I do this every year to the table i bought from ikea 20yo. Once it's dried in the sun for a couple of days I treat it with teak oil.
I came here to say pretty much the same thing! I pressure wash my teak outdoor furniture and then put on teak oil and it's great until I have to cover it for winter.

Я один раз также почистила деревянную поверхность....от высокого давления повредила только. Напором хорошо чистить камни но не дерево. Урок получила хороший.
На твёрдость дерева влияет вопервых порода и во вторых на сколько оно было высушенно. Так что ваш урок не был хорошим
Exact sauf sur le bois exotique qui produit naturellement du tanin pour se protéger des intempéries donc ce bois est assez dur pour supporter ce type de nettoyage et après séchage il suffit de le huiler pour empêcher le tanin de ressortir quelques mois 😊
Это лиственница, она воды не боится... А только крепче становится... 2-3 сезона и шуруп хрен ввернешь без сверления
You DEFINITELY have to sand after cleaning ANY wood surface with pressure washing. That's for sure!!

Please don’t do that on a regular basis.
It removes the soft grain leaving an uneven surface that will need sanding. A proper teak cleaning solution is best.
does it matter? it will be nice and who wants to eat on the table before rinsing. I do this every spring. no problem.

I so love to power wash! But, it’s tricky on wood.. to much and u will be sanding! Learned that the hard way. Lol❤

@@lydmilag4077 нет, паркет же это мелкие дощечки и на улицу не вытащишь, чтобы с него вода сразу стекала, даже если он из дубовых дощечек, они всё-равно расширяются от намокания. Паркет электрорубанком проходят верхний слой, а потом уже новое защитное покрытие наносят

People toss away garden furniture looking like garden furniture, that's been in the garden? It's normal to look older when left outside. If that's not desired it should be treated beforehand, but not tossed out! It could even be sanded and looking like this again.

Yeah its not a bad job, sure beats working in a office or a job you clock watch, mainly seasonal so only do around 9 or 10 months👍

That was incredibly satisfying
It has been a charmer over the years that you could take damaged furniture or wood items, clean it, and give it new life. They often have stories attatched to them, as a bench an elderly couple would sit together on, which was good.
