 100$ but is sold for 60$ CD Projekt not only made a master piece for themselves, but also for the fans. I love this game.
I actually hated this game when I first started playing it. It seemed SO confusing to me, and frustrating. But the longer I forced myself to keep playing it, the more interesting it became. I think that the hunt for that first griffin is what hooked me. However, even after playing through the whole game, I never understood Gwent, so I passed on every Gwent related mission. I HATE card games. I also never fully understood the mutations and leveling up stuff. So there were certain missions I was unable to complete due to not having certain abilities unlocked. But these limitations didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying the game.
Gwent's so much fun. It's really not that hard with a Northern deck and a couple of basic strategy principles which you can pick up online.
That's exactly how I'm playing
Any advice?
Amitesh 1 Play gwent, all you have to do is buy cards from innkeepers and merchants and it’ll be fairly easy to win.
Yeah it’s kinda like chess cos you need a bit of strategy. Need a bit of luck and a good selection of card at hand.
The way you guys feel about Witcher 3 is the same way I feel about Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.....for me, there isn't a better game.
MGS3 is one of my favorite games ever. I just wish it was longer gameplay wise.
Kalypso Belador no fuckin doubt ive beat it so many times through and the ending still gets me every damn time by far the best game ever made
They are both tied for me along with FF7 and Dark Souls
There is a game better than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
AND IT'S NAME IS THE WITCHER 3!
But the main thing that differs between the 2 is how fuckimg crazy good the side quests are that just take 3 of the longer aide quests & they alone are better than 90% of games out there!
I never thought I fantasy fixed character RPG would get me like the Witcher 3 did. I grew up more into superheroes, shooters, and sci-fi interests and always looked at fantasy as a bit childish. Don't get me wrong, I loved Skyrim when it came out, but I could make own person and had my own fun with it. Dark Souls was fun but it felt like it was hard for the sake of being hard, and I don't like that excuse for anything. Then the Witcher 3 came out, wasn't interested and ignored it (like a fool), I heard the reviews and thought, "it can't be that good" as I replayed Bioshock and and Bioshock Infinite, holding them as the pinnacle of video game story telling. Finally for my birthday my big brother sent me something in the mail, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I gave it a go and was blown away. I thank him to this day for that game.
Bought a PS4 to play Witcher 3, still playing Blood & Wine after a long pause. I guess the second time I play it will be even better, because first you learn the ropes, then you try different things, focus more on what you want without the hussle of "learning the ropes" of the first try and you can be more "RPGish" on the second run, noticing every detail on the way that you missed. Never I took so many screenshots in a game (or at least on par with Skyrim I guess) and never the story was quite so immersive as in TW3. It is a great RPG and I wish every other game company would put so much effort on every game out there, cause I would buy the games knowing they deserve every penny.
CDPR know the limits that a good game requires, with good business practices, while weighing longevity and giving us more good games over time. It's an actual story, an actual adventure. It isn't, you are no one, just fucking kill everything or grow potatoes. It's a game you play because you enjoy the story, because fuck, if there was a game where I get to play as Drizzt Do'Urden I'd fucking play that game, not some shitty cameo game, but a real RPG. If you like murdering everything and/or growing potatoes that's great, but I don't consider it gaming, it's just mass murder or growing potatoes and IRL you can certainly grow potatoes.
I just finished my second play through kek.
I'm currently on my fifth game (in between watching the complete series of "Psych"), takes me an average of 250 hrs to beat (including all DLCs) and I find new things each time; infrequently as I keep playing but still...now, while I can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077 to come out at the end of the year, I still see myself playing this over and over (spread out over years.) I'm actually on my "second play" myself as just a "New Game" not NG+. Took me 70 hrs to finally get to Skellige. That's doing everything minus one side quest (I'll get to it when I get back.)
Dragon's Dogma - Dark Arisen. that one actually makes sense when you play it again. Replay is actually built into the story.
I remember playing it just to finish (I'm like that, I'll drag myself to complete it), then started NG+ to do some area I missed out on first run and in the meantime realised how cleverly they made the story with replay in mind.
Ended up investing plenty more hours in it than I had thought I would.
Soulsborne fanboys must be at full rage now by watching how much praise witcher 3 gets.
OLD HUNTER I thought the Soulsbourne series gets a ton of praise, and praise I can't understand. I get that the combat and artstyle are good, but it relies too heavily on it, making it a chore for me to play. Between this and TW3, I'd play the Witcher again and again. I've recently jumped back into my second playthrough only to discover quests I've never done and the Cave of Dreams is easily one of the best ones in the game after finally doing it.
OLD HUNTER why would we, they're so different. The witcher's story far outclasses dark souls story since you have to dig to find it. But the combat is better in the souls series
As a massive Soulsborne fan, why would we be mad at this? I mean, I'll discuss and compare the games with people in the comments, but I love both titles so much. Why should I be mad at a game for getting praise that is very much deserved?
DARK SOULS COMBAT IS LEGENDARY God I hate soulsborne fanboys now. Why do I find you on almost every witcher 3 video😵😵😵😵😵😵
The Soulsborne series is better than the Witcher series so what's there to be mad about? Bloodborne alone is better than the whole Witcher series. Hell, I enjoyed playing DS2 better than TW3
Should I buy this game? I haven't played 1 or 2
For sure. Just lookup a quick recap of 1 and 2 on the net. This is a must play
I have something like 700 hours on the Witcher 3, more than any other game I've ever played. By far my favourite game of all time, and it'll probably stay my favourite for a long time to come.
I had the same problem at the start... I took a many attempts to get into the game, played for about an hour or two then left down for months... but once I gave it a good go at playing it everything started to click. Ended up playing right up til the end on normal difficulty and restarted then on death march. Just finished Hearts of Stone and now its time for Blood and Wine!!
none of those other games you mentioned are nearly as long as the Witcher either. I totally remembered finding out who burnt down the dwarves smithing shop or whatever it was and it ends up being that racist drunk guy right? God I would love to play this with some maxed out settings on PC. I was looking at 6k prebuilt ones last night LMFAO
Here comes the haters
Cyberpunked _ I hope you are saying that and not trying to start a war in the comments section. Because otherwise you are just as bad as those "haters"
There are no haters tho its objectively a good game AT LEAST good.If you say its bad you just dont like rpg's
You're a disgrace to humanity
SpriteZero Xxx you are , and you dont know it
I played for like 6 hours I just don't like it. bam there you go
Literally the best game ever created. Especially on the highest difficulty, it is exiting and engaging. I can't really explain how amazing it is.
Started like 10 days ago with the witcher 3,first i thought like yeah its a good game, i had fun with it but didn't really felt the magic and thought I played better games. But then yesterday at around 24h playtime, I was in Ox something town and just started walking through the town and looked around and watching all the things that happened and I started to really see the real beauty of the game and knew this is now my new favorite game ever
I just start playing it
how is this still the best looking rpg to this day ? I mean wtf.. im playing it right now at 4k and I gotta say that Im really grateful for an older game than can be run at 4k and still look far better than current games
Best lookingg rpg yea but definitely not the best looking game
Only finished this game once and Hearts of Stone.. Haven't finished Blood and Wine
So just restarting the entire thing again. Hyped
Still finding stuff on my 17th playthrough and okay every end I’m always left wanting more
No microtransactions 😁
100% my experience. word for word.
This one of those 'it' games that belongs in a very exclusive and very prestigious class of games.
Ocarina of Time, Half Life 2, Halo: CE (maybe even Halo 2), Bioshock and now Witcher 3. Extra props to CDPR for rising above the modern trends, building this franchise over time through innovation and goodwill and taking the risk to just spend lots of money to build the perfect game. I don't think this generation will see a game that's better (unless it's Cyberpunk), and I'd be surprised if next gen had anything remotely like it.
I bought the witcher 3 in 2015 and I played a hour or 2 of the game and I put it down for nearly 2 years and I’ve only just finished the main story and I’m playing the expansions and I regret not playing it until now it’s such a masterpiece of a game and I loved all the character especially Geralt
Awesome video by the way guys 😃
i have tried and just cannot get into this game 😂 now i feel like there is something wrong with me im going to try again.
yea when my girlfriend originally got me this game i quit after abbout 30 mins cuz i didnt know the story and the combat felt clunky. went back to it a month later, now i got 200 hours into it lmao
Simple, you need to play w1 and w2 first, if not it just another good open world game.
I experienced the same feeling, I couldn't get into it the first time I played it. That is probably because it felt like joining a party alone where everyone already know each others, I don't know who is Geralt, Vesemir? Yenn? Triss? or even Ciri that I am asked to find. The first hours in game you are just thrown in no where, a place torn by war, everyone seems to know this except me, I don't know who are the Nilfgardians, The northern realms? The Radanians or whatever. So yeah I guess the game was not very welcoming to new comers like you and me, but when you start to understand the plot and what is a "witcher" the fun part begins, I think it was like +20 hours into the game thou.
BERGAOUI Kais this has been exactly my experience with it, having never played the previous games or read the books. It doesn't ease you into the story or the game system like many other RPGs do. You're just dropped right into it and presented with all these characters, locations, game mechanics, menu items, etc, that are overwhelming and daunting to the point that I felt almost immediately disengaged. Similar to some other people's experiences with it, I tried picking it up several times and it never really clicked. I still only have about 5 hours invested and apparently I need to keep trudging through at least another 10 hours of gameplay before the pieces start coming together and I can start to understand why this game is so great?
Took me 3 tries before I got hooked into it. You’ll actually appreciate the game way more nowadays because we have so many disappointing games filled with microtransactions now.
Am I the only one who played the crap out of Fallout 4, I mean I got so addicted that I replayed the game 6 times and finished them all. The first faction that I had chosen was the Istitute, then the minutemen, then the minutemen again but as a girl, then the brotherhood of steel (BOS), then the railroad, then finally the minutemen again. But after I did this the game got very boring and stale so I sold it.
xXFATALVIRUSXx I've personally beat the game about 4 times. Although imo it didn't feel like the previous fallout titles. It kind of felt like a spin off, keeping the same concepts as fallout 3 and nv but being a entirely different game. Player choice was pretty much gone because you couldn't play as you wanted to. You were forced to play as an ex military, loving father just trying his hardest to find his son, no matter the cost. While I did love the game for what it was It definitely was not the same as fallout 1 through nv.
I am ONE of those that took 3,4 tries to get into the game... there's a fine line where you go from "I really don't see all the hype' to "OMG this is the BEST GAME EVER' and for me was the long intro videos and not knowing the full combat system... but after sticking to it for more than 5 hours i never ever looked back.
I urge you to play the Witcher 3 with the "Enhanced Edition" mod. It's
unbelievable how much work the person who made it put into it and, in my
opinion, it makes Witcher 3 even better than it already is - I know,
that doesn't sound possible, but it is!
Quick run down of what the mod does.
Overhauls the combat system, keeping it actionpacked while making it a
bit more tactical and dangerous if you aren't paying attention to your
stamina and adrenaline. Essentially a bit like Dark Souls / Witcher 1.
Gets rid of quest level barriers, now you can do any side quest no
matter your level, as all the monster levels are normalized across the
whole game.
Revamps alchemy. Brewing potions is a tad bit more realistic and alchemy
is overall buffed and important to staying alive.
Adds a couple of new camera and lock-on options. Pretty neat.
Oh and did I mention you can change pretty much any setting the mod adds? Yeah.
I could go on and on, but here's the link with a full description, if
you're still not sure whether you should give it a try.
